💥RV DEALER CLAIMED THE RV INSPECTOR WOULDN'T FIND 1 THING WRONG IN THIS BRAND-NEW RV. HE WAS WRONG!

  • 😮The RV dealer told our customer he didn’t need an RV Inspection on this brand-new RV, there was no way an RV inspector would find anything wrong!
    🤬When it rains, it pours! AND LEAKS!! BOY was the dealer WRONG!
    🧐THE DEALER SAID: “We welcome your RV inspectors. This is a brand-new RV; they won’t find anything wrong with it.”
    😨This NEW Montana High Country 331RL was parked on their RV lot for probably 8 months or so. What can be wrong you ask? Isn’t that our typical reaction as well, while we are considering a new RV? Why has this RV not been purchased?
    😮From the seller’s point of view, you are totally out of your money, and your mind if you are considering hiring an independent RV inspector. We’ll stand corrected the day we’ll go through an RV without a flaw…! We don’t see that happening in the near future!

    If I were a RV manufacturer I would hire Blue OX to check each unit leaving the factory, imagine having a “Blue OX Certified “ sticker on the side

      That's the thing, they are not going to spend money, reducing their profit margin, and we couldn't inspect 10 a day !!

      Also some of what they find has to do with the unit sitting like water intrusion. Probably harder to catch everything right off the line if you can’t see behind every seal.

    As a retired Certified Home Inspector, I've also inspected quite a few mobile homes over the years. When buying an RV or Mobile Home, always hire a Certified NRVIA RV Inspector. No excuses! Never hire an Inspector that the RV Dealer suggest or refers you to. Get your own. Make sure they are a NRVIA Certified RV Inspector. Again, no excuses!! Great job Pierre & Laurel.

    As a retired home inspector I'd include an infra-red camera in your tool box. They are pricey and it takes some training to understand what the camera is actually showing you. It can quickly identify the source of moisture that you can verify with moisture meter, your eyes, and your hands. You can also use it to check HVAC output or air leaks around openings like windows, doors, roof A/C, etc.

      Mums the word. FLIR is good brand to have. Ask your boss to set you up up with an infrared instruction to keep from getting a false reading. It's not X-ray vision.BTW, also useful for checking electrical. @@blueoxontherun9188

      I've been studying those and trials for a while...one needs to understand structure and materials in order to NOT get false interpretations, right ?

    • @strings1955
      @strings1955 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @blueoxontherun9188 Yes. For example, IR can't "see" thru glass. Have to understand the "physics" involved with IR. Time of day and year can affect what it tells you. A "cold" spot can just as well show a hole letting cold air in as it does with wet spots. That's why u confirm with a humidity device.

    "You won't find anything" L-o-Freaking-L. Keep exposing the liars out there. As a side note. When I purchased a new 2015 F-150 I went thru six (6) of them on the lot before I found one that was acceptable (quality issues with one after another). I should've walked to another brand but I had use of Ford's x-Plan & was looking for a no-fuss/no-muss sales experience type buy. Ended up being a mistake b/c the one I thought was good ended up having a # of issues in 1st 30,000mi. Your customers, if it comes to it, should be ok with possibility of having to find another model camper &/or another manufacturer if the universe is telling them they need to.

    We were lucky enough to hire you to inspect the first XLR that had water damage and also soft floors. You then inspected number 2 XLR number 3 XLR all with the same water damage wood rot and spongy floors. We went to a campers inn to look at a unit before we had you inspect number 4. When we walked up to the unit it had a yellow sign on the door that said bio hazard. As you can imagine I asked the sales person what's up With this unit. His answer was oh just a little water leak. I stopped by the service department on our way out and they said that unit was taped shut because of Black Mold. There were willing to take us in and sell us that unit. We then move on to number 5 during the walk through I noticed that the floor was very soft in the middle. Of course don't worry about. We can take care of it after you buy it. On to number 6. With the help of Pierre and Laurel fingers crossed we have a good unit. Anyone thinking about buying an RV new or used please hire an inspector. Pierre and Laurel we cannot thank you too enough for saving us from the money pit times 5. Until I had the pleasure of meeting you too I never knew what the comment except C4BO.

    Salut Pierre, I can understand why in Europe the slide-out concept is almost absent from their RV market: it is impossible to produce a watertight slide-out, if it doesn't leak brand new, it will eventually leak because of road vibrations. Many don't know that many european manufacturers offer up to a 10 year warranty against water intrusion, you have to have it inspected every year to maintain the warranty.

    OK, here's the thing. Is the dealer responsible for serious manufacturing defects? I don't know if a finger pointing ☝️ towards "CW" is actually appropriate. I don't even know 😢 why the retailer continues ordering this leaky house of cards that seems to be a result of bad engineering. From what I understand lately dealers are so fed up with putting this junk up for sale because they're the ones getting the flack and being called out when it's really not their fault.

    • @blueoxontherun9188
      @blueoxontherun9188  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I understand your point, they still have a choice tho...they just have to stop accepting such "defects" and selling them....they have no issues knowingly passing the torch to the customers 🤔😁

    Camping world is a absolute joke … I give them the benefit of the doubt and like clock work they fail to do the right thing or anything at all.. we bought a 2022 aHeartland fuel 287 from Jacksonville CW of Florida. Back last Oct. unfortunately they are a dedicate a Dealer to the Fuel brand 🤬🤬🤬. So we bought it, did not get it expected only because I’ve been in maintenance 35 years, and I am ocd like you’d never seen. Went for my “walk” through with my sales guy.. that lasted 10 mins. Then He said ok let’s go do paper work, nope I said I will do my own walk through.. 5 hrs later a list of 62 things wrong. Including slide out was out of time big time, half the lap sealant on roof nonexistent, propane side of hot water heater didn’t function, bulb seal on outside back of slide was gone. Power stabilizers wouldn’t go down, underneath sink one of the supply line fittings dripped on hot side, bathrom both hot. & cold sides leaks from faucet underneath. Emergency breakaway for breaks was never hooked up.. and so on and So on. Have them my list said fox it all or I’ll call elsewhere. They said let’s do the paper work and I could bring it back to get fixed… NEVER I MEAN NEVER DO THIS, once you pull out with you rv it’s your mess.. warranties are about as good as the paper their printed on.. especially with Camping World. 4 days later I came back all was fixed and ready to go..
    now heartland warranty department is amazing, I have had to replace both faucets again, they sent them right to my house. I don’t want CW touching my unit. Unit has been amazing, we full time in it and we love it. We do have 2 dehumidifiers moisture is #1 rv killer keep it dry on the inside. .. if they don’t let you get it expected before signing papers, or allow you to do the inspection with your own time frame .. walk away fast…. Fox everything before signing mad leaving with it..

    definitely need an inspector but need a good vetted one at that. I have no idea for the life of me how CW is the largest out there. They just don't seem to trustworthy. Trying to be nice here. ha

    • @blueoxontherun9188
      @blueoxontherun9188  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      CW is not the problem....buyers and repetitive buyers are the culprit. Every time someone buys an RV without an inspection, they are cultivating this industry for" no accountability required to sell a product " 🙄.
      We are creating this IMHO

      @@blueoxontherun9188 I'll check it out. Having said that, if I were looking for a unit to live in, it would need to be higher quality and above average insulation, including insulated slide outs, solid, real wood .. durable materials meant to stand up to every day use. It would not be cheaply made and lacking the best insulation the industry has to offer. I think we can all agree that, overall, quality is at an all time low. Otherwise you guys wouldn't be finding so many problems.
