i saw Babcock at an outdoor event in Yorkville in 2018. I walked by and respectfully said hey coach how are you. He looked at me and laughed. He’s a bad guy.
I agree with you - he's a terrible guy - but I don't get how this shows that. Looking at you and laughing seems more strange than bad. Like, I'd think that a bad guy would grumble and say "Who wants to know?" Or something like that..

@@athomefitness3089 The way they handled the situation immediately afterwards was to cover it up'? No. They got rid of him immediately because Babcock hadn't learned from his experience in Toronto, and despite being a good coach (Stanley Cup, Olympic Gold, 20+ years coaching) who by many accounts knows the game and is well organized, has rather strange ideas about motivating players, building rapport and team unity. Once that strangeness reoccurred, Columbus management knew this was the old Mike, a mistake had been made, and they wanted him gone before he could do further damage.

very strange situation - still the most relevant day in the history of the C-bus blue jackets
Idk, the sweep of the lightning seems a bit higher up there
I think the Jackets were hoping Babcock was going to be like Torts. Torts grew and adapted, Babcock clearly showed he had not.
If the truth about Babcock were out years ago, Toronto would have never hired him. Detroit was too tight lipped.
They were Winning
@CP-kb1du True. He had a cup to his name and, yet, I think Babcock cost them at least another cup. That team was so talented.
Imagine taking this thumbnail back in time to his Detroit days- nobody would believe it’s real.
How about the person(s) that hired him? Shouldn’t they be held accountable?

what did he do in Toronto?
Abused players mentally. Google it-many sources and vids.
Finally this guy has been getting fired since I was a little kid
None of these players said they had a problem and they all commented.
Has anyone considered that it might be time to fire Jarmo Keklainen? Like his tenure has been very questionable...
If this isn't the end what would it take? Who would want that on their hands?

Babcock did shit like this in the past. He was told not to. He did it again.
Nice to see a 60 year old gets a second chance in the NHL, but, Mitchell Miller is still banished for what he did as a 13 year old.
