The S7 is a really great phone, too bad it runs touchwiz. That's the biggest flop on Samsung phones, plenty of lags, really bad ram management and ugly af UI.
Your are full of contradictions, you are watching a video where the the s7 loaded apps faster than iphone 7, yet if lag was the case the s7 would have been trumped but you are looking far into the past and not what samsung offers now with their software. And don't mistake animations with lag, most of the animation s can appear like lag but its not.
The iPhone is still the fastest phone money can buy but I was not talking about who is faster. Lag is different from performance. A lag is the delay between the action (when you press the screen) and the response of the phone and the animations on TouchWiz are part of the problem. Take a look at the OnePlus 3, the moment you touch the screen it instantly interacts and responds.
For the ram issue, samsung has no excuse...they had the same problems with the note 4, S6, note 5, S6 edge plus, and now with S7 and note 7. Luckily the Exynos versions have less of this problems but is still frustrating having 4gb of ram and have your apps killed in the background.

The S7 actually supports real multitasking though. You can actually run multiple apps simultaneously on the same screen. This makes ram management a lot more complex for the S7 versus the iPhone which simply hibernate s anything but the one app on screen. In real life use with the S7 you can have Pokémon go and both TH-cam and a Pokémon tracker app all running simultaneously which is an awesome experience and simply impossible on the iPhone which can only switch back and forth between frozen apps.

I don't know why, but your iPhone 7 Plus is extremely slow. Actually, I do know why. You're running 10.0.1 which had optimization issues. If you run this test on 10.0.2, the GeekBench 3 scores hit 3507 in single core and 6074 in multi core which blows the Note 7 out of the water. You should really make an edit to your video to properly show that.
If you remake this video, I'm pretty positive the iPhone is going to beat the Note 7 in everything except the camera shortcut.

some of the comparisons are nonsense, bc the gta game for example has an animation in the beginning on the iphone while on the s7 not or the real racing app has a bug on your iphone. So you really can't compare the speed there.
Actually you can hear the iPhone 7 hissing all the way thorugh the test, especially when it's turning on! (HissGate) Really annoying and scary sound for a $850+ handset...

I have a s7 edge and my sis has a iphone 7 plus. Whenever we play pubg mobile, I have to play with lowest graphics and it still lags, my sister plays with highest graphics and it doesn't lag at all. Really weird.

if you clear out the open apps the samsung should do better than iphone. The iphone will always do better when you have many apps open thats just the way it is but when samsung apps are closed it does improve its performance. SO its really how many apps you want to keep open or just use task killer and delete your apps and clear the cache to have a faster phone.

So when the IPhone 6s is faster than the IPhone 7 Plus, the Galaxy S7 Edge is ever-so-slightly faster than the IPhone 7 Plus (Except in multi-tasking) and the "mid-range" Sony Xperia X Compact can go toe-to-toe with both the IPhone 6s and the Galaxy S7 Edge, imagine how the Sony Xperia XZ will perform against both of them, including multi-tasking.

you are comparing speeds for different applications.... software written for separate apps could be widly different when it comes to runtime. You should be comparing benchmark speeds

The S7 edge is pushing double the amount of pixels. It's 1440p versus 760p so the iPhone has a huge advantage in graphics. The S7 is just more powerful. If you scale the graphics on the S7 down to the same resolution of the iPhone the S7 flies and you gain about 25% more battery life.

what ive noticed is reaction time on samsung is really slow ( the time between tap and phone recognising the touch) but the processing time is the same if both phones

Considering that the S7 has a 2k screen vs the low resolution in the 7plus, I think that the S7 won in every category. It takes way more power from the S7 to run every app in 2k resolution at those speeds.
Game doesn't run 2k , sorry it's only run 1080P so if open game it's 1080P . Also resolution doesn't matter the speed , it's does matter the battery life

I'm so glad I bought the S7 Edge! The scores are quite close to each other...but the MicroSD can be so invaluable to the common bloke who can't pay for a premium phone AND cloud storage.
Then there are little, less used features like file management, bluetooth transfer etc....Doesn't seem like much when compared to a second camera etc but comes in very handy in a pinch
