Bro our tribe is the only reason there is a hatchery and anyone gets to fish. In the treaty of 1855 is why we have hatcheries for subsistence fishing. Please learn history before making comments like this. @@stevendelp1995

Having taken the time to explore my lineage that extends both to a ancestor of the Mayflower original voyage to the North American continent and a Great Great Grandmother of the Iroquois Nation Nabnasset Tribe, I grew up knowing some of the "Indian" heritage but never was exposed to the customs and traditions until later in life. Our original settlers in Plymouth would have never survived the first winter in North America without the generosity and help from local "Indian" tribes providing much needed food, and hides and pelts for warmth. Additionally, some of best medicinal treatments of these early years were shared by the tribes with settlers that helped stave off infection and fever which were often killers of the settlers before there were battles and wars fought between us. There is room for everyone to fish and the chinook run the Icicle River because the tribes have put efforts into rebuilding the salmon population because of the damming of the Columbia River to produce water and electric resources to everyone's benefit. In Aaron's videos I have only seen him fish in his little corner of the river where Tribal Card Holders have a small piece of the river to fish. As I am writing this in June 2024, the open area to anglers of non-tribal heritage is expressly larger and all it takes for anyone fishing the Icicle River is a Fishing License, Fishing Gear, Access to Open Areas, some ability, and a little luck. Let's not sling mud in any direction and instead celebrate the blessings that are bestowed upon us all. and have a good fay of fishing!
