Remember the old CSGO economy where people used Submachine guns and save rounds ,I actually liked the strat's that went behind those and how awesome and huge it was to win a eco round

The only issue with that was that games became predictable. You lose the first round, you are incredibly likely to lose the next 2. Buy in round 4, so statistically the game started 3-0 before the economy was equal. I didn’t mind that more competitive rounds are rifle rounds As a CT player this statistic leaned even more against them as if they happened to lose that 4th round they lose the half. Making rifles more affordable made it slightly less of an economy game and made the balance easier. The problem became the A4-S being a superior rifle to the more expensive rifle.
dust 2 was the least played map in the last 2 majors and new maps is a good thing, way too many just go d2/inf/mir only without ever giving new maps a chance
I am guilty of that. I am so bad at adjusting to new things. Not just maps. And my biggest strength is reading the enemy, and on a new map that skill goes away entirely in the very start. I cannot know how many seconds they have to reach any given entrance, peek or you know, anything. I do love DD2, but it is probably good to have some exposure to something new.
I think that they should have considered replacing ancient with Anubis instead. I am guilty of playing the same maps over again, but I have tried to learn more new maps. I don’t think removing a popular map is the answer, rather removing a broken map. Maybe they just need time to fix dust and this will give them the chance, although I am really miffed that they removed what is my favorite map in the game by far. Mirage and inferno are fun, but they can be annoying to play sometimes due to the reliance on teamwork and excicutes (I can’t spell). This more so applies to mirage of course. I really enjoyed dust 2 simply for the fact that you don’t have to do a complex strat in order to win every single time. It Is fun because it rewards mechanical skill and teamwork, and even after the removal of the bridge thing, it felt like it was still a fun and worthwhile map to play. Also, in my opinion, it has the best and most iconic csgo aesthetic. I understand that it isn’t removed from the game, but many people will likely either stop playing the map, or just give up on it because there isn’t really as much fun to be had by making your own clips on a pro level map. The same thing that happened to cache might happen to dust, and I don’t want that to happen. I get that this may be a rant, but it is just my thoughts on the matter.
As a fan of team BIG this is quite a tripple blow. They were the masters of Dust2 and picked it constantly; Tabsen & Co are famous for tapping away with that sweet long range A4; and Syrson is a great agressive AWPer who will be severely affected by the smaller magazine size. Tough days ahead.
First day after the update with the AWP in Overpass B site, in 10 seconds: - Missed first 2 shots - Immediately after I did a 3k - And when I'm about to do a 4k... RELOADS - I got killed, the end. This update hurts at the moment, but it's decent :')

Dude ima be honest i played csgo all 3 days since the nerf and i didnt notice until i saw this video, i think at one point i was a little confused as to why i was already out of ammo but i just ignored it.
Im far from a good player but in a lot of games i even dont think reloading the AWP... The thing was some rushes in smokes when you are alone, tap one shot or here on smokes are pretty basic (and not very hard to find a kill in tiny corridors like the B on dust 2). Now, with only 5 shots, you probally gonna make those shots count a bit more in situations like this.
I picked up a dropped m4a1s and felt pretty vulnerable on it at mid range. Most of the time the opponent had that 5ms turn around time to look me dead in the eyes before finishing them off. lol
In games like cs, r6, valorant etc. defence is generally the stronger side due to the fact that they dont have to push, they can hold angles, stay on sites and just rotate when they need to. Idk why so many people dont see that side of the whole oh defence is favored on this map, that's just inherently how it is in most games like that

I think the game should be a little T sided because it is difficult to attack considering the fact that CTs can just hold an area while Ts have to spend utility and man power to flush out angles..

Not too difficult to attack something when you know you outnumber the 2-3 people holding the site. And then CT has to take the remaining people and essentially attack the site again but without a number advantage.
I wanna valve to change the competitive map pool more often and finally replace all of the old maps like Inferno, Mirage and Nuke. They are still in matchmaking, no reason to cry. I haven't been active in the CS arena since 2014, but I still know 100% that the AWP getting that nerf is a good call. I used to be a die hard sweat AWP main. I could just do whatever I wanted wrt wasting bullets. Knowing that I only needed 5, I would just hax and hope for the best with the other 5. And even that is being charitable. Because it is very much not likely that I will get the chance to shoot 5 seen targets in any given round.

the map pool should be rotating every now and then so it still feels fresh it's very boring watching the same old maps being picked at majors and matches with friends over and over again I really think Valve should remove the majority of maps in the pool and replace with community or new ones every 1 or 2 seasons (after each year) seeing dust2 being changed by anubis out of the pool feels exciting and a breath of fresh air, as players will need to adapt and rule the new map

But I don't like Train coming back for one reason: It's too dark, even after the revision (yes, Train got an overhaul). The m4a1-s problem definitely has not been dealt with. The only time that the 4 bullet kill no longer takes effect is at laughably far distances. For most fights, it's still a 4 bullet kill.

Dust 2 is bad. The doors have always been a massive problem. Either CTs can rush mid, or go lower without being seen. Or Ts can shoot CTs coming out of spawn, they can shoot through doors and see when CTs go to B. So I think mid just needs a total rework. A rework that doesn't let Ts be able to see CTs coming out of spawn and going to B, while also giving mid and lower control to Ts. So basically remove the doors and make it a connector type room, or make the doors tighter and metal so you can't wall bang and see top mid from them.

When news was that Dust2 was removed, I thought it was just removed from the game itself. But it was just moved down to the reserved group, where you can still play it competitively. Why are people acting as though it's been killed?

Dust 2 (especially after the update) became so boring to play that I'm glad they finally removed it. Every game was so repetitive and spawn oriented. Spawn for long -> take long control Didn't work -> everyone is gathering at short getting naded from a and waiting for the smoke to fade to push a. Once in a while when the stars align you get to have a ct smoke and brave teammates who are willing to go mid to b, And on eco you do the old b rush. That's basically all you can do on this map in an average pug and everything is so predictable as a ct as a result which makes this map so boring for both sides and in the end it just comes to aim dueling on a very basic and primitive layout and very few valid positions to hold. Dust 2 was fitting for 1.6 playstyle but it is just not on par with the current level of players in csgo

Valorant is a shit game anyway. I stopped cs in 2020 when valo came out cause i wanted someting fresh and after 2 years i played CS for fun, and let me tell you that after 2-3 games of CS i uninstalled Valorant. I always thought that cs was full of dumb toxic people, and stupid lucky flying/jump shots. Boiii was i wrong, im never going back to Valorant. CS:GO > Valorant forever

I have only played Ancient twice, both in the last two days, after playing it once and not knowing it's history, I told my team this map is so fing ct sided, they were like duh everyone knows, the fact that I a novice can identify that in just a few round on the map as a CT is not a good thing, how did this map make active duty?
Might get some shit for this but the silenced rifle having larger damage fall off at range and the awp going to 5 bullet magazines... Those are now closer to valos phantom and op. Wonder if that was intentional inspiration or "convergent evolution" of design
I think its more a meta that forces it into that direction. Tbh everything more than 5 is bad and everything less is bad. And the a1 will get away from being close to phantom cause its probably gonna be nerfed more.

When news was that Dust2 was removed, I thought it was just removed from the game itself.
But it was just moved down to the reserved group, where you can still play it competitively. Why are people acting as though it's been killed?

Worst update, everything is nerfed the AWP, M4A1-S, DUST 2 all turned to dust.
Everytime they make changes to a map it gets dropped for a short time while that happens. Its nothing new. They aren't gonna scrap their favorite map.

The block in mid on Dust II isnt the only reason it became CT sided, MAA1s era has made every map CT sided..
There's several Dust 2 maps in Halo Infinite, one in Fortnite and several other games. But not in CS:GO.

Dust 2 (especially after the update) became so boring to play that I'm glad they finally removed it. Every game was so repetitive and spawn oriented.
Spawn for long -> take long control
Didn't work -> everyone is gathering at short getting naded from a and waiting for the smoke to fade to push a.
Once in a while when the stars align you get to have a ct smoke and brave teammates who are willing to go mid to b,
And on eco you do the old b rush.
That's basically all you can do on this map in an average pug and everything is so predictable as a ct as a result which makes this map so boring for both sides and in the end it just comes to aim dueling on a very basic and primitive layout and very few valid positions to hold.
Dust 2 was fitting for 1.6 playstyle but it is just not on par with the current level of players in csgo
