If you haven't played them, I highly recommend Xenoblade Chronicles 1,2,+3 as well as Octopath Traveler 1+2. All of them have great stories and a ton of things to do, really giving you the most bang for your buck
Yeah, I know this series is pretty amazing. I'd definitely include Xenoblade Chronicles if I were making an all-time best-games list, but this is a list for 2024, so I excluded it.
Everyone knows who they are and when they release. No one needs to know that FF Rebirth or Persona 3 Reload are coming out. There's no value in reviewing those. There is value in reviewing Trails and Unicorn Overlord; I played and completed Persona 3 Reload; Trails and Unicorn Overlord are better games.

Grandia 2 is one of my favourite JRPG of all time.
I guess popular franchises are just excluded entirely.
