I have two teenage sons and one daughter. And like you around that age especially I felt a disconnect with my older son. Looking back I think it was testosterone that was part of everyone's moodiness. My suggestion, is to have the whole family do a love language quiz! They are so quick and easy and fun if you keep it light. I found that my oldest son has a different love language than me and my second son, it's really been helpful!❤️

Your beautiful, I'm a mom of two boys too. I always did the best for my boys. My youngest son always felt I loved my oldest more, I never loved one more than the other. I was really confused. This still continues , my youngest doesn't like me, it hurts. As far as the fashion things go, I have tried to be fashionable but I noticed when I tried to wear the things others wear, they don't look good. They just aren't me. I do my own style and it works. I hope your teeth continue to get better!.

    Questions:
    1. What is a typical day for Shea? From morning to night.
    2. How do you pump out so much content, how do you go about planning and producing your content? How long does it take to film for one video? Kudos to you, you put out so much in a short amount of time!
    3. How do you balance your life with your marriage, kids, and work?
    4. Any date ideas that you can share that you have with your husband?
I’ve been a subscriber of yours for years and years!! Your life seems so organized and well planned, I’m fascinated!
By the way, thank you for being vulnerable and talking about your teeth. I have one similar problem that makes me very vulnerable as well and don’t like to share with anyone. I can’t imagine opening up about it with millions of people! 😭

Shea as a 62 year old lady I can say I really appreciate your honesty and vulnerability. You are evolving and changing as you get older. It is ALL part of the process of life. We all have these “what the hell?!” Moments where we wake up and look at ourselves and go what happened, where am I, how did I get here? (Now I have the Talking Heads song going thru my head.) That is normal! As for kids, each age has it’s own hurdles, perspectives, needs and challenges. You are just going thru one of those shifts now.
As for designer purses. Yeah they are nice and beautiful and all. But honestly, most of us are busy moms and grandmas and Amazon buys and tips and tricks are really MORE in touch with most all of our day to day lives. Besides, right now if we had an extra 3,000.00 we would probably have to put it on bills and groceries right now. So the purse thing is nice. But not practical or where your viewers are most likely at. As you said: It’s the little things and the people around you that matter most!
I remember when you were sweating it out and apprehensive about quitting your job and going to TH-cam full time. Look how far you have come! Keep up the good work, keeping it real and being your authentic you! Wishing you much love, happiness and peace! Be kind to yourself!❤🙏☮️

Shea, honestly knowing you have clutter makes you even more approachable than before. Plus no mom shame here. Boys go through these phases, and honestly aren’t always very cuddly. I have 2 teenage sons. From birth, my oldest who is 16 has always been a thinker and talker, but not a hugger. My youngest who is 14 still won’t go to bed without a hug. You have done a courageous thing, opening your life on TH-cam. We have no room to do anything but applaud you. You have a great channel with great content. You are always enjoyable to watch. Sharing the realness of motherhood is so appreciated! I feel like it’s one of the most taboo topics to talk about our insecurities as mothers and where we think we could improve that women get so much criticism from. Shea, that means you are maturing. I am a poor 73 yr old grandmother but I enjoy watching your Amazon videos. I get tickled when you do the out of style videos. You are a mom of boys ( my youngest daughter has 2boys) that are busy. You are busy , your husband is busy, life happens no matter who are. We go through cycles of life, we change and grow but sometimes we get in a rut and get comfortable. You hit on the truth though, your health, your family and loved ones is what really matters. We can wear the best of clothing, have the most beautiful appearance, but no love, it’s for nothing. I’ll can take it one step further, in my live, without God in my life, none of that means anything. If your life only evolves around beauty, expensive stuff etc, that’s sad. I see that you have grown and understand things differently now. I really admired that you stood against that designer that went crazy with the kids. You have a platform, you have followers and you can be a voice against selling children and child abuse. Hugs

Thank you, Shea. Thank you for being you and for being human. What a relief it is to know that you are not as put together as you appear--fashion-wise, home management-wise, parent-wise, etc. Neither am I! LOL. We are all imperfect beings living in an imperfect world. I'm 58 and have been watching your channel for the past four or five years. And even though I'm much older than you, I'm drawn to your spirit and fun and your genuine caring for people by sharing helpful and healthful information. I see so much of me in you! Your questioning, your being overwhelmed, your living a different life than what your TH-cam persona may suggest, your being hard on yourself. You question if you're a good Mom, especially to Paxton (sorry if I misspelled his name). I've done that many times too! My son is turning 40 this year, and we've had our ups and downs. He can get on my nerves like no one else, but he also can make me laugh like no one else. I know deep down I'm a good Mom, just like you know deep down you're a good Mom. Just keep in mind that this is how things are with P right now. Doesn't mean it's always going to be this way. If you haven't done so already, maybe read up on different personality types and that will help you. You'll learn to recognize yourself and recognize the people in your life and how best to interact with them. I also recommend prayer. As for the person who commented that you favor Hayes (again, sorry if I misspelled) over P, that person was extremely insensitive and rude. Their words are a great lesson for all of us to be kinder to each other, because we won't always know the story behind why people do what they do, nor do we need to. The fact that you are asking yourself some hard questions and voicing and facing your doubts and tough times shows that you're on the path to being a better you--for yourself and for your loved ones and for anyone who has the pleasure to interact with you. I think that is the ongoing journey of self-awareness that makes us all better people. That journey also changes our priorities. You're doing great! Try not to be so hard on yourself. You don't have to explain or justify anything to anybody. You just keep on being your great self! Take care. ❤

Really grateful for this video and for your transparency! I often think about how fashion influencers and people who build their brand off of having a perfect marriage/family must be silently suffering. Perfection isn’t real. And having to curate a perfect image for your livelihood HAS to be exhausting and frustrating. Only showing people the small fraction of your life that’s together when everything else is falling apart has to be demoralizing. And that’s why I’m so proud of you. We’re all normal. And if someone is upset because your life is more like theirs than not… oh well. You’re doing great!

Mom of 3 and mental health therapist here! Thanks for being so vulnerable! As far as your children go, I think that’s a very real struggle for lots of moms. It’s easy to relate more to one than the other(s). Your oldest is definitely at the age where he needs that independence, but, trust me, he will always need his mom! And it’s very normal for boys to bond more with their dads at that age. Just keep being the great mom that you are to both of your boys! I’m interested to know (maybe in your Q & A) what your birth order is? Oldest, middle, youngest, only child? If you’ve mentioned it before in other videos, it must have slipped by me. Believe it or not, your birth order can also greatly play a role in how you relate to your kids! Also, in your Q & A, can you share more about your family of origin? Your parents? Siblings? Growing up? Spill it, girl! Lol. I also highly recommend finding a great mental health therapist if you don’t have one that you can talk to on a regular basis about the stressful things in your life. A great therapist can help you immensely and make all the difference in the world!

The mom portion of this instantly made me cry because I’m a mom to two boys and I fear that everyday. Thank you for sharing the truth of what it’s like and feeling like you’re not doing a good job because moms need to hear and share how hard this is. I needed to hear someone else say it to not feel so alone. Thank you. ❤

sounds like you are maturing ! As we get older we realise that material things will give us temporary "happiness" but true joy and happiness comes from our relationships with our loved ones . No material possession can compare ! As for Vit D, sunshine , aluminium products , research supports exactly what you are doing in these areas. Bottom line: you are right on track !

Depends on the person. Just because someone likes material items doesn’t mean they’re immature. If someone lives in a multi-million dollar mansion with nice things, that means they’re not mature?? Everyone spends their money differently…houses, cars, handbags, vacations, etc. Everyone has their thing.

Shea, OMG! Watching you be so vulnerable during this video, makes me feel better? Let me explain. I’m 62 yrs old and suffer from depression, I have a 31 yr old daughter on a vent and feeding tube that is semi-comatose (due to Muscular Dystrophy) she needs 24 hr care and also needs to be turned at least every 3 hrs. Sometimes I can’t even take care of myself, and I feel like I’m not present mentally enough to take care of her. My husband works 12 hr days, but primarily she’s my responsibility. She’s our only child, and I feel such guilt, sitting down and sometimes wishing someone would come turn her. Lol I Love Her SO much, and wouldn’t EVER want it any other way, except to wish she were healthy. So hearing you talk about your children, it makes me sad that you would ever feel like a “Bad” Mom. We do ALL that we can for our children, but hearing you say that, makes me feel better knowing that even though our situations are different, there are women out there, that have the same struggles I have.
Love your Channel even more now. 🩷

That was adorable❤ As a mother of 3 boys-26,17, &14 I can tell u around age 9 it's like a alien has invaded their body. That pre-puberty phase has them wanting to be more independent from mom but it's a struggle cuz they're still young & they still need u. Plus the 1st born child tends to be more independent. Around age 16 they start to come around. They all went thru this time in their own unique way. I am jealous that even tho I put in the hard work 24/7/365 Dad walks in and it's like mom who? I definitely feel like an outsider a lot of the time, especially now that they're all older. But I have a special bond w each one, there all different and they still need & want me. Thanks 4 being real, I appreciate it!❤❤

As a mom whose kids are grown, I am truly happy that I got to raise them in a simpler time. Young moms today are under such pressure and everyone is judging them and telling them the right way to do things. I've found in life that we are closer to our kids at different times in their lives so don't worry you and Paxton will connect when the time is right. I noticed the same thing with my mom and my sisters and brother, we were all really close to her at different times in our lives, we all knew she loved us and would be there if we needed her. As for your house and your clothes, you said it, real life. We truely appreciate all your advice and I promise we understand. I could give a class on cleaning and organizing but you should see the desk piled up in front of me. Fashion, not so much, so I do like to watch your videos to get advice and I promise not to judge you if I were to see you out in a not so in style outfit. Just keep doing what you have been and try not to be so hard on yourself.

This helped me sooo much - boys developmentally need a mom until they hit 10 or so years of age and then at 11 or 12 they need to bond more with a dad figure. That’s the beginning of learning to navigate the world as a male. My son is now 23, just graduated college and leaving the country next week. There may come a time when your oldest and you bond better than you do with the younger. The most important thing is that you try to show them you love them.
