Polaris makes a specific machine for Rocks as well. The XP1000 Trails and Rocks Edition. Lower gearing, bead locks, larger tires, turbo style front diff, larger axles, high clearance lower suspension arms, winch, rocker panel protection(although laughably weak), front to rear skid plate, and likely other stuff I am forgetting.
@6:12 you added a rear panel that prevents you adding a 5 or preferably a 6 point harness… which is more vital than any other add-on, no matter what kind of riding you’re doing… I have a Trail S 1000 ultimate and rolled it two different times without even trying
What a great rig. I've always enjoyed the fun confidence filled content y'all put out. I live in Nevada and do alot of crawling in my SXS's mostly in a General that I've set up the same way including pulling front and rear sway bars. 💚 y'all 👍👍
Looking good, why did you replace the roof it came with for the alum. one? Just my suggestion would be replace the stock skid plate with heavy duty ones to help protect the underneath.
Did you just winch around a tree without a tree saver strap :-O Shame on you! LOL :-) They are a good thing to carry with you though, I'm sure they were intended for use with steel cables but nylon can cut too. Awesome build , great show as usual.
Pure polaris parts, so 🤑🤑 also I was looking at bumpers, and I like the idea of the full coverage bumper like that, but im leaning low profile bumper, my thinking is that the full coverage bumper would obscure the headlight beams, even with my light bar on the roof I'd hate to cast shadows with that style bumper
Also went from stock size on our rzr trail 900 premium to 29/9/14 traction gripper max on traxion 14" wheels, we upgraded the springs to bandit utv springs and we clear with no rubbing on the lowest preload setting, with stock springs on highest preload we rubbed at full lock and going over rocks/obstacles, I'd say the S would be no problem with 29s on stock suspension
As well as doing a front sway bar delete, before that if one tire was on a small rock around 6" tall the other front tire was off the ground, now we have plenty of articulation to maintain grip and confidence in those situations
Downside to pulling them off with the factory hardware is those anchors are considered one time use and will not secure the sliders back on properly and firmly without replacing them.
Nice build! Do you you think low gear is geared low enough for rock crawling? I think the only thing left to do is replace the springs and maybe a 2 or 3 in. Lift kit. Really like this kind of content.
Those pure polaris door uppers for the news trails are overpriced junk. Be glad you didnt have to put them on ! Great video. Sometimes i wish i got the S over the 50 inch.
Why! Over priced and less affective. Your served Polaris and yourself! No one in their right mind would do this. Now go do this with SuperATV Parts and you could get some builds that would make a good build.
@@atvseatexchange2176 I have over 20 Electric RC Airplanes and ton of Electric RC cars, Trucks and Motorcycles. All lawnmowers, blowers, trimmers, chain saws and more all Electric.
@@crazyflyboy30 Nice collection, I'm looking at a Polaris EV Ranger for sale nearby. I got to drive one at the shop and it was pretty good but it took a minute to get used to no engine noise.
@@atvseatexchange2176 That's Awesome. I talked to a guy at lawnmower shop about electric lawnmowers and he said that he has a friend that got the Electric Polaris and Loves it. I have been calling Polaris about a upcoming Electric ATV, I have parked my Sportsman XP 1000 I have not been started in over 4 months.
Great video. Just goes on to prove how universal trail models are these days. Best of both worlds.
Wow absolutely love the build and the easy hook up Polaris accessories makes it look amazing, excellent job 👍 and the Polaris razr trail S 😍
Thanks! 👍

What's the wheel offset and how much wider is the Rzr now?

PS. Nevada is in the US 🇺🇸.
I forgot y'all are in Canada 🇨🇦.
What tires are you running? I been using 32in tusk terrybites on my lifted ranger and they work Amazing on the rocks .
Awesome! Thank you!
We got it!

I've been running the M1 EVIL on the General. They have been a pretty good tire.
Awesome build guy’s!👍
Thank you! 👍

how do you feel about the rock sliders? I have heard they hold a ton of mud and don't have an easy way to empty out.

Cool build! You have given me a bunch of good ideas for my new trail s.
I don’t like those rear bars at the back can they come off?
We added those so they don't need to be on there.
Hey would you do a thing on how the 570 xmr has been and any upgrades you would do?
I like that idea

Just picked up my RZR Trail 1000s premium. Get wait to get that sucker on the trail.
Does the short wheel base not hurt stability on step rock climbs?
For real rock crawling, a new skid plate is a must. Factory plate will spread the first day.

My sister rear ended my dads rzr going 18 mph but we had bumper on our rzr but it did bend it but kept the plastics

Disappointing.. You built a universal machine. None of this is rock crawling specific. Where's the suspension, gearing and skid plate?
Do to climate crisis I'm unsubscribing to anything that is not electric.
You got an electric airplane?
