Really cool vid. I love the ice. Ever try a dry dropper rig? Pretty effective down lower. But I'm sure you've seen the size of the bugs in that area.

the Icicle is really nice water and the scenery is gorgeous...just wish the fish were a little bigger. They have to be in there, just gotta find 'em.

Nothing but tiny fish in the Icicle, that's what it is known for. Everything is stunted

@@mountainstomarshes8966 "Bigger" is a relative term, a 10 incher in the Icicle would be a trophy fish. They are in there, I know from experience, so don't try to tell me that there's "nothing but tiny fish in the Icicle". That's just what people say in order to keep other people away.

@@briankelly6113 cool story. You're right, no one else has ever fished Icicle Creek and it's a massive secret in a super hard to find area no where close to the most popular vacation town in WA.
10" isn't a big trout for a river as big as Icicle, which leads me to my original point...nothing but tiny fish in it.

@@mountainstomarshes8966 If you can't find anywhere to fish on the Icicle that isn't overfished by the hoards of tourists that frequent 11worth then you're not trying hard enough. A 10" trout is a big fish for the Icicle, maybe not for a river as big as the Icicle, but you said yourself that everything is stunted in the Icicle.
It's really weird because I have personally caught 10"ers, which brings me to my original point, they are in there if you know how/where to find them.
Not my fault that you don't...
Besides, where do you think those tiny fish come from? If you know anything about fish biology then you'd know that it takes fish of a certain maturity to breed and spawn those little buggers, they don't just drop outta the sky, ya know...

Is the Icicle Fly Fishing only ? I tried looking at the Regulations... My daughter lives in Seattle, I am from the East Coast.... So I would like to fish this place, no matter the size of the Fish.

You can bait fish there, the river is fantastic
