_Actually it is:_ Akainu is *hot* headed & *cold* hearted Aokiji is *cool* headed & *warm* hearted Kizaru is *slow* headed (zooted) & " *fast* hearted" Regarding the "fast hearted", it is because of the fluctuations in his feelings...he is a very spontaneous guy; look at how he trolled/played with the Supernovas at Sabaody
He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster . . . when you gaze long into the abyss the abyss also gazes into you
It's important to remember that Akainu's enemies are pirates. Most pirates are not kind like the Straw Hats, or protective like Whitebeard. Most pirates are like Blackbeard. They lie, cheat, steal, and backstab. As Hannyabal reminds us in Impel Down, the civilians of the world live in fear of pirates. If the scholars of Ohara revealed the truth of the World Government, the system collapses, which means everyone is left to fend for themselves against pirates. If pirates are allowed to escape the war, they might cause more harm then ever by revealing the underhanded tactics the marines used, causing the public to lose faith. If a single man is allowed to abandon his post, he could spread information to pirates. He could make the marines look lazy, causing people to lose hope and give in to the demands of pirates for fear that no one will save them and that it's a hopeless struggle. Maintaining the strong image of the marines, and faith in the government, is vitally important to holding back the threat of piracy. If the World Government fell, and pirates roamed free, what would someone like Blackbeard do? He would behave exactly as the world nobles do. He would force everyone to worship and obey him. He would kill and enslave anyone he sees on a whim. The Gorosei, at the very least, allow the marines to exist and fight pirates. They allow a system where someone is fighting for civilians. We don't know yet whether Akainu takes this into account. But any marine who does think this way would be justified in carrying out the same actions he does.
there is always exception to the rule and if you can't admit then you fail as a leader or authority ... this is the failing of akainu ..he is so wrapped up in his own ideology that he can't diffrenciate between the good and bad ... I am always up for a gung ho justice guy but what akainu is doing is not justice per se it's forcing his ideals which is plain old facism ..I know that word has lost its meaning as everything is facist these days but I will anyday be up for oda to write a great reason for akainu to be the way he is but I don't see him doing that because it just breaks one of the best written characters he has in his Arsenal ...cuz as much as I don't like akainu as a marine or person. ..I can acknowledge that he's a really well written character and he's a need for one piece to work ... giving him a sappy backstory will just sully it .... he's a foil to garp or dragon so I don't want him to be made a likable character... sometimes you just have a person who is bad for no reason ..also I agree with your point on a larger scale that akainu is neccasary is something I can totally agree with you
@@naturallyweird661 oh, so you think that garp is a good person or pirate king roger is a good person? Wow, they are evil too, garp and roger protected celestial dragons and their slaves at godvalley and here you are saying that garp is a good person🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽
@@kingxanime8603 They didn't protect them to save the celestial dragons but their slaves. And the Rocks pirates would have been even worse than the world government. Roger and Garp never made a move to save the celestial dragons. It was just a byproduct of taking down Rocks and his crew, which would be like Blackbeard being in control of the world, which would be the worst-case scenario. We can see even Garp never accepted the admiral position even when asked multiple times. He didn't want to be directly commanded by the celestial dragons because he despised them.
As a reserve army sergeant i have to inform you and everyone else here, that executing deserters on the spot is the obligation of the superior in rank, according to the martial law.
Lol, yeah sure. I’d love to know what army you’re talking about that gives its superiors the same indiscriminate powers as 40k commissars, but the biggest military in the world only executed one deserter after 1865, and that was a decision of the military court, so I’m doubting this is the case for very many other countries.
I'm glad that you mentioned that Akainu's sense of absolute justice stems from his own sense of what justice means. As a Criminal Justice major, I can certainly say that absolute justice does *_not_* entail killing innocent civilians or sacrificing others who work for the law or justice for the sake of justice. This notion that absolute justice entails such excessive force needs because a few people kill or sacrifice innocents in its name needs to stop. I believe that you have done a great job in this video explaining both Akainu's character and what absolute justice actually means 💯👍. Keep it up!
@person person That justice twisted into pure villainy when the Ohara incident happened. Or maybe he had committed other crimes before that but the Ohara incident is the first one we see.
@@noisemarine561 he isn't a villain, he is a antagonist. Antagonists are characterized by simple opposition. An antagonist is not necessarily evil, he merely has opposing actions, thoughts, motives, etc. None of the Marines are villains.
@@yonkobuster112 my guy , you have him as a profile pick , of course you are defending him . He is a villain . He killed innocent people more than once and never showed a hint of regret , all this while he stands by slave owners .
I just want to say that Akainu came to Marineford to win a war...and he won the damn war. He didn't turn everything into magma like he did in his duel with Aokiji. Don't underestimate him, especially when he is responsible for all four of Whitebeard's worst wounds.
Paramount War ended in a draw if you want to make the claim that the Marines won which they didn’t fully win because the meaningless war between the White Beard Pirates is what led to a massive power vacuum that the Strawhat Pirates and the Revolutionaries are left cleaning up; all of those innocent men, women, and children died for nothing in the Paramount War because there’s a bigger spree of Pirates than there ever was before, and as Sengoku pointed out in the Post-Timeskip Era Piracy didn’t die off for good after declaring war on the White Beard Pirates.
@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr ...you seem to think they were surprised that killing Whitebeard created a power gap in the New World. Can't imagine why. Whether the war was a good idea or not is irrelevant to who won it. The marines were victorious but it didn't do them any good. That's mainly because of Blackbeard. And ending the pirate era was never on the table.
@@Name-me5su , even if there weren’t plot contrivances and plot armor in the story at all the Marines themselves would have still caused a power vacuum to occur after massacring the White Beard Pirates because Jinbe, Dragon, Sengoku, and Luffy all points out many many times in the story already that the power vacuum isn’t caused by the Pirates themselves, but it’s because of the Marines incompetence and them being lawfully evil.
To be completely honest, the first time we saw Sakazuki in the flashback of Ohara, I was intrigued by His Sense of Justice and wanted to learn more about him. Well then came Marineford where i hated him but Just Like garp He Had to do His Work, with a rational way of thinking who knew when to Strike the enemy. I mean the Moment He killed Ace made me hate him for killing Off a beloved character. But in all honestly He was only doing was had to be done. Like you can See His good Side actually when He talked with Sen gok in one of the latest chapters, as an enemy of the Pirates He seems evil but He is levelheadet and a good Charakter.
@Kruv Mezulari indeed, sengoku should have play much more roles in that war, he got conqueror haki yet he didnt even use it in that war, kinda stupid as a fleet admiral if you ask me
I started noticing that too, and I think it's why Sakazuki is a little like Garp, but when Garp found out was the Marines and WG do he decided to stay as a Vice Admiral because it was a high position that have him freedom. The admirals have to deal with the WG so maybe Sakazuki thought he could change that, probably thought Sengoku wasn't trying as hard to change anything.
@LUIS ALBERTO ARENAS ARAYA so you mean justice is to follow the rules made by the government and if not should be killed what akainu did on ohara was no justice what was the mistake of those archaeologists that they wanted to learn truth about the world history and what was the mistake ohara people that the mighty hero of justice assume there was an archaeologist in the ship and what was ace mistake that he was the son of roger who stood against a corrupted government you say if there were more akainu in real world the world will have less crime people who justify this kind of act and give it an label of justice are no different than the terrorist who kill innocent people in the name of god and justice just because someone wears the color of law it doesn't justify he has the right to do anything let it be in anime or real world if you even kill 1 innocent man in order to kill 100 evil then you should add yourself in that list and here this guy killed thousands of innocent people thinking that maybe a archaeologists is in the ship shame on those who love things such as this....people who love this have no right to curse criminals or corrupted people because they are the same......
as a lawyer i study "justice", and i can say that the fact of him support the WG, warlords or slavery it's not "paradoxal" with the idea of "absolute justice" at all. in this (fascist) philosophy, he is absoltelly following the rules. the rules allow the warlords and slavery. he see the world as a "natural hierarchy": there are thoso born to rule and thoso who born to follow. pirates will have sons that will be followers, nobles will have sons that will be rullers. he didn't question this. and if slaves born in situations that allow them be slaves, so this are the rules, so it's ok.
The first 3 minutes already got me super invested in the video, what an amazing opening, not only you show off your amazing writing skills, you show how good Oda’s world and character building is. ❤️❤️❤️
I think the reason why akainu would have finished one piece in months(said by oda himself) is cause he is so relentless and so obsessive blindly motivated. He would stop at nothing to reach the goal and will probably even sacrifice his own crew mates to achieve it and he will definitely not stop at islands to help the people out😂 Cause thats how he is. He has only one goal and he makes damn sure he gets it.
@@ariqueinnutshell2612 but to point it out, it's been about 2 years and 8 or 9 months since luffy sailed out, from which 2 years were spent on getting stronger, if we follow the time luffy spends on the islands he visits in every arc, he only spends 2 or 3 days at maximum. Wano being an exception. So I think that luffy would also achieve his goal in about 1.5 years of sailing in seas which doesn't include the time skip.
I recently watched again One Piece and understood Akainu better this time. The moment he participated in that genocide he became enchained by that act. If he changes his mind and stops acting how he acts it will mean all the people killed by him died in vain. And the count of people has grown over the years, that's why he has to go 'til the end with the choice he made. He can't go back. Probably, unless somebody strikes him with the ideas he refuses to aknowledge and shakes his sense of justice, forcing him to finally take responsability of his actions. I also think his concept of absolute justice is long term based. As mentioned, he is meticulous with his procedures and takes the most efficient approach in order to achieve his goals. That means he can work with the Shichibukai without breaking his ideals because he doesn't feel like it's the time to get rid of them yet. He doesn't just want justice, he wants the World Government to be preserved, he wants to cleanse the world from what he thinks is bad for them (pirates, mostly) and turn the marines into the heroes everyone can rely on. If he does it wrong he could ruin society's perception of them, that's why I think he was angry with Fujitora after the Dressrosa events.
Akainu is one of the most badass Marines in the story. Especially when the hat covers the top part of his face. It gives that intimidating vibe and knowing how ridiculously strong he is, I'd say he's an absolute badass. He's actually my favorite marine. Yes I know he's not compassionate, he's cold-hearted, but I like how Oda wrote him. He's cool
"After all, in his heart, Akainu is burning for true justice." The admirals are inspired by the legend of Momotaro and help the protagonist in the legend itself. It is not difficult to believe that in the face of Luffy's ability to bring everyone to his side, in the end it is the highest military offices to overthrow the highest political offices. A real coup.
He's also easily the most proactive of the Admiral's too. He is constantly scouring the seas for criminals, disloyalty, insubordination, corruption, and anarchy to be quelled in magma. Kuzan with all his heart, and chill nature is borderline useless as an admiral up until Marineford, and the same goes for Borsalino as well. They toy with their prey, and forget their duties half or most of the time. Sakazuki probably has an absolutely impeccable service record despite his extreme measures. Even during O'hara he may have fired upon the refugee ship, but the practicality of such an action during such an extreme as a Buster Call makes perfect sense. In his word's "if we let even a single scholar escape then all of this sacrifice would be for nothing". While that may sound soulless (it is) it also accentuates the potential consequences of being "merciful". If a scholar had escaped then the mass death caused by the Buster Call would have been in vain, and if a single Whitebeard pirate had escaped Marineford the war itself would have been in vain. To him all it takes is one moment of leniency/mercy and the entire establishment falls. Gotta say from what i've seen so far in the series he is right to be a hardass.
Just going to say, while I heavily agree with most of what you say, Marineford *WAS* pretty pointless, they created a power vacuum that was soon filled by an even worse pirate, while killing one of the few good pirates out there
Akainu is so underrated man. Idc what anyone say he took a whitebeard punch buffed with the earthquake fruit AND haki to the face and still wanted to see him on ones
i think you missed the reason of why akainu kill the nameless soldier or attempt of killing coby, he roast that soldier because he did a desertion (high tier war crime worldwide, even in real world, a deserter would be shot right away) ... 2ndly on coby, he did an insurbodination, which meant he literally defend a terrorist from being eliminated, sure being roast to death is quite extreme for coby's military penalty .... but i hope you understand why he did that
I think you missed the point. Koby literally said they were wasting lives of Marines who could be saved by continuing the fight. Also don't act like Akainu was in any way justified in killing those guys. You'd be imprisoned but not killed but even if it meant death you go through a trial and process. You don't just murder them on the spot.
Desertion in the face of the enemy is a common offense in world militaries throughout history that carries a sentence of summary execution. It seems within the character of the World Government for the Marines to have such a regulation, so it's likely Akainu's adherence to it would qualify the action as falling under his Absolute Justice.
Akainu’s character is so good, he has been my favorite marine since I first met him in 2016 till this day. And in my top 5 favorite character in all manga/anime
Meruem is just a discount Perfect Cell, and they’re both my most favorite villains in both series, but if you’re saying that you should like Meruem as a villain but hater Perfect Cell as a villain then you’re a hypocrite.
i always liked Akainu and did not know why but right now? I LOVE HIM thanks Ohara you are a great analyzer when it comes to any character i enjoy your content much love from Kurdistan 💜❤
Yeeees..i was dying to hear someone akainu the respect that he deserves.. One of my top 5, and i truly hope him to see justice in other light by end of the story..
I love Akinu he killed a pirate he's a twisted extremist but yeah killing asce was fine with me. Him attempting to kill Coby was a bit fucked though lol.
*SIGH* Okay...as a person, I can't be a friend or acquaintance with a man of extreme actions. And...he was responsible for what happened to the same home you named yourself on. I HATE him.
I think he miss understood what akainu meant when he said we have to be thorough. He didn't do it out of some stoic bravado to get the job done, in fact if anything he looks like he is barely keeping it together. He order the ship destroyed and the survivors killed because if a single "devil" escaped ohara then all the bloodshed caused by this drastic action was for nothing, it was horrible and he knew it. If a few hundred more deaths ensures it was successful and this won't have to be repeated elsewhere, then that's the logical choice. I got the impression that ohara was just as traumatic to him as it was to Robin and aokiji. That's why he devotes himself to AJ, because if the marines ever fail, then that and all the other horrible things the marines have done in the name of justice was for nothing. It is not a stance I agree with but I understand it.
I bleive Akainu could come the closest out of all the others he has the strongest devil fruit,a fight on that level could last for days, i don't see Kaido one shoting Akainu, but kaido would eventually win because one v one always bet on Kaido it what was stated in the manga
@@yonkobuster112 that's what people say, not what actually is the case. People also say that Moriah fought on par with kaido which is far from the truth. Oda said Akainu can end the One Piece in one year if he was the protagonist. Therefore, he can defeat all the obstacles in his way like the yonko. I belive the strongest right now Dragon, Akainu is the second strongest
@@m.phoenix1399 I agree, I always thought Akainu 2nd , In the marineford fight akiainu couldnt go full power because Oda made it very clear that from a story point of view Akainu was protectign the island, If it would ahve been in a different place where Akainu could go full power Whitebeard would have lost against Akainu. Glad I got too meet a One piece fan that is unbias toward Akainu.

justifying villains, I for one feel a villian must be unforgiveable. Which is why I despite Donflamingo, he was unforgiveable. All I see in Akainu is an obsession that hides a very hidden unstable rageful heart. That will eventually burn down everything if he is not stopped or changed
@@akariced456 that’s kind of the point? Why should villains not be assholes, he’s a pampered brat who loved being an asshole, fell from the top and ended up at the bottom and now is climbing his way to the “top” again. He’s the heavenly demon as in he has been both the highest and lowest.
Another fun thing that he forgot to mention about Sakazuki's flawed version of "Absolute Justice"... Is the fact that he has not arrested Garp who raised both Dragon (i assume he did) and Luffy, but instead gives him priviledge for the cover up of Garp "capturing Roger"
Probably not his call to make. I imagine either Kong or the Five Elder Stars would make those choices. As Garp is a huge PR boon for the world government as he's a hero in the eyes of the people. Plus he didn't raise Dragon or Ace, Sabo, or Luffy to be what they are he raised them to be marines.
How could he arrest Garp... Garp has broken no laws and has not been involved in any crimes. Garp is an outstanding marine who does his job well and respects the Navy, this vouches for his good character and dispels any possible suspicions. All in all there is nothing to prosecute him for, or else I have no doubt Akainu would hold him accountable.
@@holypaladin4657 , considering that the World Government has a mentality that the sins of the father passed onto the sons and daughters I’m honestly shocked as Ivan Cercer too that Akainu just didn’t execute Garp like what he tried to do with Luffy.
@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr The World Government and World Nobles are one thing, the Marines and their internal codes and attitudes are another. Unless the World Government outright mandates that Garp has to be killed for the actions of his descendants then Akainu has no reason to do anything. Akainu is a Navy man through and through and does not respect how the World Nobles and their puppets (Gorosei) do things. He probably doesn’t like Garp at all but Akainu will not do anything against him of his own initiative without reason.
@@holypaladin4657 , using your reasonings on justifying Akainu can easily be applied to Eustass Kid if he was taken and raised with the mindsets of the World Government themselves because just like Akainu thinks himself of the lesser of two evils Eustass Kid does too, and he doesn’t put up a façade whenever he’s doing the crimes he’s committed, and the Gorosei are more puppet masters than puppets because the puppets would be more like the Celestial Dragons that Akainu has never once tried like how Fisher Tiger killed most Celestial Dragons in Mariejoa.
That's the point the one piece world is a very dark place that turns the minor child into a Monster in he future with a deadly goal Sakazuki is a victim of this Pirate Era and could be the reason why he who he is today.
In a way Akainu reminds me of Javert from Les Misérables. It would be fitting if he got a similar end: he finds out his ideals are the true evil and jumps in the sea in shame like Javert in the Seine river?
@@AmanRishitwenty15 , it’s like Kid said himself Pirates like Kid aren’t Saints, but they don’t pretend that they’re monstrous and fucked up individuals whereas World Government officials like Akainu pretend to put up a facade claiming that they’re noble and virtuous.
I’ve been thinking the same thing for the longest time! It feels nice to be validated. In the novel, Javert is frequently associated with a dog, which fits in with the “inu” part of “Akainu” + Javert’s single-track mind, strong yet almost inhuman sense of duty, and belief in absolute authority remind me so much of Akainu. He’s just this type of law reinforcement knight templar, “the monstrous archangel Michael”, that resonates with me a lot. I don’t know if Akainu’ll end up in similar fashion to Javert, but I’m actually interested in whether they come from similar backgrounds. If Akainu is a pirate’s child, just like canonical Javert is a criminal’s child, born inside a jail, it would explain A LOT
@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr according to mingo the admirals rule the seas ( at least for now ) so he can do whatever tf he wants and he's definitely yonko level imo

Sakazuki killed his subordinate its because Ratio of War. War rules it self contain that no one Will escape including our army if the situation unexpected.
Akainu's way of doing things might seem brutal or immoral, but honestly what he does is military standart. Shooting the ship at ohara was the "right" thing to do because he saw the brutality of the buster call and he realised if one scientist escaped all the people on ohara would have died for nothing. Both ordering and not ordering the buster call could have been solutions to the problem but now that a deciseon had been made, by the higher ups they needed to stick with it. Executing deserters is not anything crazy, it is normal for war situations Akainu is doing something wich none of the main characters are doing right now he is upholding order. Sakazuki might seem "evil" to the viewer but that is only because we are vieweing the story from the Strawhats perspective. We have to realize that not all pirates are happy go lucky nice peolple like the Strawhats, in contrast most normal pirates are just robbing random citizens. So to keep the world from falling into chaos there is a need for a power that regulates such pirates activity. Akainu is important for the world peace and he knows that. He knows that alot of the things the world goverment does are wrong but if he would oppose them he would risk creating a chaos wich would only hurt the normal people. The navy must ot fall that is his true objective. With this I conclude that although Akainu seems like a tyrant he is a necessary evil and just the hero of his own story.
i think akainu has experienced something so utterly cruel and unforgivable by a pirate that he is now hating evrery single person that is a pirate or not directly opposing them and he is not actually interested in making a just world he just wants to get vengeance and justice for what he experienced and he is not a marine because he wants to save anyone or make a peaceful world he is simply there because he wants to kill every single pirate with his own hands
Was watching one piece for 10 years or so but your videos give a deep dive into characters and deconstruct them very well. To be honest I have missed a large amount of this information or just simply forget about it. Thanks for this quality videos :)
" Dofy is a great leader, probably the greatest we've ever seen. He has control over his people, NO RATS! He is also liked by, I would even say, loved by his peers and his people. He is a tremendous tremendous person."
"liked and loved by his people" only true with tunnel vision. if you only see the surface level facade of the tournament arc, maybe, but the moment luffy leaves the tournament, the facade falls apart. every toy citizen hates him, but is unable to show it until his reign ends. even some of his "family" only follow out of fear of his rage and power. If he didnt have any rats, how did law learn of his SMILE factory?
@@pokerfavor2169 you confuse me. do you understand the concept of a rat or mole? it is one who was at some point part of the organization, before revealing information. the mole/rat is still one if they dont give out the information until they leave. the only time someone who leaves isnt considered a mole/rat is if they refuse to give out information until the organization they have information on falls. If they contribute to the fall of the organization in some way, they are a rat. law goes full traitor, viola gives information without directly opposing. so yes, there are abundant rats. undercover is the same as being a rat. if law is in himself a rat, then there are rats.
Akainu has a “my side is the right side always “ mentality he doesn’t see right or wrong like everyone else he believes that everything the marines do is righteous probably due to some slight by pirates in his past you already know Oda is gonna give him some juicy tragic backstory
what if the people from ohara were able to flee? the world government would probably have to locate them and cause another disaster again. in that case it would be a sacrifice necessary to prevent something worse
You nailed it, The problem isn't liking a villain. It's people then posting Griffith did nothing wrong. Thinking liking a villain, really any character, means you have to justify that characters actions. You can like someone and still admit their actions are evil.

I think akainu killing his fellow marine was Justice, it was Justice for all the other marines who were risking their lives at the marineford battle,I mean the marine's reason for abandoning his post was to live to see his family but did those other marines not have families You see he was not being tyrannical, he was just sticking to the philosophy of Justice,in fact it would have been in my opinion truly unjust if akainu let him go, imagine if everyone else(who probably also had families, dreams, reasons to live )fought and died in the war while This coward snuck off and survived and got what he wanted.Once you become a soldier or become a part of some unit ,u have a personal responsibility to ur brothers in arms, acting selfish especially during battle is unforgivable,I suspect that was the point Oda was trying to make,I could be wrong tho
I have defended Akainu's decision a lot regarding that point. The marine was deserting and fleeing from a major battle. How many other Marine's have died fighting against the pirate threat never to see there loved ones again yet this asshole thinks he deserves better then them. If the pirates win this battle it would be chaos all over the world and would cause countless deaths down the line as pirates would use this to attack and do more harm. A line in the sand had to be drawn and everybody was needed in this fight.
what makes you think he wont😂? if garp really did attack him in marineford war, without a doubt akainu would attack garp back as he would sees garp doing an insurbodination and treason for offending his superior officer (admiral rank officer)
Well, killing his subordinates did happen. During the war. Key word, war. Most times, going against orders in war is viewed as treason, and thus are killed. There usually never is a trial for treason, and as such, deserters get shot reguardless of reason.
Do you study psychotherapy or something related to that maybe you are a philodophy student? These breakdowns are so spot on.. Amazing content very underrated channel
When i was young i thought Akainu to be evil but as i grow older i understand him more and more!He just wants to clear the world from filth,he has a strong sense of self,of values and morals that are not negotiable!Probably something happened to him so traumatic that made him hate pirates so much!I admire him as a person for being desciplined and going all out to achieve his goals or the goals of his superiors!Everyone would like to have Akainu in his team!
Akainu, the absolute Justice..There is a character similar to him in another manga,Kengan Ashura..Akoya Sheishu,a riot police who likes to be like a vigilante..He with the help of his Girlfriend who is also the contracter of him, find criminals and people who do evil things and kills them on the spot..And his sense of Justice is so similar to Akainu..Akoya also follows absolute justice and kills people who he deemed evil..He goes to such lengths to eradicate evil that he will kill the child of evil people he had killed even if the child is innocent..But Their difference is that Akoya knows what he is doing is also evil and he said that he will kill himself at last when all the evils are destroyed..
I would love if Oda works him out as the "bad guy" just to show us later that the forces who blended this man are the source of the problem and he was blinded and mislead by the circumstances they had him in
"Akainu isn't rash" *Laughs in Coby thats about the die *Laughs in Him getting mad and almost started using fruit VS Gorosei *Laughs in that dude who got killed from refusing his order

As a reserve army sergeant i have to inform you and everyone else here, that executing deserters on the spot is the obligation of the superior in rank, according to the martial law.
Everyone knows this, only kids don’t. This guy akainu does a lot of stuff done in the real world. He is the embodiment of the ends justify the means
His actions prevented Koby and Helmeppo from running away too.
Indeed is Akainu's action necessarily evil, especially if done with good intentions?
I know right!!

Lol, yeah sure. I’d love to know what army you’re talking about that gives its superiors the same indiscriminate powers as 40k commissars, but the biggest military in the world only executed one deserter after 1865, and that was a decision of the military court, so I’m doubting this is the case for very many other countries.
I really enjoy seeing Akainu with his Marine-basecap. He stands so much behind the navy, he is even wearing their merch.
He never put it down since his chore boy days....
Keep it up!

100% Agreed
@Kruv Mezulari indeed, sengoku should have play much more roles in that war, he got conqueror haki yet he didnt even use it in that war, kinda stupid as a fleet admiral if you ask me
He did what he considered what was right, maybe if there were more Akainus in the World crime would be less.
I just feel like Rocks might have fucked with Sakazuki's life up so much
You are so talented man.... I also believe Akainu was initially a relatively good person but got lost on his way to justice.
as a lawyer i study "justice", and i can say that the fact of him support the WG, warlords or slavery it's not "paradoxal" with the idea of "absolute justice" at all. in this (fascist) philosophy, he is absoltelly following the rules. the rules allow the warlords and slavery.
he see the world as a "natural hierarchy": there are thoso born to rule and thoso who born to follow. pirates will have sons that will be followers, nobles will have sons that will be rullers. he didn't question this. and if slaves born in situations that allow them be slaves, so this are the rules, so it's ok.
i enjoy these kind of videos a whole lot
He’s the reason why I started watching One Piece, and I hate to say it but, he’s my favorite character 😂
I love his Character.
He would stop at nothing to reach the goal and will probably even sacrifice his own crew mates to achieve it and he will definitely not stop at islands to help the people out😂
Cause thats how he is. He has only one goal and he makes damn sure he gets it.
It's one year but damn that's way shorter than luffy did
@@ariqueinnutshell2612 but to point it out, it's been about 2 years and 8 or 9 months since luffy sailed out, from which 2 years were spent on getting stronger, if we follow the time luffy spends on the islands he visits in every arc, he only spends 2 or 3 days at maximum. Wano being an exception. So I think that luffy would also achieve his goal in about 1.5 years of sailing in seas which doesn't include the time skip.
So he is basically Thanos.
He's cool
"After all, in his heart, Akainu is burning for true justice."
The admirals are inspired by the legend of Momotaro and help the protagonist in the legend itself.
Just going to say, while I heavily agree with most of what you say, Marineford *WAS* pretty pointless, they created a power vacuum that was soon filled by an even worse pirate, while killing one of the few good pirates out there
Yet when he sees corruption happening in his own occupation. He turns a blind eye. Akainu is nothing but a hypocrite.

i think you missed the reason of why akainu kill the nameless soldier or attempt of killing coby, he roast that soldier because he did a desertion (high tier war crime worldwide, even in real world, a deserter would be shot right away) ... 2ndly on coby, he did an insurbodination, which meant he literally defend a terrorist from being eliminated, sure being roast to death is quite extreme for coby's military penalty .... but i hope you understand why he did that
Yeah. He missed it. I thought it was obvious in the "militaristic" point of view.
He did what Raoh did to keep everyone in like.
Desertion doesn't mean the death penalty. It means imprisonment.
Coby thinking about marine soldiers .

@@imsentinelprime9279 ace is now a jelly dounut
Thats why his Name was Fire Fist Ace, great Foreshadowing
Aouch. Lava fisted Ace.
Ace did the Kakyoin challenge
With this I conclude that although Akainu seems like a tyrant he is a necessary evil and just the hero of his own story.
i totally agrees with you
Great comment
agreen
this video is prety biased i think
For me he wanted to Euthanised them eg kill them so they don't get buster called , if Kizaru were there he would just start killing them slowly.
For me he knows that if he tries to oppose the World Goverment they Nobles would try to kick him out hence an inner struggle.
i think akainu has experienced something so utterly cruel and unforgivable by a pirate that he is now hating evrery single person that is a pirate or not directly opposing them and he is not actually interested in making a just world he just wants to get vengeance and justice for what he experienced and he is not a marine because he wants to save anyone or make a peaceful world he is simply there because he wants to kill every single pirate with his own hands

Akainu is one of Oda's best creations, Oda said Akainu is so strong that if he was the main One Piece would end in a year.
Oda even claim he’s the strongest admiral in history of marine
I like ur artworks in your thumbnails in ur videos
thanks man! :)
Love your videos dude!!!
Cullen Latham he’s a rat
No rats, corazon, law, viola
Corey Wittmann viola dipped for the sake of love or some shit and the other 2 were undercover

I disagree
"Ignoring wano and not going after a yonkou should be a no-go if you want to be thorough" heeeeey, this man has bars. 🎶
what if the people from ohara were able to flee? the world government would probably have to locate them and cause another disaster again. in that case it would be a sacrifice necessary to prevent something worse
You nailed it, The problem isn't liking a villain. It's people then posting Griffith did nothing wrong. Thinking liking a villain, really any character, means you have to justify that characters actions. You can like someone and still admit their actions are evil.
Dang 4:22 seconds..i enjoy your videos but you sure took your time with video to start the info i wanted to hear. Nonetheless keep going man i enjoy your videos
Man these videos make me realise how good of writer oda is
Sakazuki "MagDog" Akainu
I appreciate you man. Thanks for the vids 💪🏽
I think we need a flashback for Akainu to truly understand him
I remember your first videos, more or less a podcast. Lately using the anime for more reference what you are talking about. Thank you for the extra effort, it enhances your analysis
Akainu has the power of Magma, but has a heart of ice
Kuzan has the power of Ice, but has a kind and warm heart
Kizaru has the power of Light, but is slow as all hell
Ah Tuesday. Right on schedule :-) goodjob. Love your work Man.
I think akainu killing his fellow marine was Justice, it was Justice for all the other marines who were risking their lives at the marineford battle,I mean the marine's reason for abandoning his post was to live to see his family but did those other marines not have families
You see he was not being tyrannical, he was just sticking to the philosophy of Justice,in fact it would have been in my opinion truly unjust if akainu let him go, imagine if everyone else(who probably also had families, dreams, reasons to live )fought and died in the war while
This coward snuck off and survived and got what he wanted.Once you become a soldier or become a part of some unit ,u have a personal responsibility to ur brothers in arms, acting selfish especially during battle is unforgivable,I suspect that was the point Oda was trying to make,I could be wrong tho
Yeah, he got angry that everyone eg Hina, Smoker , Onigumo etc were risking their lives and that Marine didn't try to help them.
cowards in war should be killed
I have defended Akainu's decision a lot regarding that point. The marine was deserting and fleeing from a major battle. How many other Marine's have died fighting against the pirate threat never to see there loved ones again yet this asshole thinks he deserves better then them. If the pirates win this battle it would be chaos all over the world and would cause countless deaths down the line as pirates would use this to attack and do more harm. A line in the sand had to be drawn and everybody was needed in this fight.
Yes, yes, but that's still tyranny. He had his reasons, but forcing your will upon others without their approval is tyranny.
What is with all the psychos in this comment section defending an attack dog of a corrupt institution killing innocent people?
I love how your contents starts from your intro and not just some dubstep nonsense
My favorite sceens with Akianu are the ones where Sengoku is ribbing him about "Job's not as easy as you thought, is it?"
Ahhhaa long waited video.... Bro... Finally I got it.....
hope you enjoyed it!
Admiral would have the authority to execute a soldier from disobeying orders, as go generals in war time.
akainu the type of guy to punish you for being late by a second
If Akainu believes in the legacy of the bloodline, then I dare him to try and attack Garp.
what makes you think he wont😂? if garp really did attack him in marineford war, without a doubt akainu would attack garp back as he would sees garp doing an insurbodination and treason for offending his superior officer (admiral rank officer)
Akainu would burn Garp down
@@yonkobuster112 garp PUNCHED marco with nothing but his fist think about how good he is with haki!
I agree with the values and Ideals of Thanos, Whenever I got stuck in traffic.
Well since akainu is based on bunta sugawara, how about bunta spicy-wara
The best video out of all the other 3 admirals'
When i was young i thought Akainu to be evil but as i grow older i understand him more and more!He just wants to clear the world from filth,he has a strong sense of self,of values and morals that are not negotiable!Probably something happened to him so traumatic that made him hate pirates so much!I admire him as a person for being desciplined and going all out to achieve his goals or the goals of his superiors!Everyone would like to have Akainu in his team!
A Pheasent lives life flying in the cool blue fresh air. While the dog burns red and melts those around while it barks at life.
Akainu is a great character, only boring Ace lovers sees him as bad.
I like Akainu the person. : D
U are twisted
me too, he gets his job done and doesn't pussyfoot around
I like Akainu he is a cool character but I can't forget him with what he did to Ace :(
I would love if Oda works him out as the "bad guy" just to show us later that the forces who blended this man are the source of the problem and he was blinded and mislead by the circumstances they had him in
"Akainu isn't rash"

The dielemma every endeavor fan suffer from
The closest Endeavor equivalent in OP is Garp. Beats the shit out of his kids, wants them to be powerful members in his line of work, is a massively known powerhouse and hero, spent his life chasing after the person the protagonist aspires to surpass.
That little speech at the start is perfect. People have their ways of enjoying a character. I fucking despise Doflamingo, but he's my favourite villain in One Piece. Sounds contradictory, but that's what good character writing does to me. Everyone enjoys characters differently.
