  • If your air conditioning system stopped blowing cold air on your Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon, Cadillac Escalade, or any other GM Truck or SUV you need to watch this video before you do anything. If your A/C condenser is the culprit, it might be covered under a special coverage and if it is NOT, then this video will show you how to DO IT YOURSELF! Watch this video til the very end!

Hey what up bro thanks for the video, it helped me change mine ,same story hit 63k and chevy would not fix it since the warranty was extended already, so thats where this video fix helped,, the condencer was 100! The kicker was the refrigerant was R1234Y .... NOTE FOR ANYONE READING! to get chevy to vacuum and recharge this high price refrigerant cost $630! So have the system checked for leaks before 60k! Thanks again you still saved me a bunch!

Thank you for posting this. We have a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe that we bought new and at 36,600 miles the AC quit working. The dealer said SOL. Long story short our condenser had a small pin hole leak up on the driver side. GM put a piece of duct tape looking material about 6"x6" over that exact spot so they knew there was an issue with it.

Log into your onstar app and there should be a special coverage for this for your model. Special Coverage 17336 should cover you till 100,000 km or 60,000 miles. I just had mine go and I emailed my dealer and attached pictures of what I saw along with the letter/notice on onstar.

I had to deal with the replacement being a little bent, so had to flex it to get it to fit and the plastic housings were a pain in the ass (drivers side doesn't fit right over top port) but because of your video I was able to get it done in 3 hours give or take because of the issues I had to fight with. I have a Tahoe 2017 with same problem, on 7/2020 I took it to the dealer and it was cover by the warranty, I contacted the dealer to find out if the warranty will cover to repair it.
They told me since the Tahoe has 42,000 miles warranty is only for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles. Also I called GM to check if the warranty will cover and they told no.
Please advise how can I proceed to get it fix with the warranty.

I think Im having the same problem, My clutch had went out so I had to replace the ac compressor. When i tried to recharge freon the clutch would engage but the cooling fan will not come on and the pressure is showing 80 psi which is keeping it from taking the freon. We pull vaccuum but still cant tell if there is an leak.

I have a similar problem. I've been back and forth to the dealer, the fans and condenser have been replaced, HVAC module reprogrammed, $1300 later the fans still work off and on. When there running I have cold AC and when they stop I get hot air? What is the dealer or me missing?

Hector, I appreciate you for taking the time to make this video. Where do you recommend getting the condenser. I have a 2015 Yukon needs a new condenser. Thanks again. Also, I am looking to replace my struts, causing a irritating scrunching noise. Thank you so much, Peace out!!!
