This is just amazing~ I remember, not that long ago, watching the pros make nougat. You heated your sugar syrup to one temperature, and your honey to a different temperature. And yet, you make it so much easier, not so complicated. This actually shows the highest use of the internet. One person who has figured out an easier way to do something can share it with the world! Amazing!

Just a couple questions,
When you added honey it looked very yellow like an egg yolk. Just wanted to be sure before I try it.
And lastly how stiff of meringue do we whip until ?

Yes, nuts must be baked first so they get more flavor. But you don't have to bake your nuts if you don't want to, it will be the same result in the end

@@CakeAcake_ Taste is waaay different if you don't roast your nuts, with this type of recipe at least. I made that mistake once. Nuts are the main ingredient here, without that roasted taste, you would not have a good 'turrón'. I made myself some yesterday, the 'jijona' one.
It would be no good without roasting the nuts, but I do get your point.

Jeg ved ikke om du bruger termometer. Jeg skriver at sukkerlagen skal koge op til 145 C prøv at nøjes med 140 C. Som regel er det sukkerlagen der er blevet for varm og så bliver det hårdt.

Hej Susanne, mange tak for svar. Jo, jeg bruger termometer. Konsistensen er heller ikke hård, men har ikke den "krumme" som du viser, med lange bløde tråde. Sukker blandingen kommer meget hurtigt op på 145 grader, slet ikke 9 minutter, mere omkring 3-5 minutter.
De fleste opskrifter udelader sukker i marengsen. Er der en grund til at du bruger sukker?
Det skal dog siges, at den smager fantastisk :-) Vh Claus @@CakeAcake_

You have to wrap it in an airtight bag and leave it out at room temperature and it can last for a month

You're welcome💗🤗 I've tried making it with licorice flavour. I already tried making one with licorice powder and one with licorice syrup, it worked well. So you either need to use flavored syrup or flavored powder. You can use freeze-dried berries that you crush before adding

I think your sugar syrup is getting too high in temperature. When you boil the sugar layer, it must be at medium heat so that the water does not evaporate too quickly. When the thermometer shows 140C, remove the sugar layer and stir it in. I hope it works out for you. Best regards from Susanne😄
