Today, Tom visits Holmes Mercedes in Shreveport, Louisiana to take a close look at the 2020 Mercedes S-Class S 560.

2020 Mercedes S-Class S 560 has high reviews and with good reason. For 2020, the S-560 has some changes but also comes with the same quality of ride, elegance, technology, and performance of previous years.
New for 2020 is the S-560e, a plugin hybrid version. I hope to make a full video with the 560e when one is available to me. Another change for 2020 comes in the form of being able to control some vehicle systems via voice command.
There are several engine options available including the 4.0 biturbo V8 found under the hood of the S-560 in today’s video. The S-class Mercedes also comes with a a 362-horsepower, twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 for the S450, the S560 and Maybach S560 use a 463-hp, twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8, and the Maybach S650 has a 621-hp, twin-turbo 6.0-liter V-12.
The interior is plush and high tech with a phenomenal combination of comfort and technology allowing for customization that seems endless for many interior options. The ride of the S-class is smooth regardless of road surface, something not always found in similar vehicles. You will also find a massage function as an added bonus that works effectively to soothe sore muscles.
One trait that sets a luxury sedan apart from many other vehicles on the road is a quiet cabin. The S-Class is a model citizen in this area as its cabin noise is greatly minimized as you will discover in our test drive in the video.
Buyers can expect a price range between $91,250 - $232,550 depending on options and trim levels.

The truck storage bin is for grocery bags. I use mine all the time. You fill it up with groceries then it Slides back into the trunk, so you can use the remainder of the trunk.

My mom has a 2016 E350, my dad has a RAM truck, and he bought the S560 2020 and isn’t letting anyone use it, like only like when we are going somewhere. So now we have 3 vehicle’s, great.

Great car, I have the 2016 in black with crystal grey interior, people so enjoy riding with me, this is my second one, had a 2010. Never let me down. So comfortable and good gas mileage around 27 city.
I have the coupé and you can also open and close the trunk with a kick below the bumper in the middle. And you can also program how high you want the trunk lid to open ( in low garage areas).
BTW, took one year to engineer the glove box opening from both sides ( only the S class has this). That is German engineering....lol!
This is definitely not a family car. There’s no way I could give my kids that many button options in the back lol.

2021 S 560 My Next Wheels.
I own a 2018 S560. Love it! I traded my Cadillac XTS for the Mercedes. There are a few things I liked better in the Cadillac...1. The S560 memory seats only move if you push the button to select which settings you want. It should recognize the key fob and adjust to memory settings automatically. 2. The A/C and heater His and Hers setting don't work well. It tries to work, but just ends up turning the fan all the way up or down unpredictably. 3. The Mercedes has no "remote start" on the key fob. It's all in Mercedes-me cell phone app. Remote start in the app needs a lot more work. It almost never successfully starts the car. Then, if you finally get it to work, when you unlock the car the engine turns off. All things considered... I love the Mercedes.
The AC is supossed to preserve a fixed temperature by getting there as soon as it can.. so fan speed would change until that predefined measure is achieved.
How’s the repairs & maintenance been over the years? Still own it ?

Awesome review! as for the capless fuel fill, I like the idea of the gas cap it's a bit more security for occupants if you are rear-ended. on another note, love the rear room in this model!

I use my truck carrier box for when I go to the grocery store and I have a few bags. I'm a lady so mostly I keep a pair of walking shoes in it. Rolled up of course. As a heel wearer, it makes sense to keep a pair of walking shoes in my vehicles.

Very nice presentation, the energy that you kept throughout the presentation was excellent, most of the features you explained in this video is not new to Mercedes S class, since 2007 these are there with S-class, so better to point out the new features and try to explain the new updates in the existing features makes the video much useful to those who look for the new features or updates. All S-class for a decade has the same interior platform and they just make little fancier in every update. your voice and presentation are excellent to keep the energy. Thanks

As long you have warranty is good... but you still will go to the dealer to fix. After warranty is a money pot. I owned and drove 13 Mercedes in Germany. All this Mercedes cost me not this money what a S 500 cost on repairs. With 114,700 miles he was not more repairable and I give him away. The same with my R350, engine failure Mercedes had a problems for 2 years with the balancer. My S550 4 matic was $ 110,000.--. Leaking everywhere wheel bearings bad suspension endless list etc. All have permanent and high cost electric problems. Also I have SL 500 1999 with 90k miles . This thing runs and runs I fix most on my own. I own 9 cars to this time. Most I drive a Ford Taurus limited, 25,000 miles no one cent repair, a chevi suburban and a Ford F350 truck. I repair them all my self. Easy and cheap to fix and they hold for a long time. I don't want even see no more any new or after 2000 built Mercedes. Mercedes dealer a rip off. Wrong diagnostic..... they like to repair more than what is bad..... arrogant. Total overpriced. The same with Audi and BMW. Over engineered crap.

If you make another video can you go into more detail about the infotainment system, how to set and save destinations (such as our home) on the Navi, how to use the voice commands to operate certain functions in the vehicle, and how to incorporate Apple Car Play. So sorry for the long list of requests. We are really blessed to have the opportunity to own such a prestigious automobile. Ryan Dolce I literally bought a 2017 S class from the exact dealership he got this car from, $60k for a car that 28 months earlier was $118k. Had new tires, brakes, oil change, etc so no big service bill coming. Also it has 2 years left of warranty because is was a pre certified and I can buy 2 more years although I will hopefully have my Tesla Roadster before then. I was worried this car would feel like a big step down coming from a Bentley Flying Spur but the car feels just as nice and fast.

I wish they would quit putting so much plastic in the s class, I think the aluminum was way better like in the 2013 model. I also like the wheel fender flares and the steering wheel on the 2013. I hope they will consider these things in future S550 models.
In April 2022 I test drove a 2019 Mercedes best 560 and I’m sorry to say that I felt every bump crack and other imperfection on the road.
I don’t know what is the hype about its great suspension.
It honestly did not feel any different from my existing 2018 Toyota Camry, in terms of the smoothness of the ride on those road imperfections.
Probably the best S Class since the W126. The new W223 looks like it was designed by a 5 year old. Come on Mercedes-Benz, lift your game.

Spend more time showing the features of the selection-info front panel! You showed it, yet not in any detail. Also, showing the ambient interior lighting, but at night..!!! Other than those, it was a great, well-timed, video. Some are longer, yet it’s nice for busy adults to quickly ‘get a feel’ for this 560! Kudos🇺🇸

Not an issue. Most S class owners lease or trade out around 30k miles. This is what I do
I own a 2020 s560 bought right out of the showroom. Beautiful car and we'll engineered.. but as far as material used Mercedes has dropped the ball. Front grill is now plastic. The trim around the windows tarnished easily and cannot be easily cleaned. The rims are aluminum and warp easily. I had to have three repaired within a year not to mention the run flat tires which contributed to the rim problem. I put on regular good quality tires and the ride is much better. Overall I was disappinted. I now have the vehicle for two years and the windshield needs to be replaced due to pitting. Since then I have inquired around and these are all common problems which Mercedes refuses to fix...I own a 1965 230 sl and the quality of material far exceeds the 2020 s560. I have never had a pitting problem in any vehicle I own or a trim piece that can't be brought back to its original good look. I double I would ever buy another...

The thing in the trunk is for grocery bags so your stuff does not roll around.
What it is, is an archaic sedan that will bring you huge repair bills once the warranty is done. I like it, but it seems pointless next to a Tesla S
That thing in the trunk is so when you buy apples, you can put them in it so they dont roll around in the trunk. This does two things; keeps them from getting bruised, and Grandma won't be short one apple because its hiding somewhere in the trunk, meaning you'll you still get your pie.

Get it James! When you finally buy it and other cars as well you won’t worry about saving money or depreciation. I use to worry about depreciation and savings when I couldn’t afford them. Only those that can’t afford a luxury toy worry about things like that. Do your thing, keep wanting it all, and you will get it.
I’ve owned my s550 for a year now and didn’t know that’s how the trunk package shelf worked. I thought it was kind of odd to have a pull out shelf just to be a shelf, my jaw dropped when I saw you push that thing to the floor. I’m going to use it to keep smaller items from rolling around in the trunk.
I wonder if I could find an S 560 to rent for a few days. It would be cheaper than buying one. LOL

No, it did not.
It is an option; if you get it, it would be accessible from the rear seats when you put down the center armrest and open the storage lid. Instead of a little storage box, you would access the refrigerator in the trunk
