Merci

I am 53. My mother used to sing this song to put me to sleep. I was a baby. Really don't remember her actually singing it to me. She's told me so many times. I do know that when I do hear this song I fee a sense of l calm come over me. I think of my Mom as well. She gave me a great music library. I saw J. Geils when I was 9y\o. 1978. In fact I got to watch the whole show setting side stage. I guess cause I was the only kid there. The band was impressed that I knew the words to most of their songs. Thanks Sharon for introducing me to such great music. I love you n Janis!

I am 71, and Janis takes me back to the free days. I so wish I could have been at one of her concerts. She touched every part of my heart- she sang straight from her total heart- from her toes to top of her head. Like Van Gogh, she had more feeling than the world could understand. Absolutely no one like her since she left us.

So I climbed on in and found myself waking up in Vancouver!!! I always love her!!! She Was The Sixties Poster Child and will always be! God Bless her & keep her safe, she is missed by all!

Love songs like summertime..etc by jazz singers and artists such as Morcheeba. Let’s give the originals their place. Ella Fitzgerald. I’m sure Janis would agree.

That's because most people don't know jack about beauty. It's not dolled up in pretty dresses, and make up. I still think that the Queen of England is one classy lady. I'm an American and I'd bow to her. Then again I was taught manners and I'm a Southern Country Boy at hard who went barefoot as much as I could, accept in church or formal places.
