- A rare December trip to the Tent because there is still no snow. Zach and I and his dog Kenna spend some time together and explore some new areas. Taking a look at the now finished logging area. December at THE TENT.
Live in the Upper peninsula of Michigan now but I lived and worked in northern Minnesota back in the 80s and will always consider it my second home. Had some of the best times in my life and met some of the nicest most friendly people ever. God bless the north woods and all of the amazing people that call it home.

We are in the same situation her in New Hampshire. Have gotten barely any snow yet. The White Mountains have gotten some but usually we have a couple inches of snow on the ground. It's going to be 60 and raining tomorrow lol.
I'm in central British Columbia and we barely have any as well. Had one fall of about 4 inches, it's been raining for 2 days so it's almost all gone. +5 Celsius today.
We’ve had accumulating snow here in Northeast Vt. the last 3 weekends. 6”-10” each time but it warms up enough to melt some each week. 6” on the ground today but 60’s and heavy rain expected Monday.

Joe, did they leave those mature trees to naturally reforest that cut or will they replant like they do here in the SE U.S.?
they left the trees because pine and there musty be no local mills buying pine
They leave them to reseed and also it is part of the restoration of the forests to what it was before logging in the early 1900's. They often come in and plant white pine as well. Scott is incorrect, the mills do take pine all the time up here.

I hope your scouting turns into success for next years hunts. I know these " camps" offer a chance to catch up with everyone and tell old "war stories"(hunting adventures). But I think most of you all would like to actually see deer and get a chance to kill some. I know it has been frustrating for you all. I watch a group of channels out of Oklahoma and every year it seems like everyone of those channels gets a multi-point buck and multiple does.
Have you guys talked to the game wardens in your area about using wolf sounds to run them off and also is the logging done in the area??
