Who can give this a dislike? A live studio recording -- no reverb, no autotune, no BS. A live studio recording true to the original studio release. Aside from being a great rendition of a great song, the coolest thing about this is how the guy asks Jagger, "Have you guys been playing Wild Horses?", and he answers, "Not recently, but we could do it, yeah" at which point Richards and Woods just launch into it. No warm up, no prelude, nothing, just play it. The whole thing is note perfect, and they probably hadn't bothered to play it for a few months. You know, we are the first generation to have "Mature" rock stars. That's not a bad thing! These guys are like fine wine. They keep getting better with age!
Man you said it. There are many bands from that rock Era which resonate the same way with me. Every band, every song transmitted has left its mark on each of us who listened and appreciated their 🎶🎵 music.
Thank you Charlie Watts for the countless rhythmic drumming you created together with your band mates. Your beats lives with us for the rest of our lives, and till we meet again, may God makes you our drummer in Heaven. RIP Sir.
So good it is perfect, notice how after years of singing this song Mick still gets mesmerized and lost in singing it still acting out his emotions in physical gestures and how Keith so effortlessly does that harmony over him that fills the whole room. This was part of The Rolling Stones love affair with country and western music brought on by the friendship of Keith Richards and Gram Parsons, who was the catalyst that bridged rock and country and western in the early 1970's no Gram Parsons, no Eagles , no Poco, no Wild Horses and all the rest!
I agree wholeheartedly… and tonight I unfortunately decided to check out an X-Factor contestant's version of this song. I know the lad wanted to show what his voice could do, but he took that beautiful, hooky chorus and murdered it by taking it up by an octave and belting it out like some demented eunuch club singer. The original melody was changed, where it should really not have been. I had to listen to this Stones' version of it again, to quell that horrible sound in my head, of art being nailed to the cross of commerce.
Antonio Viale Keith was playing mostly chords on what sounds like a 12 string. The fill, if I'm thinking of the same one referenced, sound like a 6 string. Ronnie was the one adding the fills.
Bro, I'm 71 and been always late to college in the morning bc was listening Sticky Fingers. Hats off to Mick Taylor and the rest of the band. Sad Charlie Watts not with us. Time is relentless. But, yeah, we are still here, my friend, together having fun :))
Thank you. My magnificent musicians, throughout the years of your elegance and masterpieces of work on behalf of the commissioner to the Denver public library, we had ventured to hold such worth of value. Spending one million dollars of the year of 1995 On the public structure that we know today in the Denver metro area called the Denver public library. We decided to construct another building across the street eighteen years later. The supreme court of appeals was constructed of the building size to be the same but an astonishing increase of value had cost close six hundred million dollars. In a world that lost all value, please.Know, but I still hold great value to those who defend the wild horses that are truly priceless today.Thank you for the commission masterpiece Wild horses
When Mick's in the studio or merely rehearsing he drops the stage persona antics and vocalizations and really digs into the songs with such impressive feeling.
Yes, they're the world's greatest rock and roll band, but you won't hear them sound better than they do here. Just amazing. Mick's so good here. The whole band is, but Mick is just jaw droppingly good.

This is a beautiful and perfect version of this song. Thanh you very much. 😢
Best version , after all there years Mick stiill acts it out emotionally and Keith's harmony fills the whole room.
Love this tune. Thanks for the memories it brings
Will ALWAYS be one of my favorites, the song and the band! Never gets old…
LOL, if they are anything they are old!!
Lots of love 💕 after 59 years..My mom l listen to all your songs before she died when I was 6 months
Better
These guys really needed to hang it up when M.T. left. I saw them in person THEN. I would not want to see them now. Crusty shit.
Are you from Mass?
@Jimbotime60 Are you from Mass?
Wild horses! Sticky fingers! My absolute favorite stones album and the blues ! Ludes went quite well with this album
65 now.....still having tears....2024
Same, we were so blessed with great soulful music back then, Beatles, Pink Floyd, CCR, Led Zeppelin etc etc and some of the very best Black music.
Thank you Charlie Watts for the countless rhythmic drumming you created together with your band mates.
Your beats lives with us for the rest of our lives, and till we meet again, may God makes you our drummer in Heaven.
RIP Sir.
For me, this is the best version of the song. Keith and Ronnie guitars
fill in is subtle and beautiful.
Perfect post, congrats.
I had to listen to this Stones' version of it again, to quell that horrible sound in my head, of art being nailed to the cross of commerce.
lol.
I believe this song was actually written by Keith and Gram Parsons together!, could be wrong but think I read that somewhere.
Eddie Black Don't know if you read Keith's great book, but this song definitely came from that period.
Love Keith's playing in this. That lick/fill he does at 0:44 is just perfect. A lot to be said about things played simply, yet absolutely perfectly.
THINGS PLAYED SIMPLY - THATs what it's all about - in ANY genre. GOD BLESS STONES
Keith is a master at filling in at all guitar playin...
No so sure that's Keith.
Yeah man I was thinking exactly the same thing !! And IT IS Keith playing !!
Antonio Viale Keith was playing mostly chords on what sounds like a 12 string. The fill, if I'm thinking of the same one referenced, sound like a 6 string. Ronnie was the one adding the fills.
RIP Charlie, you will be surely missed. I've been listening to the Rolling Stones since the 60's. I love them all dearly.
I'm here too,54 and the Rolling Stones are the
soundtrack to my life!!
Bro, I'm 71 and been always late to college in the morning bc was listening Sticky Fingers. Hats off to Mick Taylor and the rest of the band. Sad Charlie Watts not with us. Time is relentless. But, yeah, we are still here, my friend, together having fun :))
I could say the same thing, and I'm 70. It was so cool to grow up with the stones. They definitely help define the mid to late sixties.
Fifty four As well and you said it the rolling stowe're what we rolled stoned two
...it said stones are.
auto correct AI shows why i am not scared it'll take over...
can't even write 1 sentence without fn it up
Yes this will go down in rock history as a seminal recording. Thanks to the Rolling Stones and their music!
This is why they will always be the GREATEST band ever!! 😎
Por siempre.
When Mick's in the studio or merely rehearsing he drops the stage persona antics and vocalizations and really digs into the songs with such impressive feeling.
It's ecstasy
You verbalized that so well it actually transported me there in the studio to enjoy that mesmerizing experience. That would make anyone's day.
My name is Esther. I was in Franklin Village Reformatory School with my mixed niece
So good just so good yes
So good just so good yes
This has been my husband and mine song since we meet in 2007 and still so much in love with either .
No words can do this justice.
One of my favorite Stones songs - Beautiful.
Hi Linda
Yes, they're the world's greatest rock and roll band, but you won't hear them sound better than they do here. Just amazing. Mick's so good here. The whole band is, but Mick is just jaw droppingly good.
Yes sir
There will never be a band better than them in hundreds of years
@@susanpritchard6164 So agree.
@susanpritchard
I agree with you 💯 and I love so many bands . I thank God I was able to see them in their prime and this most beautiful of songs was definitely a gem.
It was a favorite when I was three ( sister is 12 years older and a stones fan) Still at 57, one of my favorite songs. My husband knows how much I love this...............if one of us is upset or stressed we play this................it is an emotional bandaid. It makes me happy hearing it....I have heard it so, so many times. It just doesn't wear out. I know it never will. It is just a stunner of a song.............I have lived through many stunning songs.
@Susan Hess...your words hit home and yes it is "an emotional bandaid" well said young lady.
What a beautiful rendition of wild horses,Blessed to have seen and heard this ,never saw this before .God Bless.
Keith's guitar playing and backing vocals are sentational
Yes!
both pre-recorded
Yes and yes. Keith has more power in those simple strokes than the popular fanboy speed guitarists could ever hope to have.
