- #PatriciaZarlingo pled guilty to aggravated murder, aggravated arson, and other charges in the 2023 Ohio house fire death of 16-year-old #ChassidyBroadstone. Zarlingo was sentenced to life in prison with parole eligibility after 35 years.

So the 16 year old girls Mom was engaged to this piece of craps ex, they had a child together and was in a dispute about child support. So she drove her new bf and a friend to the house and set it on fire at 2 am. The two older sisters got out but the poor 16 year old didn’t.
Pure evil.
If this society were halfway decent (which it isn't) she would get the DP. People commit these heinous acts against children and the sentences are never even close to strong enough. It pisses me off

No, the crime was reported pretty widely locally on the local Youngstown stations, including the manhunt for at least one of the suspects. The courtroom is likely pretty empty because she plead guilty at what was probably a pre trial status hearing. There would have been more people in attendance if she’d actually taken it to trial

Yes, because had she gone through a jury trial, surely they would have found her guilty and the judge clearly told her that he would have given the death penalty… by her pleading guilty she has the possibility of parole after serving 35 years.

She doesnt look remorseful and the only reason she is making this go as fast as possible is bc living in county jails is hell! All her pod buddies probably told her to do this so she can finally get out of county jail! Living in Marysville prison is like living in a lesbian summer camp! I been to Marysville prison sadly back in my drug days and that place is a cake walk! She will be a pink shirt as a violent offender and then will probably be transfered to the other womans prison in Dayton! BUT like i said ohio prisons are nothing! They all have fun there!! It like a lesbian collage campus lol She will learn nothing while shes there and she will get a gf to pass by time like most lifers do! She will roll out at 5am on friday and head her way down to Marysville! Ohio needs to make there womans prisons harder bc no ever learns there lesson there! That was my comment! She waved everything to hurry it all up to get out of there! You can tell shes happy to finally get out of there bc shes been sitting in county since this happen so almost 2 yrs ish! Them 2 yrs in county are gonna be the hardest 2 years compared to then next 33 yrs she will spend in Marysville prison!! Also would like to add if she took it to trial she might of gotten the death penalty and what she got was like a slap on the wrist to what she could of gotten! So im sure she was estatic that she made that plea deal! She probably felt like she was getting away with it kinda! The judge even said she deserves more time if it was up to him! So she thinks shes slick and pulled one over on everyone!! Hope that helps you understand the mindest of this criminal here in ohio justice system! Lol
@@NovemberRain007 He may have wanted to give her the death penalty and if it was his choice he would, but it’s not a Judge’s decision. In 2022 , the USSC ruled that Juries, (obviously if it’s a jury trial and not a bench trial) not Judges must decide whether someone gets the death penalty or not.(they found that it violated Amendment 6, Ohio was not affected by this as the Ohio Supreme Court ruled that their death penalty decisions remain unchanged). In Ohio , as this trial is In Ohio; the jury HAS TO recommend the death penalty. The Trial Judge then accesses the case independently. The Jury has to determine whether the person is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and whether an aggravating circumstance exists. The Jury must recommend it if they find the aggravating circumstances outweighs the mitigating factors. The Jury must be unanimous during the penalty phase and if not; it’s an automatic life sentence. Also, a Judge cannot impose a greater sentence than the Jury recommended.
