Dear God, I would be so nervous cutting into all that beautiful carbon fiber! Those hood latches look pretty flush though. I like how they're angled to match the angles of the hood scoop. Such a clean install!
So I bought these same mounting brackets for the hood pins on my gtst but they won’t sit flat, did you have to hammer down the lip where the faces sit to get them to sit right? And what did you do with the harness that runs through that support, just move it out of the way until you drilled the holes for the brackets?
@@Donnythelatemodeltech thank you and I will, measure many times as I only get one chance to cut. Btw that's a sick skyline 🔥. Video helped out a lot as well.

Awesome. Im glad to see a video of someone mounting with a bracket instead on the front bar. I will be mounting the same was. Thank you.
Thanks for checking out the video, hope it was interesting.
Can you post the measurements of the bracket placement. (How far from the hood support bar, and from the battery bar). Thank you.
@@timothyary634 message me on Instagram and ill take a bunch of pictures for you.
So did you end up just completely removing the stock hood latch and cable? I placed my order for the same hood for my R32 GTST yesterday. Thanks!
i'm about to install a set of these on my E36 M3, what size hole saws did you end up using?
great job on the install!! looks great!
Fire this is going to save my ass with my R33, just got my carbon fiber hood and latches that only way to get my hood all the way down.
🤘
Where did you find the brackets at? Needing to do this on my 90 GTR. I’ll be using this vid as my guide for the install, GREAT WORK!!

I wish I knew about these brackets before I did my quick latches on my r32.
Dang.
Excellent work, did you have to make new holes to attach the bracket to the radiator support panel using the two bolts?
Yes, sorry i didn't show, its was pretty straightforward.
Thanks man I appreciate it now I just need a skyline to do this 😂
Great video bro! 👍👍 I'm in the market for a hood for my R32 and maybe hood pins too.
Great video, and great craftsmanship
Most appreciated

Moved the harness , and I used a crescent wrench to bent the little lip on the core . The crescent wrench is nicer to the finish.
@@Donnythelatemodeltechthanks man!
Good Video :-) i want do the same on my BMW.
Well...here goes nothing on my seibon vs style cf hood on my 19' sti limited 😆 wish me luck. I have the 120-3100 model.
Take your time. Good luck!
