OK guys I get it loud and clear, I'm def going to start vlogging some more! :D Going to share some "day in the life" stuff, what I'm learning with family, where I'm traveling to and what I'm doing etc. Also I'm writing my next book right now so you guys will be on that journey with me too! PS for those asking, the posters are at jeffbethke.com/store and also you can get your first audiobook for FREE from me at audibletrial.com/bball1989. No pressure to pick mine :D
Something I've learned: I was dead set on a Christian college after high school. After finances didn't work out, I ended up at our community college...and not happy about it. This spring I just finished my first year of college, and walked out knowing what I wanted to major in: I will get my child development associates and then move on to getting my bachelors in elementary education. I wouldn't have known without going to the community college because I took a couple classes that had you actually out in the field teaching and learning how to create lesson plans and how to put them into action. Reflecting on this, I learned that God already has a plan, and if you ask for His will and His plan for your life, He will do what He needs to to make His plan happen. In this case, it involved not being able to afford a Christian college, forcing me to the college God wants me at. I never knew I would love school, and I do now. I never knew I was passionate about teaching, and definitely wouldn't have gone into the field without the help I received from God. God knows what He wants for us, and what would give us the best life. And if we ask for His will, we don't have to do anything but sit back and watch His plans mold us. I hope this made sense!! PS: you and your wife help me remember how absolutely loved I am by God :-)
*****: For me, being a father has shown me how much my sins sadden Our Father. Also, I found that as my kiddos got older, the things they do that grate on my nerves the most are the same that I tend to do myself. (How's that for The Spirit using all things for good!) ;)
I know your not doing all these videos for the sole purpose of making money but it sure looks that way like how you. Make money off ads, your store, iTunes, etc
You're absolutely right about our capacity to love. Never was it more apparent than when my second child, another little girl, was born in February. I always thought I'd have to spilt my love/heart for my girls to each have a part. But what I've learned is that my love for my first did not split for her sister; instead, my love has doubled. Both my girls get 100% of my heart and my love!! Congrats and God bless your family, Jeff!
As a father of three i have learned all three are very different, and love will only keep on growing. You will share in all the joy and pain, for the joy you want them to have more, for the pain you want to take it away.
I can completely relate. When my first born came into this world and made me a father it opened up a whole new level of understanding of our Heavenly Father and his nature. I understood his love, timing of things, saying no cause even tho it was something I wanted it wasn't always in my best interest. And like you said, there is nothing that my children have to do to earn my love, I love them anyway. That was the biggest eye opener for me.. Congratulations brother.
I thank you so much for doing what you do. I have a 10 year old beautiful daughter that was molested since 5. I was never part of her life except for child support because of immaturity and ignorance. I will never make that mistake again. Mom turned out to be a selfish money slave that gave our daughters innocence away for money. So lost for so long until almost giving up but my LOVE for my daughter kept me here. She is placed with me now by the court and still fighting but All Is Well. I asked for Our Fathers help at my lowest and was greeted with open Loving arms. I dedicate my life to him and his ways now fully. MS at 30 was a devastating blow to an already severely depressed kid but asking for help and talking with him and praying nightly with my daughter has shown so much good. I finally feel comfortable calling myself a man. Thank you again, you and your vision has helped me so much on my journey. I just recently found you and subscribed but the church and new outlook on life I have discovered with my "slow down" diagnosis has made me ready for life. No more tears, at least out of pain. Joy is a so much better reason for them.
I was just in awe of the amount of love I felt for my daughter when she was born. My mom always told me that feeling you get when you see your baby for the first time is what God feels for us. I never knew how intense it could be until I was in that moment. What I learned is how awesome it is to be a daddy of a baby girl. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to relate since I don't know anything about dresses or dolls, anything girly I'm clueless. I was kinda hoping for a boy because I was thinking "I'll teach him about guy stuff like sports, fishing, etc." Now when getting ready for church, or anything that requires her to dress up, I getting into picking the dress, the hair bands with the pretty bow or flower, down to the shoes and I'm loving every minute of it.
My husband and I had our son 2 years ago and now he's a happy excited toddler at age 2. I can honestly see God speaking to me through my son. Everyday is a new day and a new lesson. I love it! Now I know why God says that children are a blessing because they honestly are. If we take care of them as God intended us to, we learn very important things from our children. You will see what I mean :) Take care and God Bless!
Congrats on your baby! Yes, you will learn so much more about God now that you're a parent and it will deepen your relationship even more with our Abba. it's a never ending adventure and you will learn different things with each stage. Your library of wisdom will grow and as you teach your daughter about The Lord, the Spirit will enlighten you too. You'll see things in a new light. Blessings on your family!
Enjoy every moment! Remember every breath she takes! These are the times you will always treasure and you will share with her when she is older. Remember that God blessed you with her. This is the best title you will ever own. Being a blessed Dad!
I am welcoming another little boy in two months and my oldest just turned a year old 2 weeks ago. I am really struggling with the fear of not being able to love them the same even though I know I will. Also, being able to give them both the equal attention along with God and my husband. It's very easy to thank God every second when you have kids though. My boys are my world and I am forever thankful for them. Your daughter is beautiful.
I think this is the best video I've seen of your videos!I'm just gonna point out why I say that. The fact that you are now living in the presence and relying on God for your strength, Joy & whatever else, I believe God really loves that bc I've been reading a lot of scriptures about don't worry about tomorrow and just living in the presence. We as humans forget to do that & we tend to try to plan everything but the fact that you are learning that and sharing that with the world is awesome! Also you saying God is showing you his love thru your babyn the fact that we don't have to do anything to earn his love, he just loves us and there's nothing we can do to change that just to accept and embrace his love. I have also learned the very same things thru my kids so this video really touched my heart in many different ways. God has ways of showing us his love towards us so thank u so much for sharing this!
I'm watching this on 7/13 and just became a mom of twins on 7/9 and oh the many lessons I am learning about myself. With one in the room with me and one in NICU The Lord is definitely showing me a lot of how to depend on Him more.
First I want to say God Bless your little girl and yor family :) You are in for the time of your life! As a mother of 2 (girl, age 4 & boy, age 2), I have to say the most important thing I've learned is PATIENCE. They are both completely different and I never have a dull moment in the day, lol... Everyday is a learning experiece and everyday I wake up thanking God for the opportunity he gives me to grow and learn from these precious gifts he blessed me with. There will be days that you feel like you know exactly the next move your baby will make and then there are days you have no idea whats going on or why. Dont worry, when those days come God will be right there reminding you that you have nothing to worry about because everything is going to be just fine :) God bless Jeff!
Hahaha! Wait, I just have to say this. It's funny how Jeff can't control his hand gestures even if he's holding Kinsley :) LOL. Kinsley's like "Dad, Stop shaking me!" :DD
I just have been learning the beautiful joy of being a daddy to a little girl myself. I have thought of doing the writing thing to. Just thought I had more time to start it but baby Brynlee decided to come a little earlier than that. As I write this she is currently in NICU for being only 32 weeks. As far as the moments I can not agree with you more. If I were to want my plan I would have not seen how much God loves us and cares for us in the middle of this moment. Our story is like this Holly was put on bed rest due to not feeling well and had to take a test when that test was over they said get to the hospital now. We did while there she ended up having preeclampsia and HELP. I wasn't aware of how dangerous it was but once I saw people start to move with a little more urgency my daddy sense started to tingle and was feeling more and more helpless. A c section was performed and due to my wife's blood pressure reaching 210/190 I thank God she didn't have a stroke. I feel super blessed that mom and baby are still doing well.... more kinks to a "plan" the nicu here was too full for our baby so my wife hasn't seen baby for 3 days now because they transferred Brynlee to another hospital. Then I found out my g ma passed the next day via Facebook and it was on the same day as her birth. I don't know why I am sharing this but I just hope it will encourage you. Plans are funny and when you have them God will put you on the plan that is best for you even when you don't see it. I could put a cliché bible verse here but I feel that what God has shown to me in such a short time is that he is sovereign and perfect. And loves when you don't even see it. I hope you have a great week! Thanks for letting me vent :)
Jeff, I think I speak for most people here, just keep uploading. You're right that you haven't uploaded in a while, but as long as you continue to make more videos that allow you to teach others about life lessons that are God inspired, I don't think anyone is going to mind. God bless your daughter and the rest of your family, Jeff.
Hey Jeff, i'm glad to see you so happy! To answer your question yes! Do start this new vlog idea of yours it would be awesome. Keeping your family in pray man.
Being a mother has taught me just like you said, taking care of the babies (I have two little ones) IS THE PLAN. It breaks my heart when I see young people around our age having children and treating the babies like nothing special. God is so good and lord knows if he did not place these precious creatures into my life at the appointed time, I probably would not have sought The Lord.
What a great video. I remember a few years ago seeing one of your videos and I've been following you ever since. You are a wonderful child of god and have been blessed with a beautiful daughter to help grow and love. Thank you for taking YOUR time to share your story and life and thoughts with us it is truly wonderful. I hope you have a blessed day and I can't wait for the next video
Hehehehehehe I was gonna say the same thing, they actually don't discuss God too much. If you a Christian sometimes you just want brag about jesus or even share th good news with others.well u never know they might actually do that off camera with others, there's a lot of stuff we don't see in vlogs... lol I'm trying to find excuses but anyway check them out tho, you might like them!
So I am pretty much a year behind on this video. But you do have a long way to go. As she grows older, some things get easier and other things get harder. I am a single mother so I play mom and dad. Pretty much I do everything alone. So reading the word and finding time to pray without being tired is very difficult. For you guys, being a team is most important. Giving each other time to be alone with God while the other is tending to your daughter. I am sure by now you guys have figured that part out. For me, I have to find time throughout the day, while I am at work, while I'm driving, and extremely late at night because my daughter just refuses to sleep. She is a night owl like me. Lol. Be blessed both you of. I like seeing your videos.
I just found you and your videos and I just wanna say thank you. Thank you for taking the time to teach us something very important. These videos will change lives. So thank you.
Kingsley is so cute my heart nearly exploded out if happiness when I saw her! I think this whole vlogging concept is interesting and would love to watch those ☺️. God Bless
I wanted to ask you if you can pray for me and my husband we are going through a separation and need prayer to make sure that this is the right thing that God wants us to do I watch your channel for inspiration all the time
Have you guys tried a christian councilor? Call your local churches to see if they have any or if there is any they could recommend. Praying for you sister :)
"So they are no longer two but one. Let no man divide what God has put together.” Matthew 19:6. God doens't want separation because he already put you both together.
Yes! Jeff if you made vlogs I feel like it would be such an encouragement on a regular basis. Vlogs are so personal and it adds more to that 'community' feel that makes this channel great
Here's a daddy tip, place a new diaper under her before you begin to change her. Once you open the used diaper, you can clean her up and when you remove it the other diaper is already there to catch whatever may come. Lol, I hope this helps. My husband had a hard time in the beginning as well. Congrats on your beautiful baby and God bless you all.
Awesome! Really enjoying your videos as I change, nurse and sleep my first, 1-month old boy. Show me your fatherhood skills with DITL (Day in the Life) videos about family life, time, priorities and such...Thanks, Love your ministry.
Hi Jeff! Great video. Can you start vlogging on day to day problems? Like tell us about your day, life issues and how you faced them. We'd like to see your authentic feelings (fear, scared, nervous, anxious, happy, stressed, motivated, etc). Videos on marriage advice, general Christian life advice... Your opinion and advice on social issues. We young Christians struggle with perfectionism, mostly when we see how other Christians appear to have a problem-free, stress-free lif on tv or youtube, which can be discouraging. We all struggle and its nice to know other people are going through the same thing which is why im requesting that you vlog like this more often. The videos dont have to be fancy super edited videos either, so no pressure.
Amazing message, Yeah it would be interesting to watch you guys during your journey through life with your beautiful daughter Kinsley, all the best. God bless.
As a new stay at home mommy , I find it difficult to help in ministry as much as I used to. And I feel useless in serving my church and god , cause I'm so caught up with my son. I love him so much. But def feel sad about not being able to do as much in ministry along side my hubby.
Yes!! I would love to see you day to day because you inspire me sooo much! And I love to see your relationship with Alyssa because I am in a relationship and you guys are my example to follow!! Haha God bless your family!!!!
Hey! I think that blogging your day-by-day life with you and your family is a great idea, especially through this new journey of life. I also think that it gives us a more personal feel, even though I haven't ever met you... lol
I love this channel and I think it would be great to see you vlogging and sharing your daily life! I was just wondering, are there going to come more dating advice videos?
I'm mother of a two month old boy (George Aron Cunningham III) and I feel like I'm a kid with a new toy and no instructions. Any one else feel like that? Hey Jeff I have more of a problem with peeing when the diaper is off not pooping. Lol.
Fellow parent! I've got 4, and my youngest just hit 6 months after birth. 2:20 ***** Put a clean diaper *under* the baby and have a few wipes in your hand *before* removing the dirty one. That way, if she poops while you're taking the dirty one off, it doesn't make a mess on the changing table (then you have to clean it, her, *and* change her clothes if it ran...). Also, when removing the dirty diaper, immediately wipe off beneath her so that you can lay her down on the clean one (w/o soiling it), then clean the rest. Ashley Buck , since you have a boy, put a wipe over his ya' know so he doesn't spray you. I was scared I'd get sprayed and didn't change my son for a week after he was born, lol, but with that trick, it'll just get soaked into the wipe and diaper (the one you should have under him). This next tip is *very* important (for any who haven't figured it out yet): *never change a baby by standing/sitting/kneeling at the business end*. Always change from the side, space permitting. I'm sure you can guess why...
LOVE the vlogging idea :) This video is awesome! I just recently had my baby girl, about 11 weeks ago, so I totally know what you mean about learning to go with the flow, thank you for putting it into a better perspective! It can feel overwhelming as I am sure you and Alyssa have realized. Keep up the good work and I would love more videos about your thoughts as a new parent! Take care!!
We have 9 kids and hosted 10 exchange students - one of students said this to me after living with us "Love is Exponential" more kids more love:) Always enough
I appreciate your videos. You are gounded in God, so you be a great father. I didn't really understand God's grace until I had children. How could God keep forgiving over and over. Well, now I know as a father of 3.
Woah! Jeff, I sure miss you! hahas! :D would love to see blogs man, but your previous teaching videos really encouraged me when I was going through tough times. It was those times when I will rewatch your videos! hahas! I've been here since ... I think one of the first videos you posted man! I think it was the third!
Eclectic Media yes, raising and loving a child is, (although perhaps it shouldn't be, it should be the norm, but many men dont do it justice) fathering a child on the other hand is not
I love your videos...they are always awesome, also the new video style you mention would be nice if you share the word with us from time to time. Hi Alyssa and Kinsley...peace!
I think I would prefer your teaching videos and spoken word over vlog videos, but a balance of both would be nice. You do whatever is best for you and your family. Obviously having a little one around is going to change your priorities and time availability, and rightfully so. I watch all your videos and greatly appreciate your ministry through them.
Vlogs are fun. Seeing your family would be awesome and behind the scenes of the work you do. Your daughter is amazing congrats again. Mom of three here and yes love grows and it helps with the sleepless nights and when they poop on you. :P
Great video!
Thanks for sharing your walk. GOD bless you and your beautiful family.
Yessssss
Awesome!! I would definitely watch your vlogs!! (I like vlogs...... A lot.) I'm looking forward to everything you have in store for this channel!!
I'm up for watching those.
***** wait till shes a teen lol

she's soo beautiful!!
***** Lol she's complementing her, there's no reason to be angry about that :P
NEW VIDEO!!! Few reasons why being a dad is AWESOME.
AWESOME. He gives us a bigger capacity to love. Live in the present. Great message.

Vlog is perfect for you guys, and sharing with the World!
Congratulations on being a new dad! Happy for you guys! Beautiful child :)
God bless you all
Hey Jeff, i'm glad to see you so happy! To answer your question yes! Do start this new vlog idea of yours it would be awesome. Keeping your family in pray man.

Seeing you speak at winterfest this year was amazing! I've been a fan of you for a long time, meeting you was a dream come true ♥
Congrats! I pray you have a beautiful life with your family.
It seems almost impossible to find Christian vloggers these days. I would love it if you started vlogging.
Have you check out the Nive Nulls ? They're amazing IMO.
JaidaJustice3456 they're Christians? but they never discuss God so they're like any other vloggers
There is "Mama Natural" I like her.
You could watch AndyMetSonia :)
That thumbnail picture is greatness.
Kingsley is so cute my heart nearly exploded out if happiness when I saw her! I think this whole vlogging concept is interesting and would love to watch those ☺️. God Bless
PLEASE VLOG!!! That would be so amazing! We'd all love to see some of your everyday life, especially now with Kinsley in your life!
I think the vlog idea of your day-to-day sounds awesome!
God doesn't want divorce unless it's due to marital unfaithfulness
***** She didn't say divorce, she said seperation.
Nikki H what's the difference
"So they are no longer two but one. Let no man divide what God has put together.” Matthew 19:6.
God doens't want separation because he already put you both together.
VLOG YES! Love your messages and wisdom my man! I look up to you! Fellow Tacoma native!
Yes! Jeff if you made vlogs I feel like it would be such an encouragement on a regular basis. Vlogs are so personal and it adds more to that 'community' feel that makes this channel great
Enjoy this new season and yess Take us for the ride with vlogs!!
AWE SHES SO CUTE!!!
i didnt hear your whole message but congrats 2 u and yor wife. may god give u wisdom and strength in raising the child God has given u.
Amen, Brother! ABSOLUTELY DO THE VLOG thang! (In addition to or as a change of pace from the great teaching, insights and discussions!) Love it!
The way you were holding her at the beginning tho.I got scared! But nice video.Inspirational :D
so so so happy for you and your wife. WELCOME TO THE WORLD LITTLE BABY KINSLEY!
Good to see a new video! Thanks for the wonderful thoughts!
This is awesome thanks for sharing your thoughts. No I'm not a parent yet but can't wait!
I have learned so much from you I am glad God showed you to me, love ya you man god bless
Congrats on the addition to the family
I really love the heart of God analogy that you used. Makes you think, thanks so much for this video!
I can't wait to learn about all the parenting things! I will be a mom in 2 and a half months
Great to hear from you again, Jeff! :D
Yes!! I would love to see you day to day because you inspire me sooo much! And I love to see your relationship with Alyssa because I am in a relationship and you guys are my example to follow!! Haha God bless your family!!!!
Yes VLOG!
Please please vlog!! It would be so fun to see your amazing family together
Hey! I think that blogging your day-by-day life with you and your family is a great idea, especially through this new journey of life. I also think that it gives us a more personal feel, even though I haven't ever met you... lol
Congratulations, may God continue To Bless And Your Family
I love this channel and I think it would be great to see you vlogging and sharing your daily life! I was just wondering, are there going to come more dating advice videos?
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Jeff definitely do the vlogging! I will love to learn more about your family, your ministry and yourself... I'm excited!
Kinsley is adorable! So cute :)
Did y'all catch the new video? Any other parents out there? What are you learning? Appreciate you guys!
Take care!!
We have 9 kids and hosted 10 exchange students - one of students said this to me after living with us
"Love is Exponential" more kids more love:)
Always enough
So excited for you coming to creating fest! It in my home town now baby!
I appreciate your videos. You are gounded in God, so you be a great father. I didn't really understand God's grace until I had children. How could God keep forgiving over and over. Well, now I know as a father of 3.
I would love for any videos coming through! Keep it up!
Totally for the vlog idea!!! Kinsley is like sooo cute #priceless

Woah! Jeff, I sure miss you! hahas! :D would love to see blogs man, but your previous teaching videos really encouraged me when I was going through tough times. It was those times when I will rewatch your videos! hahas! I've been here since ... I think one of the first videos you posted man! I think it was the third!
Awesome insight Jeff! Thanks for sharing :)
I hope you will do vlog type videos! I'd love to more of your growing family!

OMG YOUR BABY GIRL IS SO ADORABLE
First of all, congrats on your beautiful baby girl! Secondly, you should totally do vlogs! I'd love to see more of you and your awesome family. :)
You nailed it, "live at the present moment" :D
Awww she's so adorable. Congratulations on being a father. I think vloging is a good idea.
kieba1995
Is being a father an accomplishment?
Eclectic Media
yes, raising and loving a child is, (although perhaps it shouldn't be, it should be the norm, but many men dont do it justice) fathering a child on the other hand is not
I love your videos...they are always awesome, also the new video style you mention would be nice if you share the word with us from time to time.
Would love If you do vlogs ..I think it would add another great element to your channel !! Ur baby is so adorable tho !! All the best
VLOGS
def going to it looks like fro people's response! :D
***** Just remember what your channel is about and don't stray to far away from that. Otherwise looking forward to vlogs.
Yess! You should vlog! You would be adding to the pool of a very few CHRISTIAN family vlogs
Please do vlogs! That would be awesome :)

There isn't anything greater a man can be called than Daddy!! I have an almost 8 month old baby girl and she is the most amazing little girl ever.
OMG Please vlog! That would be seriously awesome :)
Vlog and spoken poetry! Congrats on the kid! :)
Vlogs are fun. Seeing your family would be awesome and behind the scenes of the work you do. Your daughter is amazing congrats again. Mom of three here and yes love grows and it helps with the sleepless nights and when they poop on you. :P
We need more poems dude!!
