- I Built A 100% WORKING LEGO® Minecraft Cobblestone Generator!! This cobblestone generator is just like the real thing in Minecraft. It spawns cobblestone right by the water and lava, uses a piston to push it out of the way, and even has Steve mining it with a diamond pickaxe! I think you'll really enjoy this LEGO® Minecraft Cobblestone Generator!
Just wanted to say that you're super special, and Jesus loves you.

Hello from the Mojang office! This looks amazing, and I wish I had the parts to build one! Lots of crazy Technic skills on display there.
Hey Marc! It's awesome you saw this and commented! 🙂 Thank you very much. I'm so glad you liked the build 👍

I love the scale of this build more than anything. Minifig-scale minecraft is too small to fit mechanisms in, life-sized gets too expensive, but I feel like _this_ middle ground has SO much potential... this is already *mind boggling,* so can't wait to see what you do next in this scale!!!
Now I wanna see this get made life-sized because you mentioned that idea
Yoo i love your vids!
Thank you! You're spot on, this scale is perfect for mechanisms. Your comment means a ton! 👍 Looking forward to your next videos too! ☺️
Couldn’t have said it better

Wow. Seeing this built gives me a whole new respect for basic machines. Some of these mechanical concepts are next level ingenuity. The scissor lift with the block leveler that doubles as a lift assist? WHAT.
Also the dual user motor that keeps all the lift/drop timing in sync. 👌🏻 Genius.

I’ve seen a lot of people “Improvise” building a lego Minecraft set. But this BY FAR is the most impressive one I’ve ever seen. You could honestly sell it in a lego store and I would believe it was made by a company. You my friend have more than earned this sub.
Thank you so much!
i mean, it's kinda the point of lego but nowadays we have adults playing lego and just building the sets in the manuals, and they think they're doing "hard" sets or idk, but one sure thing is they're just stupid. official minecraft lego sets are trash imo, but this is really cool
@@thinkingspace3438 There are more adult oriented lego sets that are larger more realistic models like the Titanic set. Very expensive, but more akin to building a model plane or a puzzle than playing with a kids toy. That said, anyone can play with any Lego set.
@@AfloatFob i was talking about that, "adult" set just means it takes more time and more space to build, but it's still just following rules, there's literally nothing hard or creative or what you want, and most of the adult lego players are just playing those sets in the intended way...
i know that minecraft sets are mostly made for kids but that's fun to see how boring and not creative the default sets are when it comes to minecraft which is like the ultimate sandbox game
@@thinkingspace3438 My point is, some people like engineering moving art pieces, while others just want to build a model to display and lego happens to be their medium for doing so. Others are into collecting memorabilia like Star Wars figures and sets. It's not all about being creative, it's about having fun.
An actual marvel of lego engineering
The water and lava “making” the cobblestone looks incredible, mate! Keep up these amazing Minecraft/Lego combos!
One thing that I really like about this is that everything is optimized. Nothing (mechanically) can just be taken away and the machine can still work fine. Everything has a purpose and is perfectly synchronized, which is super satisfying. I am now inspired to try something similar. Great video!
Thank you so much!
.. ,....k.j.kmmmm...
Machine would work fine without steve mining
@@Milo-wh8dh
The machines goal is to properly emulate the idea of a Minecraft cobblestone generator. Those don't work without someone breaking the block. So yes the machine would function but the specific goal of the machine would not be fulfilled. I personally believe one of those things is more important and does not make this persons comment at all incorrect.
@@willster2967 true fair enough
The thing you used to hide steves arm mechanism looks like a furnace, So if you changed the grass there to a furnace, not only would it fix the odd looking block. But it would also look like Steves Mining the cobblestone To smelt in the furnace or hes waiting for the stuff in his furnace to smelt!
perhaps turn the area around him into his base
The friction on the scissor lift actually enhanced the effect since the last push pops it up

That's a really awesome build, love how smoothly it runs. I can't even imagine how much work must have went into this.

Hard to believe people are designing things like this, or doing good things like mr beast, while others cook chicken in nyquil and get liver damage.

For the arm mechanism hole, based on it's shape and colour you could use a furnace to hide it. That could utilise the shape of the hole and would look pretty cool
That's genius. 😮
Yeah, Steve could be cooking the cobblestone into stone!
Albert Einstein is reborn guys!!!!
This would be a great Lego set
I thought i was good at legos, but when i saw this it made me look like a person who just touched their first lego! Great job!
I also something along the lines of what you said.
I love how much time you allotted at the end of the video to just let it run and allow us see all the little mechanisms doing their part. I sat there stunned for the full final 2 minutes just watching everything run so perfectly. If I we're you, I'd have this thing running 24/7 on my desk! Steve could be working alongside me😊
Checks in on Steve and how much cobble he mined "5 Million!"
The scripting and the occasional “wow” sound effect is top tier, really unique. I also love the extra addition of the voice lines to show how many blocks. And as for the build, super impressive, surprisingly compact!

This is pure genius. That problem solving ability is crazy
I'm one of those people who have no idea how these lego machines work, but I can tell while knowing nothing that this has a ton of thought and work poured into it! Would definitely buy it if it was a marketed Lego set.

You need to get this approved as a custom lego set. This would honestly work well as a lego technic/minecraft set.
Imagine if it actually generated lego bricks, free lego stone statues yooo
6:10 Just have an idea to change that gray modified brick you said you wished was in brown. You could use it to hide the axle running into the arm by turning the gray brick into the bottom of a furnace, because they have that shape in-game :)
Awesome idea!

Honestly pretty cool to see this. If I recall correctly, this is Lego Mindstorms NXT right? My school briefly taught an overview of this for 11th grade robotics class, and it's great to actually see it in action forming such a fun little project!

dude, fantastic video and mech. also loved the way you explained it as you were building, made it super easy to understand!
@@Dylan82ty hi
Thanks so much, Riley! I really appreciate your comments. They're thoughtful and encouraging!
Great design. I have only one minor nitpick with it, and that is the way the piston arm behaves. Usually the piston would push and immediately pull back, because the spot needs to be free in order for the lava/water to flow and create the cobblestone. But your design has the piston extended until Steve is done mining it. This visually implies that the machine is reliant on Steve to do the mining to create more cobblestone, but in reality, the only thing it is reliant on is for Steve to clear the space before it can push a generated piece of cobblestone.
The talent to build somthing so cool that TWO of the most inportent people in the mincraft community is insane
This is really cool. I miss those days of playing with Lego and I'm glad through TH-cam we can live that nostalgia again even without the physical pieces.
This is very inspiring. I have never seen something like this push the limits of what you can do with tiny building blocks and a few motors.
I just finished using a basic version of this same device, my piston had a button on it, I opted for a diamond pickaxe and used dirt blocks for the base of it.
I am thinking of using one to make a huge pillar of cobblestone in a one block skyblock map I am on....I want to build on the world floor for mob spawning and killing, maybe even make a player created ocean with some kelp and a few water buckets too.
I am a huge fan of minecraft and this is one of the craziest lego creations i ever seen.
I'm so glad! Did you get to see the vid I posted today? You'll probably like that even more :)
Honestly, LEGO should make this a set. This thing is very impressive and looks really fun!

I was really surprised when he built Steve and the mechanism for him, and how well it works and looks. Not to mention all the intricate design of all the mechanisms working together with perfect timing… Truly a masterpiece my friend😎👏🏼👏🏼
Big respect to steve for using the pickaxe by his left hand
