Number 1 gave me deep sadness just thinking about it. I’m playing for the first time and I just made it to Ash Lake. Thankfully I have the Lord Vessel.
I picked the master key as my gift on my first playthrough and always thought the back door to blighttown was the normal path. I didnt understand for years why everyone thought it was hard beyond poison and frames til i did it "properly".
One reason to go to the depths regardless is to get the ember to get weapons to +10, unless you're going something like divine, magic, etc. And for the pyromancer if wanted. But both are just at the beginning.
Funny story behind Painted World of Ariamis: It literally only exists because the the devs really wanted to actually implement cut enemies. The well full of bonewheels kinda made me speculate they were put into catacombs last minute as difficulty curve to deter early players.

Yeah, keep it on the PS4 Blight town runs totally fine but depending on the build I just skip the whole level and sometimes I just skip it just because 😂
You can't skip the gargoyles forever. So, in my opinion, the Undead Parish had no business being on this list. Edit: You can skip the bonewheels in Ariamis if you just drop off the bridge behind the rotten dragon. Also, you can basically skip the cathedral in Anor Londo if you just do the stair jump after the bonfire. You still have to pass the ledge of hell, though.
If you skip Depths you miss large ember, not able to get weapons over +5 to +10 and beyond. But then if you are good at dark souls or get any black knight or other non standard weapon you don't need them.
Hold on, you have trouble with the asylum? I go back there as soon as I can with a +5 weapon. I usually take an +0 morning star for the bleed to kill the boss then parry the rest of the enemies for the slab, ring, and doll early. It's very nice having access to the ring and slab early especially.
Speaking of the painted world… you are not lying about being “stuck” there. I was stuck there for 2 days. Completely unprepared for that area. I had no moss at all and was constantly getting toxic. I think I was level 40 maybe 50. Enemies were hitting like a truck. Fuck bone wheels. I had to use a guide, it was one of the lowest points of the game for me. The great hollow is the lowest imo but the painted world is pretty close.
Disagree for Darkroot garden as you get an ember for a divine weapon there. Which you might need if you want to kill skeletons. Same with Depths as you need an ember from a first Butcher
Darkroot Garden can't be skipped either. You mention using the seal, but you have to go through it to use it. ALSO: You don't need the master key to get to the back entrance to Blighttown. Go from the Undead Parish, through Darkroot Garden to the Valley of the Drakes and you can reach it there without the key.
Good video dude! Keep going. :D Only one thing, I think you can't totally skip the undead parish because you actually need to ring the two bells of awakening to awake Frampt/Kathee. But correct me if I'm wrong.

@@traeirby I solo Platinumed Dark Souls and Bloodborne in 2021, and have been toying with the idea of doing the same for DS3. So, farming for Covenant items for the All Rings trophy. I finally got my 10 Pale Tongues, 10 Proofs and 30 Swordgrass for those rings!! But I still have to play 2x playthroughs for the NG+ cycles rings.
Then, I thought since I'm farming all Covenants, I'd be extra crazy and see if I can also get the All Sorceries, All Miracles and All Pyromancies within the next NG+ cycles so then I'll get my Platinum.
A heck of a lot of hard work offline, but we'll see if I'm good enough to actually do it! 😅
@@ladyfox6705 oh wow sweet! I wish you the best of luck 🤞 I don’t think I’ve ever got platinum on a fromsoftware game but I should try that lol what’s the easiest one to do it on? 😂
@@traeirby Thanks! I'll see how it goes, as farming offline is driving me nuts and a snore-fest XD
I have a friend who's soon playing for the first time, so we are thinking of doing co-op together (I'm a massive co-op noob lol.)
Haha, you know there's no 'easy' Platinum. For Dark Souls, I played the game a few times for other RP'ing experiences & trophies, so then I only had the Knight's Honour trophy left, so decided to make a new character and go for it. Played the game 2 1/2 x through on that character to get all the weapons, which took a while.
For Bloodborne, again I had played a few times, so just had the Yharnam Queen trophy to get. For that, you have to do the main story Chalices, including getting through the dreaded Defiled Chalice, which takes 1/2 your HP. All solo, it was really hard, but I got there as I can be quite stubborn lol.
@@ladyfox6705 wow I’m impressed! That takes some serious dedication ma’am 😂
The Fantastic clip at the end caught me so off guard 😭
You are the first person to mention that clip! 😂 it just popped into my head at the last minute to use it haha!
but as for me if i loss anasgt a hard enemy in game i lurning from my misstakes if i win i m like wers the nexst cuwlegen cuz a sinpuller enemy makes for a sinpuller win wer as a hard enemy makes for a hard fight to got a hard erngind win and aftder a hard fight with a hard enemy i m like ok that was qiet some sweetey work i did to win wers the exnst one like this see to me i do not give up simpuller like even if a loss to a sirnot boss in a game i will hav a ther go at that sam boss y cuz even if i loss to it if ive lurn from my misstake then the win is all the more sweetey wen i bet a hard fight with a hard fighting boss in a battel and if i win on my first go i wonk that wet i did work so every win i like wers the nexst cuwlegen wers my exst hard to got win my sweetey win thas wet the difnert bossis in dark souls are ther for thay keep one moitavdid to even if then loss try tel then figor how to got ther win ther hard fight win the sweetey win thay did so musth leveling up getering armor getering souls up gaerding even leveling up ther wopensis and ther won sateus to cuz then wen thay win its that musth sweeter thas wat makes a cuwlegen a good one and to be willing to take on say cuwlegen one has to all ways remenber that one is not going to win them all and even i thay loss if thay takeaway thing thing from ther loss its them lurning from ther misstakes thos prassging and betering them self both in game and as a player thas calld goting good hav a nices day

Lost Izalith is the biggest BS level. I hate that place and always farm the humanity to give it to the Fair Lady since the first time I went thru it.
I know the dev history of the level, how they were so time crunched and had great plans for it they couldnt complete so the level and Bed of Chaos just sucks balls.
But really. I get dev crunch and being out of time. But who TF thought MASSIVE DRAGON ASSES were a good idea?
Dude, I want 100% completely agree with everything You just said, the dragon asses are fucking ridiculous. The level sucks ass the boss is maybe my least favorite boss in any of these games, I would love for them to take the time to just redo the fucking level and patch that bitch in or something if that’s possible 😂 I do have to say something, though the dragon asses make me laugh
one more thing one shound not be a faerd fo asking for help or looking up things that may help one beter them self both in game and as a player its ok to look for things from thos in the dark souls comuitey like my self but if one ask and one gaves a natsir but the peroins how ask dos not like the natsir thay wer giveing ones anag its ther wonfallt for not liesting to wet one has to say first thas y even my self i my self think its more inpornot to beter your self both in game and as a player thas how you prassg and how you got good hav a nices day
Thank you for commenting, you have a nice day as well 😊
on a ther had thers new rondo to with its ghsot and the loney placsis wer you haf to let uot water to got down to the valley fo daksis but its not need in reliey game but its need laeter wen you got for the 4 rold soulsis wer as bliettonwen is wer the 2sd bell fo aweeking is at juts like howthe undaed paresih is wer the first bell fo aweeking is and ther both key to the dark souls games storey and if you wat to got to annor londo you haf to bet zens fordersis to cuz its key to the games storey so it to is not spikeaball hav a nices day
Very true, thanks for the feedback 😀
Screw the depths, boring and unnecessary area.
