This is one of 3 songs that I danced with my wife last Christmas night. She is ill .not sure how long she will be with me but making the best of it. Love you baby.
An individual that i once worked with...told me of a vauge idea of his experiences being on the battle field as a medic, and then as a paramedic on the hoepey fields in Arizona i believe it was. He was taking too much from a lonely boss who seemed to have problems facing the lack of control under his own roof, and was power tripping in a way...this co worker stood his ground and i witnessed this as a younger man (24, and 36 now), and the situation got heated and the co worker told our boss he's quitting right then and there! (believe he finished his shift, but quit very shortly after) I asked him why he would just leave and talk as he did, and his response still resinates with me, to this day. (Only paraphrasing) He told me, "i have seen men on their death beds (similar to a scence from saving private Ryan, is the way i imagined what he was saying...as Tom Hank's character, told one of the soilders to stop administrating any more Morphine) and many of their final words are regrets that they had...such as i should have asked a particular girl out, or i should have told my mom i loved her." After saying all of that...he told me that, he will not take anything from people, as it was a way to avoid having unneccesary regrets, that were avoidable. I personally do not know who you are feeling...as only one could imagine every other persons pain that they are individually facing. Hope my experience can help guide both of you and all those around her, to give that angel back to where she came from.
Imagine living in a time where you looked forward to new music from supremely talented musicians- and it delivered or even exceeded your expectations, giving you a musical experience unlike anything you've heard before.

Yes, I think that I was very fortunate to grow up in the 1960's with all the amazing music that was being made at that time. I was 13 when the Beatles and the Stones first hit the charts and the Beatles, especially, had me hooked. I think this song from the Stones was one of their best.

Named my baby girl after this song. She played it on her guitar many years ago. She saw The stones in concert and was so proud of her name. Sadly she passed away in an awful car accident. Miss you forever.
Damn I miss Vancouver in the 60s and 70s. I feel you brother! I'm in Kelowna, and Vancouver used to be like a big playground. Sadly, things have changed for the worse.

I love The Rolling Stones. But had never really thought about his voice but this song just shows how beautifully he can sing. Thank you Rolling Stones for some of the best music ever!
My first hubby, my high school sweetheart and the love of my life died 5 days before our first wedding anniversary in 1988. He was a drummer and then guitar player. I was a lovestruck teen when he played this to me alone. We had 8 years together, lots of teenage bullshit but 42 years later, I think of him and can see him so clearly when I hear this beautiful song!

My mom's favorite song. Nothing topped it. We sang it in the car, the house, everywhere we went. Although it had nothing to do with a mother/daughter relationship, it was our song. When CD's first came out I looked for Goats Head Soup for 11 years for my mom. It took that long for The Stones to release it. She never wanted anything from me for a gift. But when I found this, I'd never seen such joy in her eyes. As she was dying, I told my family to play this song. She could no longer speak, however everyone could see she was singing Angie as best she could. Now she's passed, I listen to Angie everyday. I generally feel good, but there are times I miss her incredibly. I know there are others like us though that this song means just as much to and it helps.

When these AWESOME guys leave this planet, there music will go on forever. They will NEVER ever be forgotten. EVER. We will never forget the immeasurable contributions these legends gave to the music world. Performance's nothing short of ELECTRIFYING, captivating audiences around the world again and again. Thanks guys for the music, unforgettable memories. Just AWESOME.💋 🔥❤🔥
I was 15 yrs old when this song came out. I thought it was so cool to have a song w my name in it. I love it when I tell people my name and ,to this day, many people will start singing this song.
I was 18 or 19 when this song came out. It was the fall of 1973 and I heard on the radio on commute to classes to a nearby junior college. In my search for original 45 rpm records. I found a pretty clean sounding original pressing of "Angie". The Stones did a number of slower tempo emotional songs. This was my personal favorites.
Just shows true rock music is timeless thru all generations. I'm 65 and still rockin to metal bands to this day and attending rock concerts. I fell in love with a girl in junior high school over this song 😮😊
Me too. We all turn 50 this year! This song is so incredibly sad. I feel like it's the reason my dad gave himself permission to abandon me. He sang it to me when I was 3 and then I never saw him again.
So sorry. Hurts so much to lose those we love. I'm 71 and have lost both parents, my brother and my beloved daughter plus many dear life long freinds. I hope the Lord takes me soon and brings me to heaven. Nothing left for me here now. God Bless.
'Angie' is The Rolling Stones simmering ballad - a deeply moving track built on melancholy acoustics, haunting piano lines and most importantly, Mick Jagger's anguished, passionate vocal delivery.

Me encantó tu respuesta , es así .👌
Would have liked to see the Piano player Ian Stewart since the Piano is the main instrument other than Mick's vocals
@The Burbles she was backstage covered in them just singing along ;)
Usually shirtless and sweating
slow rock but deep .
No-one else could have brought this song to life like Sir Mick. A timeless classic. The Rolling Stones - Just perfect, nothing short of legendary.
Just AWESOME.💋

Such a beautiful song, after all these years... whenever I listen to it... it still so nice !
Love the Stones
I love the Stones! They have always struck a chord in my heart that no other band can hit.
I'm an old man now, but in my lifetime I've seen hundreds of bands and hundreds of shows. My top 5 concerts were the 5 times I saw the Stones.
talking about that earlier at a group bbq. Mine was Eagles at Earls Court and Wembley and of course Queen. The ultimate show band of the time.
@@reic0002mine was feeder opening for candle box but I always wanted to see a list but I'm 44 so I miss Oasis
Best consert I've never seen was Jimi Hendrix😎
Leonard Cohen…three times.
So you never saw Neil Young?
I was 15 yrs old when this song came out. I thought it was so cool to have a song w my name in it. I love it when I tell people my name and ,to this day, many people will start singing this song.
You're very lucky, it's such a beautiful song!
Hey, I made and animated video of Angie using A.I. Wanna check it out? th-cam.com/video/FcUjGP3498E/w-d-xo.html
I love that❤
I was 18 or 19 when this song came out. It was the fall of 1973 and I heard on the radio on commute to classes to a nearby junior college. In my search for original 45 rpm records. I found a pretty clean sounding original pressing of "Angie". The Stones did a number of slower tempo emotional songs. This was my personal favorites.
O rock sempre fez parte da minha vida.Amo!!!!❤
Old but gold
Love this song. What a masterpiece
One of the most beautiful acoustic guitar intros I've ever heard.
Very beautiful melody and sensitive Marie hilley

"Everywhere I look I see your eyes". One of the all-time great lyrics
I think that it is one of the most beautiful phrases ever put together.
This is my favorite song
The Taylor years were absolutely magical. Some of the deepest sounding rock songs of all time.
Absolutely agree.
Their best
I heard Keith got rid of him
Keith couldn't hold his jockstap
I am 55, this band has always comforted my soul through the darkest of days for that I thank you! Godspeed Charlie. 💔😢💔
His song never gets old.. always remember me of the past.. what’s your favorite song?
Rip Charlie. 🖤 Understated elegance and one of the greatest drummers of all time. Say hi to Moon, Baker, and Bonham for us.
Best comment yet
And give Neil a shout out, too.
That wonderful cymbal tap.
My mom named me after this song in 1973, she passed away in 2019 so it's pretty special to me..always will be. ❤
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
@@mickjagger6465 Hi Mick. So nice to see you value your fans so much. . Great.
@@susanjones4980 Hello Susan, good day to you and it’s a pleasure to have you here.
Me too. We all turn 50 this year! This song is so incredibly sad. I feel like it's the reason my dad gave himself permission to abandon me. He sang it to me when I was 3 and then I never saw him again.
@Mick Jagger this song ruined my life!
Happy 80 th b' day Mick ! Keep on rockin - Greatest rock n roll band of all time! End of story ! 7/26/43 😅😅🥃🚬👍
Great ❤ I dedicate this beautiful song to my best friend Angie, she died in May 2024 .. miss you ..

My very best friend passed away suddenly two years ago. Her name was Angie as well. This is so hard to listen to.
Aquí escuchando está hermosa y melancólica armonía después de un quiebre fatal, pero voy a sobrevivir
@@Chatttownchatterwhat a lovely song to have to remember Angie -so sad xxx
So sorry. Hurts so much to lose those we love. I'm 71 and have lost both parents, my brother and my beloved daughter plus many dear life long freinds. I hope the Lord takes me soon and brings me to heaven. Nothing left for me here now. God Bless.
My favorite Rolling Stones song!
God Bless Charlie. Sad day for Rock & Roll
Oh, Angie, don't you weep, all your kisses still taste sweet
I hate that sadness in your eyes
But Angie, Angie, ain't it time we said good-bye?
Oh Angie, I still love ya baby. Everywhere i look i see your eyes......
Rolling Stones?
The Best of the Rock!
Stay Rock!
one of the most beutifull songs
Aww so sad....but great tune about love xo "Angie. Angie. You can't say we never tried..."
simply retro time evolution
'Angie' is The Rolling Stones simmering ballad - a deeply moving track built on melancholy acoustics, haunting piano lines and most importantly, Mick Jagger's anguished, passionate vocal delivery.
Beautiful song and IMHO
Much underappreciated
