My main concern is with the propaganda missions being time sensitive. Ever since SE4 did away with the limit on tagged enemies, my favorite way to play is sneak around to different vantage points and get tags on all the baddies in an area before I start taking them out. It takes me a long time. I don't want a timer ticking down and rushing me.
Might as well play SE5 again if you want to play with those weapons. Cuz chances are that they’ll perform exactly the same as they do in SE5 along with the same attachments and all.
@@Jknight416 So if that weapon is already in one game it can’t be in any other? Might as well play the first Sniper Elite 4… or 3…. or V2. Hell, why not just play the first Call of Duty then. Weapons were already there.
Another comment I would make is about price. There are loads of negative comments on social media about the pricing. If you are a casual gamer who is not deep into the franchise like we are, then yeah maybe the price is a bit steep. But there are thousands of players who are hooked on Axis Invasion, me included, playing as either allied or axis sniper or both depending on the mood. The PVP element has significantly increased the number of hours people will play this game, it’s addictive and great fun despite the flaws. So before guys complain about the price, maybe have a think about how much value you are really getting out of this game through invasion. I spent NZD200 on SE5 all up inc. DLC, and at around 10,000 invasion games (allied & axis combined), all the survival missions and achieving platinum (I don’t play MP) that’s about 0.0013c per minute of gameplay. Do the maths and you will realize it’s an embarrassing amount of hours but seriously the value that invasion has delivered is excellent.
I don't think just because it's super replayable it should be more money. I mean by that logic would you be okay with paying say $200 for it or whatever the equivalent is for you?
GP Ultimate user here... Will play and wait for price drop before buying anything physical for both my PS5 and Xbox Series X. And yes, I love the Sniper Elite series from the beginning of time. Thank you, Brutal Barracuda!!! Seeya on the next videoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope they can make up for some of the SE5 gaffs by going back to more of the 4th game's features...but either way I'll be getting it because I'm a dedicated fan at this point. I'll pretty much try anything that's WWII themed lol.
My thinking about the 1st mission being so small is that they're going for a more Sniper Elite 3 style intro, where just like Tobruk, the first mission is an action-packed yet small tutorial map with one primary objective. If that's the case, that's fine, but I much prefer 4 and 5's approach of mission 1 having a small tutorial bit and then expanding into a full-fledged mission right after.
Sniper Elite are the only games I feel safe pre-ordering. Haven't been burned yet. If the day comes Rebellion released an unfinished buggy mess, I will stop.
Expect it'll go for me the same as SE5 did. Game is included in Game Pass, then buy the season 1 pass and the season 2 pass as they come up on the store. Be nice if there were technical improvements, but if it's just new content, that's fine enough.
Holding judgement until I play it; I started with 5, then 4 then 3, all good in their own ways BUT again we see the dismantling of a complete game into chunks to money grab ie the DLC BS... Pre-ordered the deluxe but if not enough has changed or improved to continue my interest it'll be cya Rebellion, thanks for the memories and not 1 more cent...
Cheers Barracuda for the Information , by the way I've just looked at the store price's for this game to see that the prices are €49.99 and €79.99 for us "Euro's" lol

3:48 every angle of the sight and gun is wrong. His head is looking downwards like he's using a telescope, the sight on the side and is angled in 1 direction, the gun is facing the other direction and the rifle stock is resting on his sternum. He's not hurting anyone but himself like that. 😂 No T-shirt for console owners sucks. Harry Hawker's 2nd name is actually Pemberton. Hawker is his nickname.
I was reasonably excited about it until I saw this video (despite the gaffe of the Dambusters mission being in DAYTIME !). Anyway, is there a reason Karl isn't in it ? Is it a character timeline issue ? Or just that the actor who plays Karl had another gig and wasn't available ?
The DLC thing is the same way they did it for SE5. My suggestion is to but the deluxe edition, it will work out cheaper in the long run than buying all separately. (unless you want to wait a few years for pricing discounts).
The K98 was one of the most popular rifles in SE5 and the M1911 was surely THE most popular pistol, i expect that is why they are now behind a paywall. So i wouldnt be surprised if the STG 44 turns up in season pass 2 🤣
@BrutalBarracuda I'll never understand why companies go and do stuff like this. I was going to purchase the deluxe edition, but I'm going to gamepass it first now. Just to make sure it's worth it.
Rebellion seems to be using Sniper Elite Resistance as a smart way to bridge the gap before Sniper Elite 6 1. Extending the Sniper Elite 5: Rebellion is creating a “Sniper Elite 5.5” reusing assets and delivering content until S.E.6 2. Introducing New Characters and Settings:** With the Harry Hawker spinoff, Rebellion is experimenting into another characters plot to have Allied perspectives during the WWII European campaign. This lets them keep the WWII setting but bring in fresh stories beyond Karl’s. This way, they can introduce new missions in places like Russia and/or (hopefully) Switzerland’s borders, where stealth is needed to avoid neutral Swiss and German/Italian patrols.
Small mission maps will be total bullsh!t for the cost. It'll be the end of me purchasing rebellion games, and because of this unknown factor, I will not be purchasing early. If they are hiding stuff. I fear it's because it's not good.
Just wondering is the ps4 and ps5 platform the same as sniper Elite 5,as if you buy the ps4 version, or ps5 version, you get the other version free to downlode,or do you have to buy both games separately, for each platform.
How can they have the universal standard German service rifle unavailable in the standard game?!? Are we not going to be able to pick up enemy weapons in this version?
I does not exclude itself, Kar98k also wasn't available from the start in SE5, it was only unlocked after completing an achievement, and it absolutely could be picked up. And I think it was like that almost always in SE games. In SE3 Karabiner 98 Kurz was behind the paywall even though they put it on the fricking COVER of the game.
I'm okay with smaller maps IF there is more to do within them. I love finding hidden letters, intel, etc. I miss finding hidden parts & playing cards from SE3. It would be so easy for the developers to include more of this. I love exploring every corner of every level, and find it annoying to climb my way up to the 3rd story of a building, only to find an empty room. Also, I wish they would add additional opportunities for trophies in each DLC release, giving you renewed reasons to play through each level.
Don’t forget the ERMA.36 SMG (famous for its baguette suppressor) appearing in the first seconds of the trailer. Could it be that it will become one of the base game SMGs (it was a DLC weapon back in SE5) alongside the MP40, the MAS-38 and the UD M42 plus some shotguns? If so, then it gives me a proper reason to preorder this game.
Steam would not let me buy 5 until very recently. On mission 3 and died a lot, might be ready for this when it arrives. Where is my &&&& Garand and Carcano? Regards

I bought the delux version and got a 10% discount as i bought it before 1 November. So buy it sooner to save some cash. The Machine gun in the first pack seems to be a Thompson M1 with a built-in integral silencer? The bottom rifle in the 3rd bundle could possibly be a soviet SVT?
