    I'm not sure why people are leaving hateful comments on here DEMANDING that she teach you something. This is a free video for you to watch that she made on her own time. She doesn't have to do anything for you. It's not her job to teach you how to sew. Take it for what it is and if it's not enough info you can ask nicely, look elsewhere, or pay to take an actual sewing class.

    I bought this machine last year and actually got a little frustrated with it. I left it in the box in the closet FOR A YEAR! Now, with the coronavirus and needing to make masks, I thought I better figure out how to use this thing! So, I found your video and THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! With your guidance on how to use this machine, I whipped out 6 masks in just a couple of hours! Your video was SO HELPFUL!!

      Wow!!! I am so happy to help! I recently made a very basic mask tutorial and pondered using this machine in it because I wanted people to see that pretty much any sewing machine will work (even this little guy), but went with an old standard machine. Still a super basic machine. I'm happy to know yours worked for mask making!! (:

First-time sewing machine user and could NOT find a video or anything on Singer's site about this product and seem to only be catering toward the more expensive items (at least more expensive than this little handy machine). Thanks for a great video. Just worked it all out. It's not very robust and obviously would not sew buttons on garments, but for a fiver it really is worth persevering with. You can sew two thin items of cotton or join two pieces together accurately and very quickly without the need for painstaking and difficult needlework. I struggle with my eyesight now.

    Thank you so much. The guide was pretty informative, but I found myself struggling to find out if I had threaded the machine properly. Go me for not checking the original configuration of the thread before yanking it right on out to replace with black. Your demonstration worked great.

    • @VianneyCreates
      @VianneyCreates  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! One thing I like to do to not even have to rethread is to cut the original thread from the spool side...tie the new thread to the original thread end (where I just cut it). Then sew a bit on a scrap fabric or paper, and the new thread just gets pulled in!

      I'm sorry, maybe I don't understand. Just thread it through he needle, and pull about 6"...that would be enough for it not to undo when you go to make the first stitch. I hope that makes sense.

    The only issue I'm having with it is it keeps "jamming" randomly. I wish I could say "It's because the layers are too thick" but it does it even when that's not happening. Hi Vianney! Thank you so much for your video. When I first got my machine, I watched your video and it gave me enough info to start using it and it's been going great. I'm having an issue now all of a sudden and I can't seem to figure it out. The top stitch looks fine but underneath it just looks like a straight line with little loops, not like the top. Have you had this issue with your Sitch Sew Quick 2? I've called Singer already and googled many articles. Still can't seem to figure it out :( Any help would be much appreciated!

    • @VianneyCreates
      @VianneyCreates  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just saw your comment, that would be a problem with the tension. So, that little red knob on top that has like a spring under it is what you have to turn. Turn to tighten one way, try it out...if it's still doing that or it's worse...turn the knob the other way. I show the part I'm talking about at around 2:47.

    • @teddythepermabear

    Hi, I am having problems with the upper part of the needle on the inside. It doesn't move unless I move it up and down with my hand. The pressure foot works but it doesn't make the whole part that holds the needle move. Nothing is connected to that part so it won't sew and I can't find anything on that part of this machine so I'm unable to fix it. I just started playing around with sewing machines again and it's been a long time so I hope you can understand what part I'm talking about and help me. Thank you.

    Another good choice to get if you aren’t that good at sewing is... FLEX GLUE
    Slap that sticky Glue on anything you want and it’ll make sure it stays together!!
    Also for even more STRENGTH put FLEX TAPE on top of the glue!!!
    You know what just cover the entire project in FLEX SEAL!
    Make that project indestructible!!!

    Thank you! I recently bought one of these and I’m totally clueless on how to use it. I have some what of an idea now on how to use it but one question how to you thread the bottom bobbin??

    • @VianneyCreates
      @VianneyCreates  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, I so happy to help out some! I have not had to change out the bobbin, and that is a hard thing to explain in words. Usually, you just pop the empty one out and put the new one in, leaving a tail of the thread sticking out of the plate. As you hold onto that long thread sticking out, allow the needle to advance down into the presser plate and when it comes back up it should bring bobbin back up with it. Then let go of the string and pull it through the presser plate. I hope that makes sense. There are tons of videos on doing this on other machines, it's basically the same. I have a video on a "varmax" machine, which shows this.

    • @cbayon106
      @cbayon106 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The top thread goes into the bottom of the machine, gets looped around the bottom thread (from the bobbin), and then the top thread gets pulled back up. The bottom thread holds the stitches from the top thread down in the fabric. If you don't put the bottom thread in, you might get the loops from the top thread to stick in the fabric, but they'll pull right out.

    HELP....I just bought this for some very basic mending and to make a few masks for my family...my hand-stitching is not good at all (terrible actually). I had such high hopes. I read reviews and watched some videos but I'm having such issues. My Necchi machine is broken and no place to get it fixed right now due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
    My top thread keeps breaking regardless of the tension. If tension is "Medium" it doesn't pull from the bobbin beyond the tension apparatus. If I fix that, the thread still breaks and the under stitch knots up....I'm so frustrated. Anyone have any ideas?

    • @VianneyCreates
