@@abner20bushi no and that's the charm of it we don't know thus it should stay like that because what happens if bethesda fuck it up that would ruin akavir
I wish they'd have given us a Skyrim DLC where we travel to Atmora, it could've easily been the setting for the Dragonborn DLC. Start it off as an expedition to research a recent event near/on the island - a huge ball of light seen for miles, magical in nature. Helps explain why all of the sudden life can exist on Atmora again after hundreds of years.
It's not 'official', but there is always Beyond Skyrim Atmora. A very professionally done community expansion coming out eventually that will let you explore the area and find out what became of old society there. We don't know a lot about it but it's very exciting. As for DLCs I happily would have kept buying more, I love Skyrim and I didn't know I'd be playing it for over 8 years.
@@FortressLordJP193 - I'll be sure to keep an eye on that. I'm playing Enderall again atm, thankfully it's got it's own Steam page now so I can play both anytime I want.
It would be awesome to altmora even if it is a frozen wasteland. Maybe we could get lucky to see falmer that hid from the Nord purge and decided to make a settlement there, again I’m being too hopeful.
Great Lore video on explaining Atmora! This and other video about Atmora are getting me so hyped for the Skyrim SE Expedition to Atmora mod that is coming soon by the Beyond Skyrim mod development team, and I hope you are just as hyped as I am for when it releases!
How have I never seen any of your videos till now? literally just before I was going to switch off and go to bed, glad I decided to watch one last video. Keep up the great work, this was an amazing lore video!
I had no idea Tiber Septim came from Atmora! Did you find anything about dragons and Atmora during your research? I wonder what became of those ships of dead bodies that landed on Skyrim's shores... Thank you for your list of sources, the Pocket Guide is super fun to read. Super happy you made an Atmora video, great art as always
old comment but its highly unlikely that there were dragons from atmora because we know they originated in akavir also the origins of tiber septim is unknown he couldve been born in skyrim the underking says he's from high rock which make the most sense and obviously there is the tales of him coming from atmora which unfortunately doesnt have a lot to back it up
It's up for debate if he actually was. The Nords believed Talos Stormcrown to from Atmora but a of history texts say otherwise. Some claim he was a Breton Hjalti Early-Beard, who later changed his name. As he did later to Tiber Septem. Some believe that his feats and him being Ysmir was actually Wulfharth's Dragonborn powers that Tiber Septem claimed so he seemed more mythical for when he became Emperor.
I was so impressed watching this video and decided to watch half a dozen more. :) I'm 3 videos in and just have to say that you have an exceptional speaking voice, obviously know the source material intimately and have impeccable taste in choosing art that maximizes your presentation. Bravo!

You have no idea how excited I get when I see you've made a new video. A question popped into my head today while I was enjoying this one. The question is why are your videos so enjoyable? Is it the combination of beautiful artwork, melodic music, amazing voice talent, and the awesomeness that is Elder Scrolls lore? Or is it just because I'm a huge nerd?...
@@The_Hero74_ Lul all the games were good in their own right. Oblivion’s my favourite next to morrowind and daggerfall but they all had their own good qualities

Tiber Septim was actually more likely from High Rock, not Atmora. The guy who wrote both the Imperial "orthodoxy" of Talos (where he came from Atmora) and the Arcturian Heresy (where Talos is three men) seems to consider the latter the "canon" version of events (he's also called Tiber Septim a Breton a few times), and there's a quest in Skyrim that indicates the Arcturian Heresy to be true as well
Could you do a lore video on the Arch Mage Shalidor? To me, he is one of the most interesting characters in the Elder scrolls. His mastery of Magic, especially because he's a Nord and not a type of Mer. His lifespan is also to note, again because he is a man and not a mer.

What are the theories surrounding the Snow Elven attack of Sarthal? I've heard Fudgemuppet state a bunch of theories like "The Elves were just jealous of Sarthal" or "The Nords discovered the Eye of Magnus and the Elves hungered for it's power/thought the humans would cause catastrophic destruction with the Eye". The Lady of Scrolls says that the large amount of immigrants from Atmora scared the Snow Elves into thinking that if they allowed any more humans to arrive, their province would be overrun and the Snow Elves usurped. How many theories are there (no, I'm not counting Michael Kirkbride's lore as we don't know the status of his writings)?
So I always was hoping that atmora would be a lot like Iceland.... and before it became inhospitable, it was a perfect mix of ice caps, flatlands, lakes, valleys, and mountains in Iceland, and since BGS is using scanning tech now to scan in actual real world locations, we could have a really unique landscape going on there. If you haven’t seen Iceland before you guys should definitely look it up, it’s absolutely stunning, there are a lot of great 4K beauty shots here on YT, if you watch it you’ll see how much it screams “forgotten fantasy land”

I think who ever is the main guy behind TES lore is into the whole Siberian theory. More and more info comes out every year that humans might have originated in Siberia because of the age of bodies and human evidences being found either way it certainly wasn't Africa and if it was africa then there was 3 separate waves of migration which would lead to people thinking some are superior or more evolved than others which in this day and age we cant have. The time line no longer makes sence with what's been found for the out of africa theory to work. It's only pushed for PC reasons. No one talks about the stone houses found around Russia that predate any known human dwelling beyond caves. Why?
Atmora while seeing the threat of cyradil initiated the "safe cabin " program where they would build huge underground villages, this huge task was taken over by the chest-teck company where they built 122 of these villages , just unknown to the atmorians ,most of these villages were testing sites to create the perfect man for a group called the enduclave
