fall is here, and winter is right around the corner. this video we went out camping for an evening. the temp dropped down to 22 degrees, but we stayed warm inside the tent.
Zach... As a dad, who's your dad's age, you are one hell of a dad, IMO. She will ALWAYS remember these times, and maybe share the memories or even make memories like these with her kids someday. Good job, man.

You have given an excellent example of how to go camping with young children. It's mostly about making sure they are comfortable and entertained doing things that they enjoy (as you have demonstrated nicely.) Thanks for the tip about putting blankets over a tent to retain heat. BTW, as an experienced stovetop popcorn chef, making Jiffy Pop without burning requires a lot of (almost continuous) shaking. I've found that bouncing the curved end of the wire handle between my thumb and index finger to be an easy way to do it without too much fatigue. It's also good to put the burner on a low setting as soon as you hear the oil begin to sizzle. I'd get a few packages of it and practice at home. With a little practice you are sure to become a SPACE POPCORN wizard! Thanks for the video !
Hey Bud, love the videos. The time you spend with Rose, wow...cant replace it and it will mean so much for her, you will never know. I did alot of solo adventures with my Daughter and I still do. We are best friends, its an amazing relationship. All started with a stroller on the bank while I fished, and let momma sleep in. Got to give momma that down time, and trust me you will enjoy the time with Rose more than you can ever imagine.
Rose will always remember these times with Dad. Not to mention hubby giving Mom time to herself. So many fond memories camping Dad would come home on Friday night car was packed to go and we'd camp until Sunday and of course 2 weeks every summer then again in the fall and sometimes in the winter Blessings to you and your family. 😊🇺🇲.
Rose is the sweetest, and camping with your kids is the best. And making great memories she will never forget. I camped a lot when I was a kid. We would basically live out at the campsites during the summer. We had a river and a lot of cousins to play with. It’s a great memory I’ll never forget.
Harbor freight products usually work pretty well, I have quite a few of their products, including a generator which I haven't had to service yet. Yes this includes power tools and power products and general tools I needed. Good purchase Zach

Zach i have started putting a pyramid shaped rock into the middle of my fires and builing the sticks around the stone . I find i have no smoke that way . Impressive camp . And great fun for the kids

It gives her time to relax and do some things she may not have the time to do otherwise. I had been wondering why she never goes with you two camping, I completely understand now.
Maybe you had the burner up too high when you made the popcorn. But you were definitely supposed to shake it around while it was cooking. I've never seen Jiffypop catch on fire like that before.
When those kernels explode, they scatter the others everywhere. You have to continuously shake the pan so the unpopped kernels stay in contact with the hot surface of the pan bottom. Once popping slows to 1 to 2 seconds between pops, time to remove it.
Those mini power generators/battery banks has changed camping forever. Really no need to do without. I am not a big camper myself but for those like yourself and your dad it is ideal. Especially during "Duck Camp". They are still pricey but as they become more popular pricing should be more affordable. A lot of youtube channels that are striking out on new homesteads they have allowed them a lot of "creature comforts".

I can't afford a truck with today's prices. Also, I like showing the van or car on these camping trips to help end the assumption that you can only do outdoor activities with a truck.
