Thank you so much Nick for teaching this the right way. Your one of my all time favorite players.. And also for always keeping Dimes legacy and memory alive . RIP Dime.. Never forgotten..

We went to Sweetwater in June 2020 and my friend was riffing Regular People by Pantera. Nick walked by and made a point to tell my Buddy how good he sounded. He also showed his badass Dime tattoo on his forearm.
This one goes into the save file right alongside Pete Thorn's dissection of Eruption. Well done, Nick! And LOVE Dime's comment - if it sounds good and you like it, that's all that matters... Still a gigantic loss....
@joesatchton. Wanted to come back to this comment and say thanks. I’ve never seen the Pete Thorn eruption lesson. Just watched them . Killer! Thanks man.
@@HeadbangersLocal Cheers brotha...Pete's been doing a bunch of EVH tone analysis recently, along with help from a couple guys named Dave Friedman and John Suhr. lol....those guys know a few things. :) Pete's guitar content is among the finest stuff on youtube. Cheers and rock on!
Awesome video! But there's one thing I don't understand. What do you mean with the "heavy duty palm muting"? When I play the riff it sounds a little bit flat. Can anybody help?
This is spot on. I have always known the right way on this and argued it with others many times. I'm like bro there's a bar chord in there lol Don't get me started on Walk and how it's actually tuned/ played. 👍
Thanks i think because you are a lefty its easy for us righty guys to pick it up i guess that's how my brain perceives it lol cool you should do more lessons i can probably pick up shit alot quicker Thanks alot also DIME is one of my favorite guitarists ever I'm still feeling his loss.
Wow, Thank you Nick. I could never get the lower register form of the riff to sound right. Adding both the E5 and the A5 make the riff chug and swing right. \m/
You know Nick is legit when he honors the Dime way.
Wish everyone could show how to play riffs like this. It was so clear and easy to follow you. Thanks!
Perfect video for today. RIP Dime, you are missed.
Would definitely like to see more of these type of tutorials. Thanks!
Nick is a beast! Always keeping the legacy of Saint Dime alive!
This is a good and great man here.
Nick is pure rock

💗🤘
Pretty badass!
I love this guy 👊
That was fun thank you!
It’s the same concept as Black Sabbath riffs. Technically it’s the right notes, but it’s played on the thicker strings. It just sounds heavier.
Thanks for lesson keep going 🤘
Cool! Now, I'd like for Nick to show us how to play Grim Reaper riffs! ;P
🔥🔥🔥🤘
Nice guitar
Awesome video! But there's one thing I don't understand. What do you mean with the "heavy duty palm muting"?
When I play the riff it sounds a little bit flat. Can anybody help?
Nick, did you write “reefer madness”?
does it with the least southern guitar ever
ha dude thank you, I am 333% glad I watched this.

Holy Jesus where did you get that beautiful guitar?
Hellyeah 🤘

Instead of staying still while playing, Dime original playing style will allow you to dance with the guitar
Can you show zakk please? He's playing it the learner way.. 😂
The shortness of your fingers gives me hope 😥
The AUDACITY to play a pantera song on a British guitar
Got it down 5 minutes boom.
5 minutes.... alone? 🤘
Thanks for watching, David!
Git ur pull! How’s that cholesterol? The Grim Reaper will have to wait a little longer 😜 for your soul! Lol
Wrong riff playing. It should be E5 - G note - E5 - G note - the rest is correct.
This is not the right way
TO MUCH TALK
Shut up!
Wow, Thank you Nick. I could never get the lower register form of the riff to sound right. Adding both the E5 and the A5 make the riff chug and swing right. \m/
