woo hoo ..doing this for a week (day off yesterday) and finally managed the whole 18 minutes. 10 minutes to begin (had to give up) and then 13 minutes on the last day to this one. Thought I would get to 14 minutes..but ..I finished it all albeit with bad form on the balance side of things. For the record I'm nearly 49, fat and have done no recreational exercise for years. I need this to gain energy so I can power through my day. Thank you Donna!

So proud of you 👍 I can hear your determination!! Keep going, keep showing up, be proud of what you are achieving and doing. Keep focusing on what your body can do and listen to what it’s telling you.
It’s good you took a day off, rest days are important x
Another week of fun and movement lies ahead, enjoy 😉💪🥰

This looks simple, but it is gloriously challenging. LOVE your workouts. I really feel like I can totally get my body back to awesome, toned & slender and I really like the resistance with the bar. I use to do pilates at a studio with all the equipment and my body loves Pilates. Eventually I do want to invest in the reformer & Cadillac, but for now this is just amazing - who knew you could get such an amazing workout with just the bar! I really appreciate your videos and your instructions are fabulous.

The pole is very hard on my neck...and shoulders BUT I LOVE IT. I believe my shoulders come forward to much and this should help reset them maybe. I will look for upper body mobility exercises. I did order a bar cushion and it should arrive on Friday. Thanks again and again.

Thank you for your message …. Firstly I love that you love your Pilates Bar . Try not to hold it too tight or push it down against your neck. Ideally the pole is resting across the top of your shoulders on your trapezius muscle rather than your neck.
Try to bring some back extension exercises into your weekly workout routine to help with posture and shoulder placement … this workout my be helpful … Click on the link below xx

I've been in a bit of a funk this last week and I haven't worked out since last week Monday. This was my first workout back, and I was like such a wobbly cat throughout the whole thing. You'd think being so wobbly would discourage me but it motivated me more than ever, so I'll keep coming back until I'm not so wobbly anymore!

I am simply loving your determination .. you are so right , the only way to improve is to be consistent and keep trying. You will 💯💯 notice positive changes with positive mindset patience and repeating the exercises.
I look forward to hearing about your progress x
      Enjoy the journey 😍

Hi, I feel like my bar weighs heavy on my shoulders. Should I loosen the straps? I’m 5 feet 5 inches. I’m not sure what number my straps should be on. The straps at the top that connects the band to the bar.

Hi … it’s difficult to comment as I don’t use bar changeable or adjustable straps . It shouldn’t feel heavy on your shoulders . It should feel challenging but not compromise your posture or feel uncomfortable on your spine . Hope this helps xx

Can someone tell me is it normal that this was hurting me in my upper arms from the position of the bar? I guess it’s just not something my body is used to but I want to make sure I’m not doing anything wrong

Hi … when you say upper arms.. do we mean biceps, front of your shoulders … I would expect you to feel these muscles … it may feel like pain but it’s the muscles 💪 working hard. Here’s to getting stronger together xx

    • @LiveURlifee8D

@@PilateswithDonnaFinnie I guess the front shoulder/chest area. I’m not used to holding my arms that far back in that position.

Is it me, or your house, or your camera? Is there anything horizontal? Is it a curved lens or a skewed housing.. in every video...

You're spotting the use of a wide angle action camera used for recording.

It’s the wide angle camera 😊
