There are some good questions below your video, if you want to help the algorithm, it may be worth answering them, I know I'd like to know the answers!
Economy is usually an overlooked aspect of the game when talking about modding, but it's one of the most important to look at IMO. It doesn't take too much to end up with tons of money, and nothing to spend it in. Great video
as they like to say, "you got some skyrim in your mods there." keep modding, you know that theres better u can achieve, its like gambling in that light
Mods like these, even overlooked ones makes Skyrim much more immersive. I never thought of modding my skyrim's economy until now, and its a good thing some of these mods are still on LE. Great Video. And your game looks amazing! Good job! I'm so envious xD
The factions mod is fun. There was an update to make it more like a XCOM with followers but the really fun part is the merchant part where if you sell to certain people the equipment ends up in different hands. Let's say you destroyed a army of orcs. You can take that orc equipment and sell it in solitude then next think you know those orc weapons are in the hand of the imperial army.
The mod is very complex which needs another video for it :) I wanted to include the merchant part but the mod is just too big to showcase for now. But I already have this saved for a future mod showcase I planned. I also used to play this mod back then :D I love it as well
It's great hearing about these mods, although, personally, I edit out all the "boring" mechanics of selling/trading/bartering for my max-modded playthrough on my channel (since who wants to watch that stuff??) , but for my behind-the-scenes play when I'm doing day-to-day stuff, the "Your Market Stall" looks really awesome and I hadn't heard of it before. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Landlord, Trade Routes and Real Estate are all mods I gave up when I transitioned to SE a few years ago. I’ve toyed with the idea of trying them again, but I’ve had other rpg fish to fry. I hope the SE versions are also compatible with AE. I really loved all three of them. T&B has been in all my mod lists for so long, I barely remember what the economy is like without it. Evolving Economy looks like a really cool new contender! Thanks for all your hard work, and wonderful videos 😊.
Hey man! Good news... I used AE in this video :) They all work with no problems! I always showcase my mods with the AE version of Skyrim (Just a heads up!) Thanks for watching!
We need a crafting mod that makes armor off enemies unusable (broken), where you can disassemble the gear for materials, and need to disassemble 5 pieces in order to then craft it. This would COMPLETELY change the gameplay.
This video is so high quality. I love how you really thoroughly explain every mod. Instant sub. Minor criticism: I wish the Mod links were higher up in the description.
Hey man! Thank you so much. Really glad you enjoy my video! I apologize I just saw this and will see if I can put the modlinks higher up in future uploads (after today's video)
Great video Panda! I've never really thought about the economy In Skyrim until this video. Trade and Barter looks amazing, so I will definitely be trying out some of the mods you showcased! :)
Hey Kaoson! I wanted to make this video because I remember when I wanted some economy mods I had a hard time finding them in one place. So this video will definitely help those who wants to add some economy related mods :) Thanks for the visit!
@@CaptPanda Oh It sure will dude! If I ever start a new modlist Ima come back to this video to build my economy around these mods! Looking forward too your next upload bud! :)
With Blackthorn Village, Windstad Mine and Heljiarchen Farm, the Luxury Suite and my income from adventuring, I never have to worry about money, food, or ores in the game. I satisfy my Hearthfire building urges with the mine, farm and town, and my desire to help the locals of Skyrim with entertainment and jobs. The annoying thing about the game is, you put points into Speech and get all the left side percs, Allure, Merchant, Investor Fence and Master Trader, you invest in these business's and when you go to see what they have... it's still all the crap they usually had, no wonder they're poor.
I love Blackthorn Village! you should try the others with the mods I mentioned in this video to give it a more challenging way to earn money so building those Hearthfire buildings will feel more rewarding
This is exactly the type of video I needed and didn't even know it! I have some economy mods but overall they're not substantial enough. Thanks for these great suggestions and a good structured video!
C.o.i.n has been a staple in my xbox lo forever now, it's just makes so much sense and I like the look of the coins. Would love a 2.0 version with different denominations for the coins
What a timely mod showcase. I’m literally creating a new mod list and having issues with a trader mod I used for the last several mod lists. I thank you for the first mod, off the bat as it seems exactly what I’ve been waiting for since I started modding. Although the mid I had used just set merchant gold to ridiculous amount of 20000 it was far better than the vanilla which seemed so underwhelming since release. As long as I didn’t abuse it I didn’t lose immersion but this seems far superior and exactly what I was wanting. Thanks for the great video again!
Hey welcome back playing Skyrim! hahahaha how was fallout? Glad the video was useful to you! :) BTW, you can combine most of the mods I showcased in this video. :)
@@CaptPanda lol Fallout is a blast and challenging to mod for sure compared to Skyrim. Same with Red Dead redemption 2 but worth modding for sure! Made a few videos on both as well and just kind of jumping back and forth between the three games lol.
@@CaptPanda yeah you can use MO2. You create another global instance. But I use Vortex for that because when I first downloaded Fallout 4 I used A mod list by ESO. I tried to use it twice but it was not very good at all and riddled with issues and outdated in so many important ways such as UI and weather and ENB. And plagued by the black face bug due to old skin textures. I spent probably a month experimenting with just character creation and fixing that whole issue. It is by far the worst thing about modding fallout in my opinion. Then you got issues with downtown area, vault Tec elevator crashing and killing character as you start the game. It’s a mess at first lol. Then Red Dead Redemption 2 is a whole completely different animal that don’t use either vortex or MO2. It’s a challenge for me since I’m not very computer savvy and mod authors aren’t very forth coming about how to install their mods and some are just jerks honestly but I got it figured out too and it looks and runs fantastic but more limited In available mods.
One I also like, that was way better in LE, is Taxes of the Nine Holds. The sucky thing is you have to set up the values manually in MCM, but it does allow you to have your own take on the economy of skyrim. Usually what I do is set it for every 90 days and then base the numbers on various factors like how many industries does each hold have and there is a good bit of info if you scroll the wiki, should post my values someday lol. Despite its set up, its a great mod to balance how easy it is to get money in skyrim.
Wow... that is actually cool. Never heard of it so I am glad you shared about it. I really wish more economy related mods are made with more depth than the current ones we have.
Now a video on ways to spend money, preferably passively. Like your troop wages in mount and blade for example. Making money is easy enough already, but now there needs to be ways to spend it outside of buying stuff directly. Also perhaps ones that make armor REALLY pricy so buying/making some is actually an achievement?
Real estate can be really OP on long term run. you finish quickly with hundred thousand of coin every week. and it's super useful for crafting, because mine give you ores.
If anyone wants to go with a more simple way to just make the economy harder without any scripts or anything, my mod "Higher Prices" and "Higher Prices SE" are both available on Nexus and compatible with any version of Skyrim!
I thought I'm the only who have trouble getting NPC to SHUT their mouth during conversation lol... Thanks you for the video, this helps me to get another reason to play skyrim again
Heyo, you just got a new subscriber. Been looking foe a new skyrim mod channel after brodual and MXR went offline. I am definitely be keeping my eye out for your vids from now on!
I use "Real Estate" as opposed to "Landlord". It gives you stuff from farms and mines, and rent from buildings you buy. You can buy every building in skyrim.
I’ve watched a few of your videos and am pleasantly surprised. There are many good mod reviewers I watch out there, but you really go above and beyond! Keep up the great work, you deserve the growth.
Economy is my favorite thing in the game. Now that I downgraded to 1.5.97 I’m using Simple Taxes, and good money sink is SV Menu, since with that mod you can make every service like cooking pot or smith to cost money. If you think about it, it dosent make sense that you use them for free! This is one of my favorite mods and add it always.
This was just what I was looking for. I'm tired of making coin from just adventuring and selling to merchants. Some of these mods will do nicely. Thank you.
You've brought to my attention some very interesting mods I never knew existed, very well done, you've earned a subscriber I'm confused though, Real Estate seems like it'd conflict with Landlord? Because they both seem to do the same thing?
Hey man! Glad my video was helpful. Yes, Landlord and Real Estate won't be compatible with each other. The rest of the mods will but I have not tested Evolving Economy with trade and Barter yet.
Fantastic selection, congratulations! Only knew Trade and Barter and Trade Routes. Installing COIN right now and considering Evolving Value Economy. Still need to know if I should use it together with the other ones or alone. Anyway, thank you!
But I fought against the bloodsuckers! Why get rid of the vampires and allow the landlords? Interesting selection of mods, I'm not sure that buying up all the businesses in the game makes sense from a lore perspective (e.g. Warmaiden's) let alone morally. But I can see how it would work better outside the cities. I'm definitely going to check out some of these mods further.
Lol!! I agree but I think it will now depend on the perspective of the person playing like, if he will buy every single businesses and such. Alright! Hope you have fun! :)
That is debatable and subjective. Also, why moral of all things? Nords are barbaric people who shed blood for the sake of it (glory). Why defy capitalism? Capitalism is what makes us today.
It works perfectly fine in my case except for the Gibber coin. This is what the author also mentioned (Author of COIN Merchant Exchange): "There is a bug where the option to exchange does not appear if you select another coin first. We can pretend this is an intended feature to mess with your sanity hehe ;) Ill have to fix that, but other than that it looks like this mod does not need an update for the latest COIN updates."
Landlord and Real Estate should not be enabled together but it won't break the game. It will just seem weird because of buying the property twice. Here is a list of mods that should work fine together trade and barter trade routes Landlord or Real Estate COIN or Evolving Value Economy trade routes Landlord or Real Estate COIN
I love that you just recommend mods mods not even in categories normally i will just click on one and BOOM a bunch of different mods come up. Keep it up!
Hey man! Sorry for the late response! It’s part of the mod Armors of Velothi Pt 2! :) if I remember correctly the specific name is something like “merchant”
We can overhaul Skyrim's combat to look and play like that of a variety of other games, and it's cool, but if I could have Morrowind's or Mount&Blade's barter system with Daggerfall's flavor text added on top...
@@CaptPanda In Arena and Daggerfall you and the shop owner go back and forth making counter offers until they give in. I don't think people really used it much though because in Daggerfall you can have a whole horse-drawn cart full of stuff.
I played LandLord for a while, the game ended up forgetting what my properties were even though I still had all the deeds in my inventory. Great idea, poor execution.
Oh really? I think we should post a “bug” thread about it but not too sure if the author is still active in fixing the mod :/ hopefully more mods like this will come out
Just to give a heads up as of this post i'll try to keep it short E.V.E (Evolving Value Economy) was removed from Nexus, and so was the source by its author, its latest version is still archived and can be found by looking. It is unknown if the author will ever return or open source it as of this post. Trade Routes is currently finnicky to install and may not work to some, perhaps due to Skyrim still being updated, Anniversary content not supported or adding mods that brings their own ingredients/valuables that is not supported, removing it will cause the saves that has it active to corrupt so be careful, Id recommend keeping in touch if the mod is being updated as it still unique. Other than that, a good list, id suggest looking into other mods making the economy more interesting for skyrim since it does lack that flavour of economy in base game [even for a 2011 repainted game], its either too cheesy or too nonsensical.
I just want an rpg like skyrim where you can can have a real impact on the world, especially through economy. Lile doing missions and selling a lot/aending trade routes the town actually becomes more well off and grows. Or intentionally destabilize another one you want to attack later, by iterrupting trade, making a monopoly on importsnt items etc to put them in a bad way. Shouldn't be that hard
Wow I love that idea man hoping that can be possible in the future (TES 6). I love games that can do those and it has always been my wish for something like that to be possible.
Most of these mods make it harder to get rich (Except for the market stall and real estate type mods) Other than that, the mods makes the economy more complex and challenging :)
Amazing video, thanks for sharing.I was really getting tired of literally tripping over gold everywhere and becoming rich after a 5h gameplay. This mods look amazing, and you make them look aven better. Your Skyrim looks beautifull too! Can I know wich NPC replacer you are using? Belethor looked cool! And I noticed that there were plenty of body types around. Some fat, some thin, it's awsome! How did you do it?
Hey Mariana! Thank you so much and I am glad the video was useful. Sadly, I do not remember what NPC is used here since this is a old list I use long time ago :/ about body types it's Obody
I wanted a Kingdom Come Deliverance haggle mods tho. That we can sell items in higher prices or buy items in lower prices. Imoacted by quality/rarity & quantity of the items and our speechcraft.
Hey Mate, how u doing? So, i'm from Brazil and i love your videos.. i wish to know, what is the Modlist you using in this video? Just Graphical and ENB
Heyy! I’m doing good. Modlist I use is AVO. I changed the weather to N.A.T and ENB to Cabbage ENB. If you want to know the specific graphical mods the list use, I posted it on my Discord channel :)
@@CaptPanda Good! Before I knew I wanted to be author I always wrote comedy. Laughter is honestly more precious now then back then. Also I owe you! Now my Khajiit can quit their dishonest life style and be simple shop keepers! **Ignores muffled Khajiit swears and monk affirmations behind me**
Ah dammit...I wasnt even gonna install mods like this but now I feel like I have too cuz I am sure vanilla merchant wont have enough money to buy all my loot.
They are! lol Especially if you like business related games. It makes you feel like your wealth is progressing because of the amount of properties you own.
They basically work well with one another and have patches for each. Not sure if Evolving value economy and Trade and Barter will work well together though and for Landlord and Real Estate, you need to choose one as it will be useless to have both. Landlord = Simple, Real Estate = more complex. So basically, trade and barter trade routes Landlord or Real Estate COIN or Evolving Value Economy trade routes Landlord or Real Estate COIN Don't forget there are patches in the FOMODs
When I used "Your Market Stall," Braith bought a dagger, and spider venom......What is Braith up to?...... Also, several Companions kept buying milk......Milk drinkers......
No worries man! It's kind of a lot... so if you have time, go to my discord and I post most of the FAQ in there. (After getting the @The Elder Scrolls role, go to #help under '"The Elder Scrolls" or check the announcement channel."
I love skyrim, but I think there are 2 things that almost ruin the game: 1 - merchants not having enough money for you to sell to them, 2 - being encumbered. These mods look like they could fix some of those problems

That is debatable and subjective. Also, why moral of all things? Nords are barbaric people who shed blood for the sake of it (glory). Why defy capitalism? Capitalism is what makes us today.
Subscribed 😊 it's so cool to discover new mods and new you tubers showcasing them. I love that cool animated backpack. What's that mod called?
Hahaha thank you so much! and it's part of Armors of the Velothi Pt. II :)
FNV's curency system being just a tacked on misc item was kinda nice, but skyrim coin is actualy a nice mod.
I actually hope more economy related mods gets released.
glad you mentioned the LE of landlord
Hahahah it's way better on LE and a ton of features.
COIN Merchant Exhange isn't currently updated to the latest version of COIN (the main mod), so it isn't usable for the time being
It works perfectly fine in my case except for the Gibber coin.
This is what the author also mentioned (Author of COIN Merchant Exchange):
"There is a bug where the option to exchange does not appear if you select another coin first. We can pretend this is an intended feature to mess with your sanity hehe ;)
Ill have to fix that, but other than that it looks like this mod does not need an update for the latest COIN updates."
Someone is going to install all of these at once and wonder why their game is broken.
Landlord and Real Estate should not be enabled together but it won't break the game. It will just seem weird because of buying the property twice. Here is a list of mods that should work fine together
trade and barter
trade routes
Landlord or Real Estate
COIN
or
Evolving Value Economy
trade routes
Landlord or Real Estate
COIN
I love that you just recommend mods mods not even in categories normally i will just click on one and BOOM a bunch of different mods come up. Keep it up!
Thanks! 😁
What Armor are you using during the showcase of the second mod? it looks awesome!
Hey man! Sorry for the late response! It’s part of the mod Armors of Velothi Pt 2! :) if I remember correctly the specific name is something like “merchant”
Great video! Where can i get that hanging lantern like at 4:18?
It's part of Armors of the Velothi Pt. II :)
@@CaptPanda ty
Great video! What ENB are you using here?
Cabbage ENB! :D
Imma need weekly mod showcases if you will please sir I love this content
Will do!! Just got back!!! New video will be up tonight
thank you for this, i truly appreciate!
Rich Vendors is all you need.
Unless…. You wanna feel even richer with the amounts of property you own 💰
Oh my god, I can finally play a new class. The Merchant.
Yes lol!
Hi, you did a great work bringing this side of the game.
Is it possible to link your video in the video section of "RE - Real Estate Continued" ?
Hi! Are you the author? If yes, sure!! :) I remember linking it back then but I’ll have to check
We can overhaul Skyrim's combat to look and play like that of a variety of other games, and it's cool, but if I could have Morrowind's or Mount&Blade's barter system with Daggerfall's flavor text added on top...
That would be perfect! Love mount and blade's barter system. I have not played Daggerfall so I have no idea how it works. Fingers crossed...........
@@CaptPanda In Arena and Daggerfall you and the shop owner go back and forth making counter offers until they give in. I don't think people really used it much though because in Daggerfall you can have a whole horse-drawn cart full of stuff.
What mod are you using to get the backpack with the hanging front lamp?
Hi! It's part of Armors of the Velothi Pt. II
never knew that this was a thing in modding skyrim
It’s always overlooked but definitely brings in a big difference when playing Skyrim. :)
I played LandLord for a while, the game ended up forgetting what my properties were even though I still had all the deeds in my inventory. Great idea, poor execution.
Oh really? I think we should post a “bug” thread about it but not too sure if the author is still active in fixing the mod :/ hopefully more mods like this will come out
Fine quality, professionally done, never disappointed…. Be well….
Thank you very much! :)
Very interesting video, I admit to being about as interested in being a landlord as in, you know, adventuring these days...
Just to give a heads up as of this post i'll try to keep it short
E.V.E (Evolving Value Economy) was removed from Nexus, and so was the source by its author, its latest version is still archived and can be found by looking.
What mod do you use for the ground textures in whiterun? Thx man loved the video
Great vid thanks! But my problem is becoming rich and not much to spend/buy. Ill look into expensive castles maybe
Most of these mods make it harder to get rich (Except for the market stall and real estate type mods) Other than that, the mods makes the economy more complex and challenging :)
Bethesda: "Write that down! Write that down!..."
Lol! Economy better be good!!!
Oh that would be amazing but not to sure if we can have the exact same thing as a mod
If you want to know the specific graphical mods the list use, I posted it on my Discord channel :)
the mods are neat and all BUT
whats that armor you are using in the thumbnail 👀
Hahahaha I mentioned it in one of the comments but it’s something like verolethi pt 2 armors
A summury of the mods on the liks:
Dovahkin: **Points at a rising arrow** "Fus Ro Stonks!"
Hahahaha dude… that made me laugh 😂
@@CaptPanda Good! Before I knew I wanted to be author I always wrote comedy. Laughter is honestly more precious now then back then.
Also I owe you! Now my Khajiit can quit their dishonest life style and be simple shop keepers! **Ignores muffled Khajiit swears and monk affirmations behind me**
You should do what you want to do man! Go for it!
hahaha that would be great to see them quit their dishonest life style
Proud of you homie
Thanks Kubson! Hope you doing well!
Ah dammit...I wasnt even gonna install mods like this but now I feel like I have too cuz I am sure vanilla merchant wont have enough money to buy all my loot.
Hahahah go and get it!!
Good list brother. 👍👍👍
That's some cool armour
Thanks! :) It is indeed awesome!
The only one I knew of is The Landlord. I'm going to have to try the other ones 😁.
I think you are missing mod 6. Only found 3 of them in the console.
Hey thanks man! I fixed the timestamp :) Hope you enjoyed!
Great video! But... what in God's name have you done to Belethor? He looks like he's going to sell you an Oat milk Flat White.
Thanks and.... idk what happened to him 😂😂
You have a perfect looking Skyrim. Maybe you should make a wabbajack installer.
It's AVO :) I only changed the weather and ENB and added a bunch of armors, weapons, etc etc :)
Nice list
Thanks man! :)
great showcase as always. Would you share your modlist please?
I use AVO as my base :)
All these mods sound great. The only one I'd ever heard of is C.O.I.N.
They are! lol Especially if you like business related games. It makes you feel like your wealth is progressing because of the amount of properties you own.
4:21 what is your outfit here?
It's part of Armors of the Velothi Pt. II :)
East Indians and Asians must love these mods. Lol
Yes lol
Evolving Value Economy was my pick since it's lightweight, compatible and bug free. The others in the list is not recommended.
I can agree it’s lightweight and some of the mods do have bugs but in my testing and experience with other modlist, it works fine
How well these mods that you showcased work together?
They basically work well with one another and have patches for each. Not sure if Evolving value economy and Trade and Barter will work well together though and for Landlord and Real Estate, you need to choose one as it will be useless to have both. Landlord = Simple, Real Estate = more complex.
So basically,
trade and barter
trade routes
Landlord or Real Estate
COIN
or
Evolving Value Economy
trade routes
Landlord or Real Estate
COIN
Don't forget there are patches in the FOMODs
I really like that dialogue interface in mod 5, what mod is?
It’s part of dear diary darker version :D
When I used "Your Market Stall," Braith bought a dagger, and spider venom......What is Braith up to?......
Also, several Companions kept buying milk......Milk drinkers......
Hahahahha that's hilarious man
What is the backpack/lantern your character is rocking in the thumbnail? I've seen it here and there but can never find a download or name of it x3
Hey man! It's part of Armors of the Velothi Pt. II :)
INCREDIBLE
Hope it helped! :)
im curious can you use both the landlord mods in this list together or do they contradict each other
Technically, you can. But I think it makes the latter useless.
hey panda sorry if other people have always asked or if you’ve mentioned it before, but what texture mods do you use for skyrim?
No worries man! It's kind of a lot... so if you have time, go to my discord and I post most of the FAQ in there. (After getting the @The Elder Scrolls role, go to #help under '"The Elder Scrolls" or check the announcement channel."
For the algo also ill probably watch your vids to add to my modlist
Wow... thanks man! I really appreciate it
I'm interested in that open stall mod.. Man I'll try it because it's feel like I don't buy shop and just abandone it
Hahahaha it’s fun for roleplaying!
whats the outfit mods are you using for mod number 3? at 5:44?
It’s part of Armors of Velothi Pt. 2 :)
I love skyrim, but I think there are 2 things that almost ruin the game:
1 - merchants not having enough money for you to sell to them,
2 - being encumbered.
These mods look like they could fix some of those problems
Hope the video helps! :)
what is that backpack lantern thing you have on your back while walking around in this video?
Hey man! It's part of Armors of the Velothi Pt. II :)
@@CaptPanda dude thank you so much
Cool Mod to become a Landlord
Next Mod: Meow Zedong the Khajit 😭
😂😂
