- Jim and Ted Baird, Season 4 Alone winners, have explored and endured over 10,000 miles of the worlds most brutal terrain. Now, they’re pushing off on a 2 week, 140 mile canoe trip in the Temagami Wilderness of Canada. This backcountry adventure will test their skills and strength as they paddle and portage through the bush with close to 1,000 lbs between themselves, their gear and Jim's faithful dog Buck. The Bros. will educate and inspire you to get out and explore these beautiful wild places, and to course your own adventure!

Thank you! Somebody that agrees marshmallows suck. The only good part of s’mores are the chocolate and graham crackers
@Brady Colson sure Bot, go post your scam on somebody else’s comments
@Diann Verburg oh yeah, 2month old account. Sure sure, you’ve been using it for months. Hope nobody falls for this scam
Just finding this one! I’ve watched some of your videos 2 and 3 times! Always nice to get one I haven’t seen! So far this video is pretty cool!
Buck Is so chill. Just rolling with whatever comes along
Lol 4 sure he really is super chill
I like this series a lot. Feels like both are more carefree than in later videos.
A great adventure. I enjoyed watching. Thank you for sharing.
Knowing the lake by the put in alone is so gratifying
OMG...I absolutely Love Buck! May He Rest In Peace! Only special humans come across the perfect Dog, Jim Baird you were blessed to be that special person...and You too Ted Baird! I Love Bella too!
We enjoy watching your adventures, since Alone. Canada is a beautiful place, hope to visit again one day.
Thanks! Its definitely beautiful so much to explore. Cool your here from Alone it was nice having food this time lol
I thought, i know every Baird Bros Paddle-Adventure. This video is the proof that i was wrong. Great Video!
Adventure comedy, cool and entertaining :)
Thanks! Much appreciated!
New genera maybe?
RIght on!!! SO GLAD these shows are on TH-cam. Thank you. Subscribed and can't wait to watch ALL of the Baird's adventures!! Please keep them on TH-cam. Thank you.
thanks a lot!!
I’ve been following your videos since Alone, not sure how I missed this one and it was the best yet. Tons of great info, thanks for sharing!
I like finding episodes I haven't seen, mainly when Buck is in them..
Wow brings back memories from when i was a kid canoeing with my dad ... loved temagami
Super video!!!
Thank you!
Awesome interesting, educational funny video. I so enjoyed the loading of the canoe and the Ontario song. cute dub of the paddle text and sound effects of it.
Thanks!
You almost needed to pull a trailer for all that gear! 🛶🛶
Thanks for packing everything necessary to bring us this series. 👍🏼
Haha ya seriously
Nicely done, guys.
Thank you!
Well done guys! A great part of the country. Looking forward to canoeing in Temagami next summer with my 14-year old son. We probably won’t have nearly as much gear! Looking forward to watching the rest of your trip videos.
Thanks! Should be a good trip with your son and definitely dont bring this much gear lol unless it's a bootcamp
Feels like next incarnation of Bob and Doug - if you started calling each other hoser I`d lose it! Fun & real- enoying every minute of it- awesome to see the 2 of you at it again!
Lol thanks a lot!
Haha, thanks...I'm not sure if it's healthy that I'm flattered, you know, with Bob and Doug being the lowest common denominators and all, but I am. Have you ever Googled "Out For a Rip"? it's another hilarious Canadian parody. The thing is though, Ted and I arent acting.
Another classic to be sure -along with the song ‘stronger beer’ by Tim Hicks! I Appreciating the knowledgable yet, entertaining Brotherhood you & your brother bring to my screen - but I do understand you are non fictional characters😉. Again - appreciate the 2 of you for keeping it Real!
ps- Would be amazing to cross paths out in ‘The Great White North’!
pss- Tori completely kicks ass! & I’m Proud to say my partner has that same kind of Fire!!
@@coreypietryszyn7218 Stronger beer is a funny tune 4 sure.
Great job
Did you hit that dudes truck??? 🤭
Nice trip. Doing my first canoe trip in Temagami this weekend (after doing nearly 60 interior trips in Algonquin)!
my family and I paddled this section the week prior to you both, the fire ban was hard, but left us with more time to just sit around and soak it all in. we did not see a single human for 6 out of 10 days.
The lack of people is definitely one of the perks I suppose
Excellent Brothers!!! Well done on all the great filming, and thanks to BeAlive for hosting this series!
Whatever you do... don't get your "Tootsies" wet Jim! Pays to be Buck the Wonderdog! He's smoothin' it!
Look forward to the further adventures of The Baird Brothers! Cheers
Lol thanks!
The arguing on Lost is what made you guys my favourite team. Plue you were Canadian.
Lol ya pretty easy 2 tell were Canucks
I imagine you're meaning Alone, through the name Lost would suit the bill for the show too.
Thanks a lot, and yup we're Canadian
My wife and I really enjoy watching you and your brother's adventures! And we started with the recent videos and are now working backwards in time. Really great content and scenery! I am wondering why you chose to do away with the route graphics? It seems like a lot of extra work in the editing process, but it adds to the scope and depth of the land/waterways that you two are traversing. But I do respect some anonymity with regards to locations and routes that are less unknown. Thanks again for creating these videos.
Brotherly love and determination! Nice ♡
Thank you:)
Love you guys, you two are 100% Canadian Voyagers/Heros, Big Fan from Manitoba 👍👍👊👊
This is gold! Really hoping to do something like this with my brother this summer. Northern temagami is my playground. Awesome job.
Thanks!
Great start! Looking forward to the rest. Chiniguchi rocks, marshmallows are crap, and your catch and release could use a tad more love for our finned friends 🙃
Thanks a lot for checking it out! Sorry about the way I threw those Bass back. I was on a ledge to my defense. Glad you like it.
All good brother. Wasn't that bad, just could've been better :)
Oh man!! This looks like an awesome series! Will def be tuning in 😃👍
Thanks 4 tuning in 👍 appreciate it
Wow, Jim.....Love the footage and the way this clip was made. Liking the drone views! Keep'em coming!
Will do Mike. We went to great lengths to capture all of that footage on the adventure. Glad you like it.
Thanks Mike!
Great video! Can't wait for my next adventure up North. Hopefully in a new Eureka Mountain Pass tent!
Haha! Ya 4 sure giving away another one Wednesday for episode 5 ! Thanks for watching
This is great. These two were some of my favorites in all the shows. My brother and I have kayaked 250 plus miles on the Yadkin river and this is really inspiring my to add a kayak video soon. I dig these guys attitude.
Thanks !
Thanks a lot, good to hear you like paddling rivers too, it's a great way to travel and a very honest one too.
YES! been looking forward to these vids since your facebook post awhile back. Looks amazing, don't know how you guys do it with all that gear and Buck but I"m glad it was captured on video. Looking forward to the rest of the series and hearing more about the origin of Buck.
Awesome Glad u like it
yup, we try to capture it all for better or for worse. thanks a lot!
You guys are funny!!! Amazing video, it was fun to watch!
Thanks Martin! Hope you're good man.
I used to live on lake Wanapitei and spent a lot of time exploring this area. I hear that our government is now going to allow mining exploration in the Wolf Lake old growth red pine forest.
Fantastic! You guys are highly entertaining and informative. When are new episodes of this journey available?
Right on, Glad, you like it. The next Ep. is coming out Oct 30th so not too far away. Things get interesting on this route too. This first day was actually our easiest travel day.
Love ALONE and you guys on here and anywhere I see ya. Field and Stream videos are awesome too! Be safe boys. Keep us posted on FB about shows like this ^ and other ventures. Thanks
@@jerkules666 Hey Yes we will keep posting episode 2 will be ready Oct 30th awesome you like our stuff thanks a lot 4 following along
you boys are right up my alley. cheers!
Really nice work. Real guys, lugging real weight (plus self-portaging dog), with awesome terrain. Looking forward to the rest.
I like your channels, individual and combined. I am amazed by your skills and the scenery. My only comment .... don't roll your eyes ..... is the imposed short time frame for trips. I know you can't leisurely float on with family and business constraints. Yet the viewer loses a lot in the focus on...."gotta get there!". Take it from me with a leukemia diagnosis ...take the time.
You guys are great!!!
Good showing guys. Never say die. Just one question so far...why do you have a generator?
Hey man the generator was charge the camera gear as we filmed the whole series ourselves. 2 weeks with heavy charging needs drone and multiple cams. Solar wasn't gonna cut it or be any lighter so it was a necessary evil
Great video watched it again, very interactive and well planned out. Buck is so laid back he’s almost a hippie/ Surfers dog lol!! No arguing brothers but if you have to get it out of the way.🤜🏼🤛🏼🤟🏻👽Aloha&mahalo for sharing.
Good hustle brothers!! Love seeing you turning your love of the outdoors into a livelihood. That route looks challenging to say the least... May giver a shot next summer!
Thx yes it's such beautiful country
Thanks a lot, and ya, you should give it a shot....though there are a few other options to cut over to the Sturgeon than the one we did on this trip.
Love the storytelling and the scenery. I'll share this if you don't mind.
Really enjoyed this start-up video! Great project and landscape, looking forward to seeing more. Very entertaining, you guyz rock ;)
Hey, thanks a lot! great comment. The next one should be out on the 30th.
Hey thanks for the great review. Glad u liked it!
cool .
A good video. Since I haven't seen Ted in a video lately I thought I would watch this one again.
I had to break out the ol’ meter to rod converter. You guys would like portaging a little more with a 42 lb wenonah Minnesota 2. No whitewater though....
"Don't piss there man I gotta get water" 🤣😂 what a team! Loved the video, I'm subscribed! Thanks boys!
Awesome. Jims narration voice is spot on lol
Awesomeness
Thx!
I for one welcome Buck the Overlord!!
You two are crazy 😜 love the views. I’ve done some of this trip it’s beautiful country. I don’t know how I missed this earlier.. Good to see you again
Awesome country for sure and thanks! Glad u found it
Like your subtle humour & understatement. Brian 78
Great vid guys. Your sense of humour reminds me of my brothers and I when we’re camping. Keep up the great work boys👍.
Thx bud!
Thanks, good to hear you get out with your brothers too. I find that brothers fight sometimes but then they can get over things fast.
Graet video.Enjoyed it very much !!!
I'm from North bay. Nice up there.
You guys really ought to carry a gold pan with you
This popped up me lost you right at storm on latest up load trip.
buck has the best life,,,,,,,,,great videos all of these,,,
i think we need a bigger boat
Didnt know buck was malmute.explains his size difference with my dog shadow.and the ears.
"Parts per million bud" hahaha
Lol
Buck has soooooo much character, it’s funny but watch your dog when he’s in the country and when he’s city bound two different beasts, “all domestic animals have this natural call of the wild they hear and obey”. Happy adventures Boyz.🧙🏽♂️🌲🦌🌲
new subscriber here. I really enjoy what your doing, found you from Shawn James I he other day.
BeAlive Thank you very much for a reply, i don't have any kind of social media just a flip phone and the ability to steal my kids tablet to watch your exciting vidieos. I gotta tell ya the way you follow your dreams and passions is real inspiration to me. Maybe someday soon before I run out of youth I will get out there.
Hey Darren, thanks a lot...I'm looking forward to my upcoming trip with Shawn. And also, this is BeAlive's channel and series we shot for them. If you haven't seen my channel specifically yet it's Jim Baird - Adventurer
I went to this place when i was a teen like 20 years ago called Temagami wilderness center for kids or something. It was for bad kids it seemed. Anyways i was bad and i had to go with 1 guide counsellor dude for a 2 week canoe trip through hell. I remmber i lost mad weight and i almost drowned twice it was pretty rad all in all
I don't know if this is a point of interest .! But I'II give it a try . As a request .And if this could be a future video I don't know..The Area is " Haliburton " ..The story is on " Drag Lake " Which once viewed on a video you won't think of it as much..The Story is great..Dating back to 1972 ., Juveniles where sent their to finish off their sentences..These guys were around 13 years and older whereby they build cabins , all eleven..The Camp backs onto Algonquian Park..! ..
And while they where their the Camp was Called " Waterfalls Camp " ..Naturally and in 2002 We bought this Camp..And Ran it for only a short while..All of 3 years...To assist and to be assured of this story , Just ask the Locals..Then I'Ii tell you more..K .Thanks..
I still remember the names of the previous owners..
My partner and I had a falling out along with the second partner who was with us on this epic journey.
We departed..But and after lifestyle changes..we ment up again in 2008..Whereby the property was re purchased.. But I wasn't their at the time..My partner all Military background now of a ripe age into 76 year living in His hometown..
Whom has recovered from cancer..At the first start of treatments. He went to a Auction..I didn't make much of until He returned with a Art Collection Called something 7's by Thomas Thomas , he purchased his collection..And thought you might of herd of this story..
I'm telling you this story because I figure you might like it..Anyway..I don't live with my partner I live nearby in a Town of Spanish Ontario .He lives in Spragg whereby I keep a close eye on him..And also felt this story filmed of the cabins and layout of the land would be a nice documentary great story..hopefully I'II hear back from you..Thanks..
I can’t believe how much crap you guys take. We did the White River and padded all way back to Rossport on Lake Superior. We don’t have half the stuff you guys had . And there was 4 of us guys. Was all that stuff really important ? We did fish a lot and eat seagull eggs with lots of cheese and pasta. Yummy.🤪👍🇨🇦
“Parts per billion bud “ haha decent.
yes
Nice filming :)
Was that the lake temagami access road that you took in? I need to go up there next month and was wondering how rough of a drive it is? It's hard to find info about it online and no google road view. I just drive a tiny ford fusion and not an suv or truck and I don't want to get stuck half way through
Nice work guys. I’m just sharing some vlogs of when I was paddling across Ontario on my way around the planet without ever using motorized transport. Check em out. Cheers!
Will do 👍
thanks! I hope my dancing doesn't make you uncomfortable. :)
@@TheRealTedBaird Is this the guy Algonquin Outfitters was telling you about?

"Ted and I"...... :)
You guys eat so much toxic food. lol. ALLLL that sugarrrr. kkkkkkk
✌👍
so much stuff. silly.
1000 lbs??? Seriously?
You guys took way too much stuff. You just need shelter, sleep system, food, kitchen stuff, clothes.
3 minutes in and I can’t take any more. The amount of shit these guys are bringing could last a regular trekker a year.
