I'd forgotten just how downright sassy you get at characters acting like dumbasses! Man hearing the Kingdom described as having a 'national stupidity crisis' will never get old.
One thing about the nemesis appearing out of nowhere bit that not a lot of people realize is that there is an implied reason why the Agarthans never use him outside of verdant wind. In the opening of the shambhala map, Thales mentions the need to hurry with their “preparations” These preparations seem to be the resurrection of nemesis and his army. However, the silver snow version of the mission actually occurs an entire MONTH before the verdant wind version of it. The reason why they didn’t bring nemesis out in SS? He wasn’t resurrected yet, and even in verdant wind he has to pull himself out of that chamber rather than being released from it. Meanwhile in Azure moon. Thales is dead and can’t do that last minute attempt to trigger the resurrection process. Meanwhile CF is way shorter, so nemesis may show up in the off screen war against the slitherers. As for hopes, it might be that shambhala was attacked already, as the territory documents mention ruins being explored in Hrym territory, implying they already beat them down. Even if that isn’t the case, each hopes mission takes a month (except for the ones which go straight to the main mission) and you can do some math to figure out how long and when each mission occurs. For instance, SB starts earliest, in April, with the garreg Mach stuff then the AG stuff happening in may. You can also figure out when stuff starts with the golden deer by the cutscene where Dimitri meets with Rhea. Then you just need to count each mission as a month, account for when winter starts and ends, and compare which paths begin earlier. Regardless, you can figure out that the game ends way before 1185 roles around, meaning the nemesis thing wouldn’t even be done yet.

During Silver Snow, the game actually skips the month in which War at Gronder happens (Great Tree Moon/March), meaning that in that route you get one month less of preparations and also miss Ferdinand's birthday.
On the point of Epimenedes vs Thales, I’d argue that the former’s death at the latter’s hands is interesting in and of itself, as it shows one of those converging points in history that greatly shapes the future. It’s like how Rome winning the Punic Wars greatly influenced the Western world. Epimenedes dying and being forced into obscurity, likely at Thales’ hand, shapes Agartha into what they are. Had Epimenedes lived or even defeated Thales himself, so much would be different. Maybe a kingdom of Agartha rises to the surface. Maybe he even finds a way to broker a peace with the Church. But I do agree that Thales could have done at least a little more in the main story
One of my favorite things about 3h is just how many remnants of unfinished projects there are within the game or at least stuff that was supposed to be more prominent but only exists with sparse mentions. And the biggest of those (aside from the crest-arcana connection which is a whole other can of worms) is the azure moon internal route split that was supposed to happen. This is likely why felix argues so much with Dimitri and all that fighting was probably gonna lead to a split halfway through. Yet it seems dimitri gets his sanity back through the power of goddess hands just in time for felix to not split. Still always made me curious what could have been

It's actually kinda of a rarity. Even though I'm of the opinion that GW is the weakest of the Hopes routes, it's cool to find people who actually like it.

Also, it was great to learn these videos were definitely not at all inspired by the Boofire191 series that I also definitely didn't enjoy. Hopefully Those who Jamboree in the Arcade don't detract from one last hurrah. I don't think it should be rushed at all, considering the work you put into both your Fodlan videos and the Xenoblade videos - which I 100% admit I have to get around to, as I simply didn't make time for Xenoblade after Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and X - but you had a poll regarding a rewrite of Three Houses / Three Hopes, and I'm curious only if it's been canned, or is simply on the backburner. Obviously it would take a lot of work, as there's 3~4 routes already depending on how you look at it, and the poll results also asked that you do supports apparently as well, which is... sounds like the job of a writing team instead of just one man.
Its not canned, just on the backburner. I've done a little editing on it, but as you guessed, the support work is the crux of the issue, as well as getting the right visuals for them. Takes a lot of editing which is the real problem, less so the writing, as I had scripts for the ideas written up back before I did TH-cam because A)I loved the idea, and B)I wanted to do the idea but waited until I had the actual editing skills to make a decent video out of it. So no worries, I intend to finish them, although it may be a slow burn.
Hell yeah! Absolute banger video to once again realize how amazing Three Houses' worldbuilding actually is Let's hope we get to see what those writers were cooking while Engage happened once the imminent Switch 2 release drops

Faerghus is the type of fictional country that I'd never choose to live in cuz frozen wastelands, but I always thought it had good world building. It had a culture. It had connections between families. It felt more real for all its flaws. It felt believable for all its flaws. It's a broken mess of a country that needed Dimitri's reforms, but it felt like any similar real country in need of the same. By contrast, Leicester was the best off in terms of weather and resources, but it never felt like it had good world building to me. It didn't feel lived in. There was no culture. They felt interconnected. We don't learn much about the noble houses beyond a few. Adrestia is the middle ground. Better word building than Leicester but worse than Faerghus. A nicer place to live than Faerghus, but not quite as appealing as Leicester. However, once it launches a full scale war, and becomes the aggressor nation, it makes for a great antagonist nation. Perhaps a little cliche (evil empire) but it suited its purpose well.
Viva Hearthlandia once again! Ive never gotten into Xenoblade so I haven’t done those videos but I'll be looking for other Hearths to watch, as well as if you feel up for more Fodlan in the future:)

I disagree with your disagreement, she IS aware of the things she's doing but she doesn't actually do anything to stop so it isn't really self reflection.

Most of her wrongs are because she works with the Slither squad in the first place. Also, she murders Kostas but he tried to kill 3 teenagers because one of them paid him to scare off a professor . But saying Edelgard isn't like Rhea is also wrong, imo. Edelgard has moments where she acts so far out of morality that it's impossible to justify the action while also not justifying Rhea. They are two sides of the same coin villains. They both act in an ends justifies the means mentality. Whether you think Edelgard does self-reflect should have the same answer as if Rhea self-reflects or not.

There’s a difference between self-awareness and self-reflection. Edelgard leans way more towards the former, because she can admit to what she is doing, but does not spend enough time actually accepting the gravity of it, or the kind of person it makes her, she just keeps acting on what she feels she needs to do, like a robot.

(It was both, I was a two-timing maniac, I ran two separate hard difficult save files, it was jarring I know but I get to taste the best of both worlds).
