Thank you so much Devyn for filling in for Dani while she is on maternity leave! Make sure you follow her on instagram @diningwithdevyn! Also wanted to add that the Fire sauce is now actually vegan and certified vegan on the Taco Bell website! Woo hoo!
7 layer burrito hmm is it really vegan?? No sour cream ? So you have the tortilla, Beans and what else is in it? You said no meat and no cheese but with potatoes.
Taco Bell is my favorite fast food restaurant. Big tip for vegans: ORDER USING THE TACO BELL APP! That way, you can easily take off or add any ingredients from the huge list of options. You can order on the app ahead of time and pick it up in the drive through. DO IT!
If you get the double decker taco, TB will change the meat for the black beans and then give you guacamole instead of the refried beans with no charge for either change and it is SO GOOD.
I worked at taco Bell for a few years. The cinnamon twists are deff pasta. They explode like that in the fryer! I've made litterally millions of them lol
I work at Taco Bell and I’m 100% vegan! I literally order the 7 layer burrito without chz and sour cream almost everyday lol (so not healthy) but I’ve never tried it with potato bites in it! Ill definitely be trying that on a day that I’m feeling slightly less healthy lol
Okay..No. you might “eat vegan” but you aren’t vegan at heart if your still making meat burritos and standing up for people buying these products. A true vegan wouldn’t even touch animal flesh or allow themselves to make it for someone to eat. Hypocrisy.
Samantha Sternbach That isn't very encouraging or a good representation of the vegan community. Lots of vegans work in food service and are required to handle meat on a regular basis, including Nikki. The entire point of this channel is to not down on other vegans or be the vegan police, but to create a community. If you think that you're the only "true" or "perfect" vegan, then you've already given up on the idea of community and I don't know why you're here.
Alisha Harris I definitely agree with you! We all have to make a living and the meaning of “veganism” isn’t to never have anything to do with any animal products ever. It’s doing what you can to eliminate animal exploitation and cruelty. In my eyes, I’m doing what I can to live and thrive on a vegan diet. If there happens to be a better job come along, I would happily take it but I’m not going to quit my job just because I’m vegan. Taco Bell obviously has a ton of vegan options and I can always pick out the customers who are vegan and it’s really fun and exciting for me to get to talk to other vegans in my area. All of that to say, thanks for sticking up for me and everyone who gets attacked by the vegan police. 😎😊
Your still giving your money and supporting a establishment that serves meat. So your money is still going to the mass production of slaughter to these wonderful creatures.
Not to be rude or anything but if I were blind folded I would think its 1 person talking throught out the whole video, lol you guys sound the same, Nice food review by the way.
I'm vegan, but unfortunately, I'm gluten-sensitive, so I can't eat most of these things because of the flour tortilla(s). So if you're also a gluten-free vegan, my go to is a Veggie Power Bowl fresco style. It's seasoned rice, black beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, and guacamole. Of course, you could add other things like potatoes, or other vegan ingredients they offer. Normally, it also comes with sour cream, cheese, and avocado ranch. So if I'm heading home, I like to add vegan ranch, vegan sour cream, and vegan cheese. It's honestly delicious! Also, pro tip: if you're ordering something that normally comes with cheese/sour cream, substitute guacamole. That way you still get the creamy texture and savory flavor.
I worked at T Bell for a couple years during college and I've made my fair share on cinnamon twists lol It's literally deep fried pasta with cinnamon and sugar. That's literally it.
I love that they mentioned Supreme Banana! I love Taco Bell their vegan options are amazing! And I typically just use their app and everything always comes out perfect!
Vegan Taco Bell is my fav ever. Try veggie cantina power bowl No cheese No ranch No sour cream Add potatoes Add salsa. Add red sauce. If you are really feeling fat ask for a side of chips. And use those as your spoon
You guys should do like a monthly wine down wednesday video where you drink vegan wines and talk about life topics and such!! I love watching your videos always crack up!! Love you girls!!
I used to love veganizing Taco Bell but the one near me started getting my food wrong and giving me ground beef instead of black beans or sprinkling cheese. The last two times I ate there I got very sick, bad chest pains for days after each visit so I have stopped eating there and will make taco's at home when I have a hankering. The Beyond crumbles, the tofutti sour cream, Daiya cheese on top and my homemade taco seasoning mix is a win every time.
I wouldn't mind watching these videos if there was more debating and less agreeing with each other. Is there any topic in which you guys disagree? Most vegans disagree with each other on different topics. As much as I like this idea for a vegan show, the view on TV had a lot of debates, and I always like to see different perspectives and explanations.
While I watched this very informative video (I really mean that because I often get stumped on what to order at Taco Bell for real), I was eating something that I made at home but it reminded me SO MUCH of Taco Bell. I basically mixed a few rinsed and drained black beans, some frozen corn and some gardein "Beef" crumbles in a pan with a little water and Mexican spices and heated that up. And then I heated up a flour tortilla, added some fresh spinach first, then bean/"meat"/corn mixture and a little Daiya Cheddar on top of that. Cooked it like a quesadilla and then ate it with salsa. You could also add avocado. It is seriously AMAZING. I totally get fast food being necessary at times, but if you are looking for the Taco Bell vibe and taste, this is a good option as well.
I remember 17 yrs ago I would get vegetarian tacos and they always knew me when I came in the drive thru bc they said I was the only person to order tacos without meat. They didn't have as many options then and it wasnt as good as it is now
Yeah, saying "fresco" has never worked for me. One time, they even added some mayo-based sauce that wasn't even on the original item. Itemizing produces way better results. And check your order before leaving the drive-thru! Sprinkling cheese is so habitual for their employees that they often add it without thinking. Thanks for the video!
my daughter loves taco bell, she thinks brand names are cool (I dont lol) so she likes having all the fast food names and packaging, since normally we cook everything from scratch. its a nice treat and easy to find on a road trip, for lunch at work etc. even diablo isnt spicy agreed! if at all possible in most cities people should still choose a vegan place to support instead , using happycow or yelp to search for vegan/veg restaurants. that way money does not go into factory farming via Yum Foods/ Taco Bell
All of the Taco Bells in western WA never screw up when I say fresco. No cheese, sour cream or avocado sauce will be added. They know that means NO DAIRY and add pico. I love adding rice to the Mexican pizza! I also like the veggie power burrito done fresco and I love the taco salad! I replace the meat with black beans, get it fresco for the pico and I ask for extra lettuce. And when I was a kid I would dig potatoes right out of the garden, wash them off and eat them raw with some salt sprinkled on. My dad taught me that.
my go to order is the 7 layer burrito (ordered the same way you guys did) and a bean burrito with no cheese. Sometimes I'll switch it up and get the veganized crunchwrap :p
Can you guys talk about bugs? I struggle with the topic and if you could go into like your opinions on like “pest infestations” and how you would handle it that would be great
Claire Dillon do you mean killing them, like in your home, or pesticides used on food, or eating them when they're on your produce, or something else...?
Ever since I saw Dani's video about how to eat vegan at Taco Bell, I always order the 7-Layer Burrito. Substitute black beans for beans, add potatoes, add guacamole, and red sauce. So good!
This was so helpful! I have been wondering what to order on my upcoming road trip and where to eat. I will be driving for three days. You just gave me a big part of the solution. Thank you and thank you for being specific on your orders.
In my area, they took the black bean and cilantro rice burrito off the menu, but they still have all of the components. So I frequently order a burrito with black beans, rice and guac. I don't know if the rice is cilantro rice anymore. My 4 year old loves it too, as does my Dad, but my husband has flatulent issues with black beans so he gets regular pintos. Although, he orders cheese on his because he's non-vegan. My daughter always asked for the cinnamon twists ever since Grammy S gave her them. I'll have to try the beans chalupa.
The taco bell cinnamon twists are actually mexican duro wheat twists that puff when they fry. They are kind of orange and see through hard pellets that puff with heat. They puff in the microwave as well. It's not pasta. But kinda in a way.
I guess some people are just different with their allergies. I carry my benedryl and epi pen with me everywhere since I am allergic to dairy. Eating at places like Taco Bell where cross contamination is possible is always a risk. The need to get a manager involved has never crossed my mind,I’ve always just made sure to order correctly. If you are truly allergic I hope you carry those two medications with you.
I just had Taco Bell for the first time as a vegan last night and OMG!!!!! I had the crunch wrap with rice added and the red sauce to dip it in. I'm hooked now! Their black beans are so good too! I've been missing out! Great video ladies!
Our standard order is Cheesey bean and rice burrito, FRESCA STYLE, add black beans, potatoes, and onions. Grill extra crispy and extra pico please :) SOOOOOO good and super filling :) Our Taco Bell rocks, manager insists all employees know what Fresca means. We have never had a mistake :)
MaintainingMichele mommy tang did a great explanation about how to order and the staff seemed great, and then she did a mukbang with the order - it was the first time I heard of fresca style and potatoes in burritos (but I've never once been to a taco bell) th-cam.com/video/5-j1exTwhOY/w-d-xo.html
my local taco bell would give me attitude for days if i ordered that. theyre just simple country folk haha, they have major issues even when i say no cheese or sour cream. youre lucky to have a smart taco team
These look super yummy! My go to is the cheezy bean and rice burrito, fresco style add guacamole and fries/potatoes. I also like adding the red sauce. Its amazing!!!
Love that you guys are sharing to help people eat right! Taco bell puts grinded up bones in their beef and as long as the the bones are small enough to fit through a gradder of holes that the f.d.a. allows then it is allowed by regulations!
We've been doing 7 layer burrito minus cheese and sour cream for years. I never thought of adding an ingredient to it. Adding potato sounds so yummy! Definitely trying that next time! Thanks! :)
I recommend ordering through the app because you can make all the changes yourself! Instead of relying on the cashier who might mess up if you are adding/subtracting a lot of things
Hannah! I am with you and I am def going to try that tostada next time I am at Taco Bell - fulfilling my fast yet healthy dinner options 💗 that Mexican pizza too!! Need to try that
My son loves the chalupa with potatoes, lettuce and onions. We all get the 7 layer like you did, but we get guacamole on the side to use as "sour cream" kinda
My wife and I eat at Taco Bell all the time. We get Fresco style Bean Burritos all the time. We can both eat for under $5 with the senior discount. Enjoying your video.
for the new year i’ve decided that i want to make my transition from being vegetarian to being vegan. i went vegetarian 2 years ago for new years as well, so i thought it’s been long overdue to make that step. taco bell is my favorite guilty pleasure, and i’m really going to miss those quesadillas and nachos... but i’m excited to make healthier versions on my own, and use these orders when i’m feeling not so healthy 😂👌🏼 also an idea you could mix the mild and diablo sauce together to make a “hot” sauce. just a suggestion!
Oh I love Taco Bell. My favorites are the Fritos Burito, sub beans, no cheese. (yes, fritos are vegan). Soft Potato taco, fresco style. + the fries are vegan, but ask for no cheese sauce, they should be coming back at some point this summer.
omg the noodle is a cooked rice noodle :) Its so random, i just went to the hong kong market and so happened to get cork screw rice noodles. its totally the cinnamon twist! i imagine if you fry it after its cooked it is IDENTICAL.
1. I cannot believe Fire sauce isn't vegan, I've been eating it on my taco bell this whole time!!!! So upset but happy to know so I cna correct that. 2. If you're on a budget, the $1 tostadas are the way to go. Just order without cheese and chipotle and add your choice of sauce (NOT FIRE). I usually find 2 to be satisfactory. And they come with pico de gallo!! They will satisfy hunger without leaving you feeling sick or gross afterwards.
I’m a vegan JUNKIE, so the chalupa is my all time fave. That fried shell is AMAZING! Also, when I order off the app I change my name to “NO DAIRY” and haven’t had a problem with them adding cheese and sour cream to my order (plus it makes them laugh a little so it’s a win win😂)
I almost always find bits of cheese in the fresco when I get soft tacos sub black beans. I even tell them I have an allergy and to open a new fresco if it's contaminated, but that only works some times.
How do you know if the ingredients arent cross contaminated? Wouldnt they have to clean the surface and change gloves too? Ive always wondered that bc i love ordering from taco bell sometimes. I never get lettuce bc there are always tiny bits of cheese in it and i dont get salsa for the same reason.
If you are allergic to tomatoes & peanuts, and can't have anything acidic, it really cuts down on foods you can enjoy. Do you ladies have any suggestions?
I just checked the website and red strips are vegan, even dyed with beets :) btw Hannah, I LOVE the taco salad and I converted my whole circle to love it too
It's interesting you've had a bad experience with "fresco" because I feel like everything I've ordered fresco has turned out perfectly! The pico de gallo at Taco Bell is so so good
The Chalupa and stuff like it you guys only put beans on it but what you need to do is make it fresco style which means no dairy and it adds some pico de Gallo And then you need to add guacamole
Could you guys do a video on fairly indulgent *feeling* snacks that are actually healthy? My husband and I always have a snack (or 2) when we put the kids to bed. We know carrots and hummus are great, but we need something that feels a bit sassier like the Ben&Jerrys we’ve been frequenting as of late hahaha
The Taco Bells in my town have never stocked that variety. In fact, for the past few years, only stock the "Fire" variety (which I hear is NOT vegan?).
My go to is also the 7-layer burrito and I get it like you ordered, except I also add pico de gallo and jalapeños (but I don't like lettuce, unfortunately, unlike you guys, so I don't get that).
Mmm now I want Taco Bell! I’m always scared to order anything that has meat in it...for fear that they will accidentally put it in there. So far my favorite things to order are the seven layer burrito (no cheese or sour cream), and I add potatoes on the side. (Make sure to ask for fiesta potatoes with no cheese or sour cream) I also love getting a bean burrito (sub black beans and add guacamole) last time they added rice to it and it was sooo good! Now I think I will get the Taco Bell app and order from there. I’m excited to try all their options! Maybe it will be easier than ordering through the drive through. Oh and by the way I love your “cheers” lol it’s so cute. If you like it...keep doing it :) it doesn’t matter what others think. You look so happy and excited to try the food as a group.
Kristin Harmon yes!so much flavor!!! :) I know it's not completely vegan as is,but u can customize it to be that way.i get it the regular way though, because I'm slowly transitioning my diet from being a carnivore to being a vegetarian.im a work in progress :)
I get the triple layer nacho off the value menu. I get no cheese, add guacamole and lettuce. It's so good and filling for basically a dollar. Sometimes I get pico too. Alwaaayyys get your pico de gallo on the side though! It usually has cheese in it on accident, unfortunately. If you get it on the side it wont ruin your whole dish and you can pick pieces out of it or even ask for a new one this way without wasting your food. Also, I sometimes get the chalupa sub beans instead of meat and add guacamole instead of sour cream and no cheese of course. OR on the cheap side I get a regular bean burrito with no cheese & extra onions. They are less likely to eff this up too. I prefer this over the 7-layer bc it's cheaper and I like the red sauce a lot. Its classic taco bell to me. I add potato and guac to it if I'm really hungry and feeling fancy. Lmao.
Thank you so much Devyn for filling in for Dani while she is on maternity leave! Make sure you follow her on instagram @diningwithdevyn! Also wanted to add that the Fire sauce is now actually vegan and certified vegan on the Taco Bell website! Woo hoo!
The Vegan View the chalupa bread here in Texas contains milk. Are you sure that your chalupa is vegan?
7 layer burrito hmm is it really vegan?? No sour cream ? So you have the tortilla, Beans and what else is in it? You said no meat and no cheese but with potatoes.
The Vegan View I love your show, just discovered you guys recently. Keep the tips coming
Rob G Seven Layer burrito is: beans, rice, lettuce and tomatoes, cheese, sour cream guacamole, if you remove the sour cream and cheese, it's vegan
My advice is to order on the Taco Bell app. They rarely get it wrong that way and you can see all your options.
Deborah Robles I always use the app bc anytime I don't it is wrong
Great tip!! Thank you!
I do the same for Starbucks!
Deborah Robles Taco Bell has an app!!! Wow I’ve must have been living under a rock or something lol
Thanks for the suggestion! I just downloaded and you can even save your favorite when reordering.
Taco Bell is my favorite fast food restaurant. Big tip for vegans: ORDER USING THE TACO BELL APP! That way, you can easily take off or add any ingredients from the huge list of options. You can order on the app ahead of time and pick it up in the drive through. DO IT!
Thank you for the tip!! Definitely trying this next time :)
Junk food vegans REPRESENT!!!!
Celeste Kristan 🙌🙌🙌
Celeste Kristan right? So many of us take ourselves so seriously. Oil free everything!!! This was totally refreshing
Yerrrrr
Here here👋🏾👋🏾
SPICY.POTATO.SOFT.TACO. Add red sauce. Fresco style. You’re welcome.
THANK YOUUUUU
If you get the double decker taco, TB will change the meat for the black beans and then give you guacamole instead of the refried beans with no charge for either change and it is SO GOOD.
Amanda Jean-Marie that’s awesome! Great tip
Yummmm
I worked at taco Bell for a few years. The cinnamon twists are deff pasta. They explode like that in the fryer! I've made litterally millions of them lol

I can not blame you for eating that burrito daily! It is so delicious!!

Cinnamon twists are made out of pasta. My husband is a former Taco Bell manager and confirmed that they are made by frying fusilli.
Hahahaha
Woah! Makes sense
No they aren’t. They look like them to the naked eye but they aren’t.
You can believe me or not. That's what they are made out of. Or at least they were when he worked for TB
Not to be rude or anything but if I were blind folded I would think its 1 person talking throught out the whole video, lol you guys sound the same, Nice food review by the way.
samee
How is that rude though?
Quit being insecure

Add salsa.
Add red sauce.

Erica Reid try Gardeins crumbles instead of Beyond, they're delicious
On the Taco Bell website it says the fire sauce is certified vegan! I wonder if they changed it recently??
skymoon yes it was changed around May 2018 :D thank god Fire Sauce is the best one!
I get the veggie power bowl with potatoes omg the best
Katrina Hamilton the potatoes 🤗🤗🤗 so good

Casey Moore yeah her video is great! Love that vegan fast food series she did 💚
would love to see a Whole Foods brand taste test!! they have so much vegan frozen food it’s so great i’m trying the pad see ew for dinner tonight!
Who else came here after the Jubilee hidden vegan video and the Taco Bell vegan controversy lol
revaholic I did lol, I couldn’t stand Erin she was such a bitch
This is how drunk girls talk when they’re together for brunch 😂.
OMG and they put it in the description YESSS. The crunchwrap is soooo goood, the only veg option I've had there! :)
Steven Merlino the crunch wrap is my fav!

Welcome to Devyn. I love this show and I love Taco Bell so thank you to all of you for sharing how fast food can still easily be part of a vegan diet.

My wife and I eat at Taco Bell all the time. We get Fresco style Bean Burritos all the time. We can both eat for under $5 with the senior discount. Enjoying your video.
XXL grilled stuft burrito: sub beans for meat and fresco style. HUGE burrito with beans, guacamole, rice, and pico.
for the new year i’ve decided that i want to make my transition from being vegetarian to being vegan. i went vegetarian 2 years ago for new years as well, so i thought it’s been long overdue to make that step. taco bell is my favorite guilty pleasure, and i’m really going to miss those quesadillas and nachos... but i’m excited to make healthier versions on my own, and use these orders when i’m feeling not so healthy 😂👌🏼
also an idea you could mix the mild and diablo sauce together to make a “hot” sauce. just a suggestion!
The bowl is definitely a 10. When made correctly . That didn't have that much in it. I get everything vegan on the menu in it minus onions
M Taylor dang I’ll have to try it again!!
But without the oniony guacamole and with the onion pico di Gallo and no cheese and no sour cream. . .is it just beans, rice, and lettuce?
just beans rice lettuce and tomatoes if you dont add anything.
Oh I love Taco Bell. My favorites are the Fritos Burito, sub beans, no cheese. (yes, fritos are vegan). Soft Potato taco, fresco style. + the fries are vegan, but ask for no cheese sauce, they should be coming back at some point this summer.
AMONAVIS! Add ez jalapeños to your Fritos burrito. It will change your life.
You can actually sub the cheese sauce with the fries for guacamole at no extra charge!!
The nacho fries aren't vegan... They have beef flavoring
Fire sauce is definitely vegan. Just checked the ingredients on the bottle they sell at our local grocery store. It's my favorite!!
omg the noodle is a cooked rice noodle :) Its so random, i just went to the hong kong market and so happened to get cork screw rice noodles. its totally the cinnamon twist! i imagine if you fry it after its cooked it is IDENTICAL.
this is so helpful, thank you for sharing and adding in the ingredients in the description bar!
Paige Hall check the site, it's certified vegan. You can email to see if its changed and hasn't been updated
It use to not be but has recently been changed to be vegan. You can eat it :)
So sad to see Taco Bell removed the 5 layer burrito and potato taco from their menu. They were two of my favorites.
Nooooo!!
Such a bummer
@@TheVeganView apparently they changed their menu. Pls do another vegan Taco Bell video.
Sister I’m here to tell you that the potatoes are BAACKKKK
When I got over the flu in January vegan Taco Bell was all I wanted! mmm
My local Taco Bell is great with ordering "fresco style". They even added it to the menu explaining what ordering fresco style means.
I just checked the website and red strips are vegan, even dyed with beets :) btw Hannah, I LOVE the taco salad and I converted my whole circle to love it too
Hi everyone! Just need one clarification on the way you ordered: When you subbed "beans", was it their black "beans" or the refried "beans"?
Hanna & Devyn are pretty thanks for tell us about the vegan options at Taco Bell
It's interesting you've had a bad experience with "fresco" because I feel like everything I've ordered fresco has turned out perfectly! The pico de gallo at Taco Bell is so so good
Crunch wrap with beans, guacamole, pico, lettuce, tomato and hot sauce is bomb
The Chalupa and stuff like it you guys only put beans on it but what you need to do is make it fresco style which means no dairy and it adds some pico de Gallo And then you need to add guacamole
Yes! In the description we said we recommend adding potatos and guacamole, but the pico would be amaaazing as well. :)
Hannah Hagler I added this comment before I saw any of that but want to leave it just in case lol
Whenever I’ve ordered anything “fresco”, they’ve always made it right for me. 🌮🌯👍
I believe the cinnamon twist being pasta. A staple Mexican snacks are duros which look like pasta before being deep fried.
My go to is the bean burrito; no cheese and make it fresco. with the mild sauce on top. YUM!
You can make any item fresco and it substitutes all the dairy to pico de gallo
Wait! Do you go home and add potatoes or can you ask Taco bell to add potatoes? Thanks for the great informative video!!
Diablo Sauce is the best ❤️
The Taco Bells in my town have never stocked that variety. In fact, for the past few years, only stock the "Fire" variety (which I hear is NOT vegan?).
Reverend Eslam fire sauce is made from chickens that were lit on fire
You are forgetting the free upgrade "fresco style" you sub dairy for their version of pico de gallo.
To discover more about allergies, Rotten is a great resource. The peanut episode
TheSUPERHAPPY1 incredible.
TheSUPERHAPPY1 True!
My go to is also the 7-layer burrito and I get it like you ordered, except I also add pico de gallo and jalapeños (but I don't like lettuce, unfortunately, unlike you guys, so I don't get that).
That pico de gallo was so good! I bet it's amazing in the burrito!
Thank you so much. Taco Bell is the only fast food I eat so this is great information.
Linda Rosenthal so glad it’s helpful! 💗
Border Sauce - Fire
Tomato puree (tomato paste, water), jalapeno peppers, vinegar, modified food starch, chili powder, minced onion, onion juice, spices, natural flavors (contains wheat and soy), xanthan gum, salt, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate (P), garlic powder, paprika (VC). Contains: Wheat, Soy [certified vegan]
Yes we pinned a comment! See above.
Just a heads up that they also offer black beans so I'll sub out the meat and pinto for black 😁
Hey guys!! I love Nicole’s sweatshirt. Do y’all know where I could find one? thanks :)
I get the mexican pizza how you guys got it but with guac on it and it is so good!
Yessss with guacamole I bet it is perfection! Getting that next time for sure.
YUM!
Hannah girl... I am with you! Taco Salad from the Bell is my go to "I forgot to pack my lunch for work" meal!
Good video, but are the fries vegan if they're plain?
The chalupa is amazing with black beans
Diablo sauce is life! Thank you for appreciating it, Nisha!
Agreed! So good!
Obsessed with Taco Bell so so so much love. I love the ease and the prices and it tastes so good seriously dang.
wait you guys ate those with sauces? idk if im wrong or not but i thought vinegar wasnt vegan 😕
The Taco Bell App is amazing at amazing at customizing your order. I love it. I have never had a problem. Mobile ordering rocks.
Devyn even sounds like Dani! ❤
the vegan view is the one thing to look forward to on mondays🙌🏻
Thank you!!!
Their veggie power bowl is A-MA-ZING!!! :)
Jess Brown I ordered that last night and it was so good.
Lmao.
