Sometimes it is sad to see some games go unplayed.
and sometimes not
Poison control is only one I’ve played. It’s really fun!
I absolutely loved Poison Control,it was one of the first games I got for my PS4 at the time along with Sakura Wars,Dragon Star Varnir and Shenmue 3
I am currently playing Nostalgia for the first time and I am loving it
I’m currently playing Poison Control, and I LOVE it! It’s bizarre, but so fun to play!
Got the platinum, and it was awesome!
Erick.
My brother bought me Lost Odyssey after I had my near death experience.
I can listen to Lost Odyssey OST forever.
I played Omnimusha Tactics back in the day on the GBA. Pretty funny game gaining EXP was easy on some characters, while others took ages.
Well I did play Front Mission game. I always liked that type of game and I found it by searching for something specific.
Really happy you finally got around to Front Mission 1. That game has been on my watchlist for a while now. Now that I’ve seen this, I look forward to getting it eventually.
Now I hope you can get to playing Fell Seal. That’s another one I’ve been watching that I’m waiting for you to talk about. Hopefully sometime soon you can get to that one.
I played Onimusha tactics, beat it and played it as much as I could on my Game Boy Advance, I really loved it, it’s a good game ❤
My honorable mention is Mana Khemia 2. I haven't met another person offline who has ever played it.
Is there a functional English translation? I searched for one.
Hey i played the ps2 version...
@@yoelchris2596same lol,on ps2 as well, and that before i fully became emulation only user
@@Zero_Tester likewise, but i didnt play the Ulrika route at that time, i thought only Raze's route ia enough, turns out that ya need to complete both route to unlock true ending or something....
I just ordered that game! Can’t wait to play it.
I didn't know that Suikoden game existed, thanks for the heads up!
Happy to have played all 5 mainline Front Mission games with the first two on the switch and the rest on their respective consoles/ replayed on emulators. Really wish the series got more recognition as the combat system, wanzer customization, team management and strategies get more intricate with each title. Their stories are also easily digestable with 3 (for me) being the best.
Front mission needs more recognition, the 4th and 5th entries are awesome.
Seconded. FM4 is one of my favorites and I hear FM3 was good too, going to try the remake.
Mech games are only popular in Japan, but are very niche in West. Those kind games never will be popular in West (i dont count Armored Core 6, because is only popular because it's Fromsoft game, and AAA game with 100M$ budget).
@@nr2676 More's the pity. I know Gundam only found true success in Japan but not sure why some of the more down-to-earth stuff never caught on elsewhere. I dig giant robots, but others don't?
@@nr2676Mecha has big following in Asia as well,i literally found some newer generation fan that only interested to delve into FM series because he played and like Armored Core games(probably they only found out about AC during 2010s period),i tried recommending them the series(play the numbered titles)but sadly i think it doesn't interest them enough to play it,considering it was somewhat a niche series unlike AC that recently received popularity boost because Fromsoft success
@@WhiteFangofWari liked FM2 aesthetic,story tone and setting,but the 3 4 5 was better marginally.
Nostalgia was a sleeper hit for me when I played it!
"Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light" fits this. Game was never ported and quickly forgotten after selling decently. Really good game. I've actually never heard you talk about it either lol
It also laid the groundwork for the amazing Bravely Default series. I have a copy of 4 Heroes of Light and it's sitting on the shelf of all the other team asano games, i've still yet to get to it though cause of all my backlog.
Honestly the difficulty of that game is a bit ridiculous, like you can even die during the first minutes of the game so you should have made that clear
Rise of The Third Power needs more attention. It was made by the same people who made Ara Fell and they really stepped up their game. Then we could get another RPG from that studio.
Saw the thumbnail and wanted to write about poison control. Picked it up on an switch eShop sale for 4 bucks and definitely had a good time with it. Reminded me alot with Crystar but with 3rd person shooting instead of hack n slash combat. Definitely recommend people to give it a shot if you see it on sale 👌
I own, Played through, and beat Onimusha Tactics.
Good Ass game, nothing complicated, but does what it sets out to do quite well, even has a secret optional character.
Yeah,i didnt complete that optional dungeon,my sibling did longtime ago,i remembered it come with some additional scene in the ending if you got the secret character on your team
I've played nostalgia twice I love the game. It was my first game for the dsi on christmas
I actually played Nostalgia! I never beat it, but I did play it. I got pretty far, in fact. Its not good enough for me to want to go back to it, but its a solid game overall. (I played on emulator btw.)
I never played Genso Suikoden but I did play Tierkreis. I actually have played Suikoden 1, 3, 4, Tierkreis, and Tactics. Planning to play 2 once Suikoden 1+2 Remasters finally come out.
I think Infinite Space need some love as well, overall it was fine game with space opera setting
Man, you dig deep, never heard any of those, except front mission!
*I played the Suikoden game after you showed it off, but I have to play it again b/c there's more characters I didn't even know about that I didn't meet. The game was so good that it's actually a sin it's not ported to the ps store. I will also admit it was one of the games that made me cry...which is a short list. Sadly; b/c of what happened to CD Romance, it might be harder for others to find this game, so I'm happy I got it when you brought it up ages ago~**
I'm know you've mentioned these games in videos in the past, but for those that don't know. Please give Oninaki a chance, made by the team that did I Am Setsuna, the gameplay does get a bit repetitive with its hack&slash combat, but the story is more than worth it to give it a shot.
Also wanna mention The Caligula Effect 2, it honestly has one of the best combat systems imo.
Poison control, you love it, surprising, i do find it a good 70% game, but its also unique, meaning, one can love it indeed and it make sense.
Played Front Mission years ago via Emulation and Fan Translation. Glad i could buy it for the Switch . Was the reason i got PS 2 for FM 3 😅
Great list! I love your special mentions pan at the beginning of the video. Eternal Poison!!! Mind if is give a shout out to some? Although, I am not sure how niche they are.
Mary Skelter Finale - Great dungeon crawler with fun dungeon mechanics, multiple parties, and class changing. Just ignore the fan service weirdness.
Riviera: The Promised Land - A pretty unique little gem by Atlus, originally on the GBA. It's hard to describe. The combat is fun and challenging! It's a little like a point-and-click with turn based combat.
Lost Dimension - A tactics game with many characters that all have unique skill trees with many development options. You have to figure out who the "mole" is in each chapter and vote characters out.
Unchained Blades - Another dungeon crawler with a lot of character customization options. It's actually a bit like Labyrinth of Galleria because each character can have several captured monsters attached to them that randomly attack and defend in combat. The dungeons are a bit long, though.
Poison Control was on sale on EU Switch shop a few weeks ago. Got it and looking forward to play it :D
I'm currently playing two of these games (Nostalgia and Suikoden) and so far both are good
I love discovering obscure Jrpgs. That said, Poison Control looks interesting
I did play Nostalgia and this psp suikoden until finish, and it was a nice experience...
I had forgotten front mission was on my wishlist!!! Thank you for reminding me, gonna play it right now
Front Mission was just took straight from the old SNES Mechwarrior top down grid based strategy game, I've also heard before that Front Mission was originally meant to be a sequel to the SNES game but they couldn't get the Battle Tech/ Mechwarrior usage rights
I've frankly played 4 of those games and obviously they didn't have the nitroglycerin that I wanted
Nostalgia and FM1st I had my eye on for quite some time, but the other 3 I had missed, I'll check them out! pitty the DS/ 3DS stores are gone now though. Really gotta get to my retro games and see if theres downloads I want before I'll never have a chance to get it altogether.
Nostalgia should have had many more historical places to visit. Despite that, I've never finished the game, but love it's gameplay
I played Nostalgia after Heracles and also played the Genso Suikiden and I liked it~ I even played the other suikoden and liked it and now I saw poinson control and I might like it
So no one has nostalgia for nostalgia ?
How... ironic
I'm not familar with 3D-shooters, but the gameplay concept of "Poison Control" interests me. Will keep an eye on that one.
Still loving the Channel. I've been a subscribed for ages. But I just joined your Channel today. Your doing a great job mate. Keep it up.
Nice vid! I've wanted to play Poison Control for a while, actually. It looks like a pretty chill game😌
but you needed a youtuber to tell you what to play
Bought Nostalgia for my sibling, and purchased Onimusha Tactics on the Wii U: good list nonetheless.
I've played Nostalgia and Onimusha Tactics.
JRPG time I’ve played all these games except for Poison Control
Grand Knights History and Sol Trigger should be on the next list. If either got a Switch port id throw money at Nintendo.
Played Onimusha and Front Mission First. They were great
I remember playing suikoden english patch before, the text are messy though since they use google translate. Gonna find the twisted phoenix translation and start playing the game again
Why the hate for FFX-2? the story i know isn't amazing, but the combat system is literally in the top ten turn based combat system's ever made.
Maybe top 3. I even liked the story,
Congratulations on 100k 🎉
Somebody say "Nobody"
Kingdom Hearts Fans: 👀
Poison control and Onimusha Tatics i finish both.
FINALLY SOME NOSTALGIA LOVE
Congrats on 100k!
Next April fools we should send him as many copies of X-2
Once again I must bring up Black Sigil.
I played Nostalgia and Poison Control. Both were fun. Poison Control had its quirks but it wasn’t really anything egregious.
Eric I've been watching your videos for awhile youtube isnt showing me your videos i had to go to your channel to see if you uploaded.
In front mission you actualy can target specific bidy parts but you need to learn a skill to do that
Hahaha tengo 3 de 5 que jugué. Tengo que verificar Nostalgia y Poison Control, pero los otros si los pasé. Ya veo que fui de los pocos hahaha
As always great content!
I feel bad for people who slept on poison control
I did play several of this
I've played all of these.
This suikoden sounds a lot like dark chronicle!
there is no Rogue Galaxy,, such a great JRPG game but not got enough recognition
I would have liked you to mention Last Ranker for PSP since it is the last video game the creators of Breath of Fire made and no one talks about other video games that CRAPCOM forgot due to the fact of making shit like Copy+paste Dragon Age Origins from Dragon Dogma, and only live off franchises like Resident Evil, Monster Hunter and Street Fighter that they themselves forgot.
i played nostalgia
No, literally I’ve played them all except the Japanese one
I remember Omnimusha Tactics and i thought it was a rip off of Final Fantasy Tactics so didn’t played it
I liked Poison Control
the FFX2 SHADE lol
That intro xD
I played them all
Nostalgia doesn't properly deliver on its presence. A stylish romp through actual history would make for a nice dark plot but that's not the one we got. For the airship combat the devs could have taken inspiration from space sims or maybe come up with an FTL-style combat system. dunno i just feel like the game could have been much better
Front Mission is a worse version of Battletech. It's not bad per se but it lacks the tremendous variety and distinctive war machines found in battletech. At least the writing's good certainly much better then the mechwarrior games
All of these are the fault of the companies publishing them. Where was the marketing? How am I supposed to play a game if I never heard about it?
I'm glad I played Nostalgia, my bf found it in a small shop here in Hungary, and really liked it :) Yeah it's a little generic, but it's still a gem.
Arc rise fantasia excellent RPG
Day 837473828 of humbly requesting a jrpg / dating sim crossover game compilation video😭
Anybody else disappointed that My Riding Stables didn't make the list? It's clearly better than Final Fantasy X-2!
almost all of these games have gotten re-released on steam recently frontal mission and poisen control. they arnt that under appreciated
Nostalgia isn't really a great jrpg(it's good at best if not okay)the side quests of this game are not very good being basically boring fetch quests that don't really add anything and make you go back to areas you already visited, the airship combat is also a bit too simple and boring.
Overall it isn't a must play or anything like that but if don't know what other jrpg to play on the ds go ahead
Well, i am the "Nobody" then.
I played 4 of these games :)
Nobody played? I played nostalgia and onimusha tactics, and I knew a few people who had played now it would make more sense if the title said 5 great rpgs very few people played.
Nobody played? I played some of them. Some youtuber nowadays, make assumption based on imagination
Front Mission remake was such a cheap remake, its not beautiful at all.
You went from arguably some of the best sprite work of the 16 bit era to cheap photoshop filters for texture.
They'd be best of re skinning Front Mission 5 as one and it woulda been epic
Played and finished all of those
