Absolutely a proud dad moment. Not knowing anything about what transpired during your trip I came across your video as I follow several channels like yours. To my surprise my frick’n son is in the video. My boy was the one who rode first in the canoe. So proud of the work the crew he is on did this past summer. Not only this fire but they also spent time on the Fort Mac fire. Well. I am now subscribed to your channel and look forward to catching up on your past videos and what’s new to come.
My friend, you must watch the 30 Days in the Wilderness of Labrador and Quebec 6 hour video, oh my goodness is it good. Big ups to your son for doing such a good job out there.
I’ll miss Alex a lot. He has a great presence and the chemistry between two clear buds is so fun. Big fan of what you’re doing now Noah. Thanks to the whole crew over the years for exceptional content. Cheers from Australia
Awesome trip guys! Loved the editing of this video! That was a crazy wildlife experience! Cool to see a wolf, or a moose, but to see two wolves chasing a moose into a lake, wild! I love how you guys always seem to have some sort of very cool random experience with people on your long trips! On this trip it was the forest fire crew. Very neat that you guys got to help them across the lake! Really enjoyed the video guys!
Alex. I’ll miss ya. Noah keep creating content. I’m in my 60s and have a “brother from another mother” from childhood days too. We still go on camping and backpacking adventures together even though we’re now living miles apart. Looking forward to enjoying all the content yet to come
Good to see the two of you back exploring the great outdoors. Good to know Dave Green is well and busy canoeing. That was quite the wolf/moose sighting. Thank you for sharing.
The dudes always find adventure......and great scenery, wildlife, fish etc. Great video. Looking forward to the future of Northern Scavenger and hope Alex is able to guest star every once in awhile.
Pretty sure that the Gods blessed you guys that trip with all the things. Hope the wedding and the future is wonderful for you Alex. I will look forward to seeing you now and then. Rock on Noah!
What a stunning video...and a great adventure. Although my husband and I still camp trips like this are out of reach at 70 and 81 but we can enjoy it thru your eyes..
Thank you Noah and Alex for another exciting and beautiful adventure ❤ Good luck and sending many blessing for your new chapter in your life Alex. I hope we get to see you still carry on Noah. But with that said I enjoyed all the adventures you both and the others took us on it was truly magical for me. Noah without a doubt I wish you the same as well. Your just 2 young men that I liked and thought deeply of. I am sure your parents feel the same!! God Bless Cindy🇺🇸
You two remind me of Mr. Rogers. Calm, kind, educational, and you teach us new things. You do it in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Thank you for taking us with you on another adventure.
Love watching the two of you going tandem through white water, you make a great team! I had to laugh tho' when Alex was asking "where are we going", and Noah just calmly says "Straight" as he clearly saw the line the take.
Noah produces some of the best adventure videos- just amazing content, from the camaraderie between you and Alex, to the hard work of portaging up and down mountains, to the gorgeous scenery you paddle through. And the wonderful wildlife you come across while out on the lakes. I look forward to more!
Nice trip...did some of these routes in the 80's...now at 65, bad knee...back..not much chance of carrying a 75lb canoe any distance lol Enjoyed the vid and memories.
Love Temagami ❤ and these guys are epic - but my gawd - why do they pack like that? 😮 So much weight! So much stuff! This trip could be entirely single carry - esp with all those crazy portages. Love what they do (!) but it doesn’t have to be so friggin hard guys 😂
Great video lads. Some of the portages looked brutal, but sure is giving me an itch to get to Temagami. We'll miss you, Alex, but glad the channel is in good hands.
SO great to see you guys out again, what a trip! I have missed you and Alex, huge congratulations on your engagement! Wishing you and your fiance a lifetime of adventure, love, and good health 💓 Noah, looking forward to more and thanks as always for bringing us along!! 💜
Congratulations to Alex on the nuptials! Between the wildlife (I mean the moose hunting wolves were so cool but also in all my decades of paddling I have never seen a chipmunk swimming!) and ferrying forest fighters, a very memorable trip. Your videos are always a favourite to help me through the winter. Keep on keeping on!
Crazy similar story with the fire near Ishpatina Ridge. We were up there around the same time, hiking up Ishpatina Ridge and came across a small fire that was started from a campfire, not put out completely the night before. Crazy how far it was slowly spreading. We put it out,,, called in the MNR just in case and made a small video about it. "Fire on Ishpatina". on my channel. NS: Another great video. Alex you make such a great team with Noah and its great to see you guys back in Temagami. Would love to see Dave in a future episode too! Congratulations on the wedding! md
Almost woofed my cookies with the nutella cheese wrap! Great trip! Thank you so much for the incredible adventures. I realized that I am at the age now where a 10 day trip in Temagami is not likely. In fact, not gonna happen. So, Northern Scavenger trips will have to do! Thanks, NS dudes and dudettes and CONGRATULTIONS on the upcoming nuptials.
That was an awesome trip guys! Temagami is my backyard playground and my hat goes off to you guys for doing that loop. It isn't easy country to slog through. When you mentioned the forest fire I knew you guys were good for heading to Paul lake at that time cause when you live in this area, every fire is a concern and us locals watch the fire map like a hawk. There was a second smaller fire about a month later right by the trail into Ishpatina ridge. Both fires are listed as out now. Two thumbs up guys!👍👍
Excellent video. Beautiful sceneries. Congrats Alex on your new life adventure. Like in this adventure, you'll find beautiful canoeing and tough portages 🙂
So good to see you guys together again. I love Temagami area I worked there as a jr. Ranger back in 1969 building portages and fire fighting best summer of my life. Where did you start out at. Sorry to see you and Alex are going your separate ways for a while. You make good trippers
Loved the archival footage of first Temagami trip. The 'dude/bro' ratio has definitely dropped in your conversations as you have matured. They have been replaced with comfortable silences only possible between long time friends who are experienced, compatible canoeists. The wolf / moose encounter was magnificent. This was a beautiful film. Thank you.
You guys hit it out of the park once again! Probably the best, most picturesque Temagami video I've seen. If this doesn't make you want to paddle the Temagami region, I don't think anything will.
I loved it there again and again. My wife (from Georgia, U.S.) never went camping before I met her. I took her there for a 12 day loop. She was a super chick. We heard wolves, got scoped by bears, and were in bad weather. Lady Evelyn is magical. Not one time did my American Georgia girl complain except when the leeches came for her, and when the bears came out.
What a fantastic trip, you two did,... Love your videos, editings, & adventures ! Keep it coming, as long as your health allows you to,... 👍👍 2 thumbs up!
Wonderful to see you two guys together again. Always look forward to Northern Scavenger and for awhile there I thought you had given up for more dating but I just heard you say Alex instead is getting married. Congratulations! Memories of backpacking with my brother abound. Stay safe and be well. This old man continues to watch from FL USA.
That was so cool to learn about the manganese! I’m sure I’ve seen it before and didn’t know. Love the little lessons. And now you know to never listen to weird old men, camping on remote islands. 😀 Forest fires are a bitter sweet thing. They seem so devastating, but they’re so important, and increase biodiversity a lot. Still wouldn’t wanna be caught in one while camping though. And Alex, we’re gonna miss you! Another adventure guys gets married and disappears 😭. Congratulations, best wishes for you’re future.
This was a slapper. Great to see you lads out again. Loved seeing you trek past the lady Ev we used your video as beta for the trip we did this spring. Hap and Andrea have been busy keeping the portages clear!
Your filming, editing, and musical touches are getting to be on another level Noah! These little special moments like 43:50 really impart a feeling. Keep it up! 😍
Loving your adventure so far. But I have to jump on here at the tofu point ( halfway) and give you a tip: throw the tofu in the freezer ( in its package), thaw, then dehydrate. That way it comes back great at the same time as the rest of your meal and isn’t chewy leather. Thanks for your fantastic vids!
Although I live thousands of miles away from Canada these days, I so enjoy these vicarious canoe trips. Thank you so much guys for these wonderful videos. And I must say the technical quality is really superb. The footage you have the editing, the music, it's a real production as well as being a beautiful adventure.
Nice one, guys. You really have got the knack for the nature/adventure cinematography. I'm so glad you don't overuse the drone shots. There is so much more to life than drone shots!!
Missed you guys together! Thanks for taking us along. The helicopter was fun but no comparison to the float plane in the middle of your NF. trip. That was epic.😊
The wolves chasing the moose was epic!!! Great trip scavengers. Alex I look forward to your infrequent appearances in the future. All the best on your next chapter including marriage. Keep it going Noah! Great video guys!
Great video guys probably the best I’ve watched on Temagami. I worked that fire for 3 weeks, very lucky it stayed calm or Ishpatina would have been lost.
That’s some pretty damn good adventuring right there! The cinematography and editing is top notch. I’m in BC so it’s nice to see a different landscape. I’d love to do that but tbh the portages are dealbreakers. I love that you had not one but two double handers, let alone double headers. I hope you feel a sense of pride and accomplishment for a trip that most won’t ever do. But we gotta talk about trees, lol. You need to come this way and see our trees…:)
A great trip in beautiful country; good for you guys. A note on the whiskey, make sure you take enough. It’s better not to bring it at all, than to run out part way through. 😀 Also, if you have not read it, I recommend the poem Temagami by Archibald Lampman.
Lol, if I recall, it was Alex who had to swim for the canoe in Wabakimi. Those wolves looked very hungry, there ribs were showing. I appreciated that information about the manganese in the water. I’ve seen that here and always thought it was oil. Awesome trip guys, looking forward to your next adventure.
Noah and Alex, thank you for the many adventures you have taken me on. This was very sentimental and I apprecite that. Alex, congrats and best of luck with the wedding and your future. Hopefully we get to see you occasionally! Noah, i will continue to adventure with you. Dry bag is ready! Thank you both for years of incredible journeys.
What an epic trip in a gem of wilderness - and you two really have a way of making it all seem fluid and natural. From encroaching forest fires and moving AFFES crew around lakes, to a pair of wolves on an unsuccessful hunt for a young bull moose, to running the bony falls at Pilgrim's Triangle, to lining up the Obabika and back to lake travel - this trip has it all. We look forward to any and all of the trips the channel shares, but your friendship will last and that's what really matters. It's really quite interesting: Jay was there at seemingly this exact same time on the Sturgeon River, along another 8-day canoe route starting and ending in Matagamasi Lake. Do you mind saying when you were out on this trip? The weather seems to line up pretty well with Jay's solo trip, so it's likely he just missed you. In any event - another epic video from an epic duo of adventurers. Here's 🙌to Alex's continued prosperity in whatever he does (congrats on the impending nuptials!), and to the same for Noah and Rachel. This what earnest love of the outdoors and wilderness looks like to us. 💛
Absolutely a proud dad moment. Not knowing anything about what transpired during your trip I came across your video as I follow several channels like yours. my brothers were both in fort mac helping also .
hello! I was really impressed with that group and the work they do. Congrats to you and the boy!
I'm going to bed at a sensible time tonight, and nothing is gonna sto- GOD DAMN IT NOAH!
😅
Same 🤣
Amazing video, especially the underwater parts and moosehunt by the wolves!
I’ll miss Alex a lot. He has a great presence and the chemistry between two clear buds is so fun. Big fan of what you’re doing now Noah. Thanks to the whole crew over the years for exceptional content. Cheers from Australia

Epic bass fishing. Those fish have NEVER seen a lure/bait before..
It's so good to see you two back in Temagami together after all these years and know that some things still haven't changed!
How lucky we are to receive a Noah and Alex video. Watching you two together is my favourite content out there! ❤
Alex. I’ll miss ya. Noah keep creating content. I’m in my 60s and have a “brother from another mother” from childhood days too. We still go on camping and backpacking adventures together even though we’re now living miles apart. Looking forward to enjoying all the content yet to come
Amazing!
It's such a decent thing you guys did helping out the fire crew.
Aurora is pretty tasty to bad it was shut down 😅 🤙
Classic scavs post. A delight as always guys
Thanks dude!
So beautiful. Thank you. And please never stop showing the birds.
I love birds too. I recently discovered the Merlin App. Game changer
Good to see the two of you back exploring the great outdoors. Good to know Dave Green is well and busy canoeing. That was quite the wolf/moose sighting. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words, Cindy. You will be seeing Alex again and I have no plans to slow down the channel
Wonderful trip. It's nice to re-trace an old trail. Especially if you can do that with an old friend. Cheers!
The island camp at 1:11:11 with the drone is fantastic! Bravo! Noah and Alex know their canoeing adventures. Canada is a beautiful country.
Beautiful northern Ontario footage and amazing video production. 💕 Very nice to watch. Thank you!
I love the long videos. The more time I can spend vicariously on canoe trips, the better. I often watch it over a few days.
You two remind me of Mr. Rogers. Calm, kind, educational, and you teach us new things. You do it in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Thank you for taking us with you on another adventure.
GOD DAMN guys!!! Without question, some of your best cinematography. Great edit!
Lol, loved your animation at 32:00, that should be a trademark bit in all your videos!
Love watching the two of you going tandem through white water, you make a great team! I had to laugh tho' when Alex was asking "where are we going", and Noah just calmly says "Straight" as he clearly saw the line the take.
Wow! (54:07) awesome catch of the wolves tracking the moose 👌 👍 that was really something special to witness & a very rare sighting!
Noah produces some of the best adventure videos- just amazing content, from the camaraderie between you and Alex, to the hard work of portaging up and down mountains, to the gorgeous scenery you paddle through. So happy you two were able to have some “bachelor “ time! Gotta love a skinny ass River…Congratulations, Alex! TY to you both!😎
Have to admit I wasn’t quite half way through when I first commented. Now with the moose and wolves. Wow!
Going to misd Alex for sure , but wishing him all the best . Enjoy all your adventures !!!
Nice trip...did some of these routes in the 80's...now at 65, bad knee...back..not much chance of carrying a 75lb canoe any distance lol Enjoyed the vid and memories.
What a beautiful trip with lakes, forests, adventure, living nature, wolves chasing a moose Woow, very nice trip 😃🇨🇦🚣🌲🍂🍁🫎
Love getting to be part of the adventure, boys. Thanks for sharing!

Truly nothing better than a new Northern Scavenger video!! Gonna miss you Alex. Best wishes in your next chapter!!
Well, that was an "unsalted" trip right there! Simply fantastic! Thanks, guys, for the stunning video!
Great video lads. Some of the portages looked brutal, but sure is giving me an itch to get to Temagami.
We'll miss you, Alex, but glad the channel is in good hands.
I love this channel. Great video guys. Good luck Alex ❤❤❤
SO great to see you guys out again, what a trip! I have missed you and Alex, huge congratulations on your engagement! Wishing you and your fiance a lifetime of adventure, love, and good health 💓 Noah, looking forward to more and thanks as always for bringing us along!! 💜
...couple of dudes looking for adventure...Thank you for taking us on the journey!
Thanks Alex, and Noah, arguably your best video ever!
Agreed.
Great video guys, had to have been a blast…
Great video guys, local yocal, my backyard! One day i will atempt "The Trip" lol!
Congratulations to Alex on the nuptials! Thanks Cliff, we started on Temagami Lake. Great to hear from you
Great and interesting. Firefighters, pretty good fishing and a moose with two wolves after it, awesome.
Outstanding......as usual!
Great to see you guys back on another trip together! That’s was a very cool loop around Temagami. You shared it perfectly. A pleasure to watch 🍻
Loved the archival footage of first Temagami trip. The 'dude/bro' ratio has definitely dropped in your conversations as you have matured. They have been replaced with comfortable silences only possible between long time friends who are experienced, compatible canoeists. The wolf / moose encounter was magnificent. Thanks Peggy !
watched this for the second time - wow wow wow - amazing
Thanks Susan!
Another banger. The Wolves and the moose were amazing. Thank you both for sharing. Cheers
Awesome seriously challenging expedition but u 2 turned the pain and difficulty to fun and magnificence. Such a dynamic duo
You guys were practically in my back yard as they say. Glad you had a great trip!!
Cheers bottoms up I could see that being a tough portage if it was raining rocks be slippery as hell
You guys hit it out of the park once again! Probably the best, most picturesque Temagami video I've seen. If this doesn't make you want to paddle the Temagami region, I don't think anything will.
Wow, thanks for the compliment, Jay!
This Video was so much fun! You guys are absolute machines. Thank you
Good luck Alex, hope to see you again. Noah best wishes to you moving forward as well. Always great content. Keep it up!

This is one of my favorite channels.I really enjoyed this video,as well as all your videos. Thanks for creating them
Amazing! Glad to have you along for the ride
Amazing video. Great pacing and added touches. Congrats on the marriage.
What a fantastic trip, you two did,... Love your videos, editings, & adventures ! Keep it coming, as long as your health allows you to,... 👍👍 2 thumbs up!
Much appreciated, Marc
Wonderful to see you two guys together again. Memories of backpacking with my brother abound. Stay safe and be well. This old man continues to watch from FL USA.
Pretty cool adventure and the trick to tell weather it’s magnesium or not was pretty slick
Congrats Alex - Keep on ‘rockin’ Noah.
That was so cool to learn about the manganese! I’m sure I’ve seen it before and didn’t know. Love the little lessons.
And now you know to never listen to weird old men, camping on remote islands. 😀
Forest fires are a bitter sweet thing. They seem so devastating, but they’re so important, and increase biodiversity a lot. Still wouldn’t wanna be caught in one while camping though.
And Alex, we’re gonna miss you! Another adventure guys gets married and disappears 😭. Congratulations, best wishes for you’re future.
Fantastic trip. Great fishing! Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you.
This was a slapper. Great to see you lads out again. Loved seeing you trek past the lady Ev we used your video as beta for the trip we did this spring. Hap and Andrea have been busy keeping the portages clear!
Thanks dude!
Your filming, editing, and musical touches are getting to be on another level Noah! These little special moments like 43:50 really impart a feeling. Keep it up! 😍
Wicked trip. Temagami is so beautiful! Thanks
A good name for the second lunch wrap would be “the diaper”
😂😂
Loving your adventure so far. But I have to jump on here at the tofu point ( halfway) and give you a tip: throw the tofu in the freezer ( in its package), thaw, then dehydrate. That way it comes back great at the same time as the rest of your meal and isn’t chewy leather. Thanks for your fantastic vids!
Mary! Thank you 🙏
Great video guys.
That was awesome. That’s really nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Another beautiful adventure in the canoe!
Makes me want to buy a canoe and float.
Do it, Rob!
@@NorthernScavenger The project for this winter is to fix a 1943 Linkanoe and get her back on the water next spring.
I’m going to file this one under: ‘Hiking with a canoe.’
A new sport. Will be included in the 2050 Olympics.
Great stuff.
Cant wait to see Raygun's kids on the portage trails 😅
Wonderful trip. Thanks for sharing.
Although I live thousands of miles away from Canada these days, I so enjoy these vicarious canoe trips. Thank you so much guys for these wonderful videos. And I must say the technical quality is really superb. The footage you have the editing, the music, it's a real production as well as being a beautiful adventure.
Glad you like them!
great video and those 2 wolf lost there supper it ok i would not want to see that thank you for the great video
The boys are back in town!!!
Man I love this channel so much.
The BOYS are back! Love it
The wolves chasing the moose was epic!!!
Thanks man, really appreciate that
Congrats Alex!!! Enjoy the Bachelor Juice while you can!!
Thanks so much, dude
Lol, if I recall, it was Alex who had to swim for the canoe in Wabakimi. Those wolves looked very hungry, there ribs were showing. I appreciated that information about the manganese in the water.
Loved everything here. Well done boys
