In different parts of Bangkok I've lived, when jok mu is available it is my staple breakfast. Now I live in Pak Kret and have to make my own. I'm going to try your pork balls; they look delicious. I also love to eat pla tong go (literally 'goldfish tails' because of their shape and color; they taste like beignets) with my jok mu when available or I'm not too lazy to make them. Thank you for sharing.

This looks great Chef Ramida! Thank you for the recipe! By the way, how is this different from Khao Tom? They look nearly identical.

Thank you! While Jok and Khao Tom look similar, Jok has a smoother texture and unique spices. To prepare Jok, grind the rice grains before boiling them. Give both a try and discover your preference! Happy cooking! 😊
