Thank you for sharing that tip, Eye on Art. You are correct, as this is not an actual sewing machine, it cannot do all of the functions of a normal sewing machine.
I spent an hour wrestling with this thing. I’ve sewn for quite a while, and work with tools daily. The tensioner on this machine is a huge problem. It’s either too loose or too tight. This problem is exacerbated by the sharp, short angles necessary for such a compact design. I’ve got the machine to make a few nice stitches, usually the first 3-4 start fine, and then the thread pulls out of the needle, or I end up with a straight line of thread on top that pulls out of material with ease. I’ll probably work with it a little more today.
Hello Kate! The Stitch Quick does require some patience to learn how to use, but remember that it is not a sewing machine, but a mender. We hope that with practice you will start to enjoy your Stitch Quick!

Yes you can gather, just sew two lines of stitching close together with strong thread.. then pull the top thread of one of the stitch lines to gather the material. The reason you start with two lines of stitching is incase the first one breaks you have a back up. Most Tulle is super thin so you should be fine.

Hello Sonya - thank you for watching the video and your inquiry! The answer to your question is that it depends on what type of fabric you are trying to sew, and if the pocket can fit over the front of the machine. If it is a tight pocket then you will probably not be able to get the pocket over the front so that the stitching only happens on the front of the pocket. Hopefully that helps.... Shannon

Ummmm got to the part where you press the trigger button, and nothing happens. Batteries are in. Handheld position. Ready to go. Why would the trigger button do nothing as if it had no batteries? They’re in correctly. I checked. I had a similar thing happen with my food processor, and then I realized that the lid was on backward. What would cause a brand new handheld to just not work?
Hello Leslie! Hmm, the issue could be any number of things. If the needle is not inserted correctly the device will not sew. I have also been told that rechargeable batteries are not supported in this machine, but I have not personally tried them to test that. Also, you need all brand-new batteries. One customer put in all new batteries - the machine still would not work, and then she put in all new batteries again and it worked - there was an issue with one of the new batteries. So I would try resetting the needle and both thread bobbins, checking that all connections are correct, replace the batteries, and try again. Shannon

Hello again Krista! Our Sewing Tech did some more research on the thread weight to use with the Stitch Quick + and this is what she found: "I was wrong, it is actually 40/3 thread weight included with the pre-threaded bobbins of the SQ+. 40/2 is also acceptable to use as well as heavier weight threads such as 30/2" Sorry for the misinformation, and hope this helps!

Hello Zany - thank you for watching and for your inquiry! The Stitch Quick + only has one speed, however you can switch it from Desktop to Handheld mode, which will make the machine stop sewing when you release the lever, which might give you more control. Shannon
Hello Delmira - thank you for your inquiry! The price of the Stitch Quick + varies depending on which store you purchase it at, as they come in different colors and accessory combinations. You can also find it on Amazon! Shannon
Hi Kassandra! The port is strictly for the option to use an AC/DC adapter power cord (not included) to power the machine rather than operating on batteries. Using other cords could potentially damage the machine. Here's our instruction manual to help you navigate the device efficiently! dynollc.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/01774-41774-11774_-Stitch-Quick-Manual-_Reader-09-23-20.pdf
@@adassa1132 Here's the manual, which is about as helpful as the comment @Dyno Merchandise LLC posted above: dynollc.com/sewing/handheld-mending-machines/ TH-cam's logic is messing up the link being posted, so on that page at the bottom is a link to the manual. The manual basically says "using other cords could potentially damage the machine" but I have no idea what is meant by "other" because there is no official power supply. It is a 6v DC 1000mA positive center post connection. The only additional detail is that it is a 5mm diameter plug, no depth information, no post diameter information, not much to go on aside from using anything else could damage it. Standards around these things are all over the place, but the 5.5x2.1mm is pretty common. If the manufacturer gave a crap, they would give at least enough details for people to find what they need to purchase. I know the actual Singer Manufacturer wouldn't pull this crap, so maybe Dyno LLC should have their license to use their brand revoked.

Hello again Krista! Our Sewing Tech did some more research on the thread weight to use with the Stitch Quick + and this is what she found:
"I was wrong, it is actually 40/3 thread weight included with the pre-threaded bobbins of the SQ+. 40/2 is also acceptable to use as well as heavier weight threads such as 30/2"
Sorry for the misinformation, and hope this helps!

GREAT VIDEO! Through Amazon I bought this and the button got stuck so it wouldn’t turn on. I ordered a replacement device and Amazon message said it was delivered but it never was (and that is the first time I’ve ever had something “stolen” from my place. Well I ordered a third one and put in new rechargeable batteries and it’s not working… just like the first one! I think I need to contact singer directly because this is ridiculous… if anybody else has had a problem with theirs please let me know… thanks!
Hello! We are so sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the Stitch Quick you purchased, along with the replacement. If you would like to contact us as a reseller directly, please send an email to CustomerService@DynoLLC.com and we will help you out.
Thank you!
Shannon
If it helps, I thought mine was messed up too, and just realized I put the batteries in the opposite directions...
Mine won't work at all. Everything is correct on it including batteries yet nothing will work. I got mine from Walmart yesterday so it's going back! I've watched every video possible & again, nothing seems to be wrong. But won't work!
@@Ams_5590 sorry to hear about yours, that sucks. I ended up getting another one from another Amazon seller and it works. I even bought a large strip of Velcro to fasten it to a table which made it a lot easier for me to use.
My button is also “stuck” and not turning on.
Love your videos 📸👍🙂💯
Hello Lynn - thank you for watching - we are glad you like the videos! Happy Sewing!

Which zipper foot for singer can you use with this?
Hello Searching - I am still looking for a definitive answer on this, but the answer I have been getting is that the Stitch Quick is for light mending only, and so installing a zipper would be better done by an actual sewing machine. If I find a different or more definitive answer I will reply again to your comment.
Thanks!
Shannon
I'm assuming you wouldn't be able to reverse stitch?
Hello,
You are correct. There is no reverse stitching capability with these hand held mending machines.
I thought same thing.... Stitch will come out if no reverse stitches
Plastic matiryal ?
Hello Sonaila - thank you for viewing our video and for your inquiry! Yes, the Stitch Quick + is made out of durable plastic that is easily wiped clean. Hope this helps!

Can you adjust the speed on one ?
Hello Zany - thank you for watching and for your inquiry! The Stitch Quick + only has one speed, however you can switch it from Desktop to Handheld mode, which will make the machine stop sewing when you release the lever, which might give you more control.

Cute
Hello Aria - thank you for watching!
I want this
Hello Light - you should have it! If you do purchase this, please allow some time to get used to it - once people do that they end up loving it. :)
I’m actually excited to start stitching up a few things!
Hello Batman! We are excited that you are excited - were you able to do any mending as of yet?
Shannon
@@DynoMerchandise Yes, quite a few things for Halloween and charity events
@@batmanofsanantonio5331 That is awesome - thank you so much for letting us know!

Precio
Hello Delmira - thank you for your inquiry! The price of the Stitch Quick + varies depending on which store you purchase it at, as they come in different colors and accessory combinations. You can also find it on Amazon!

What size threads can I use with the Singer Stitch Quick+? I would like to sew using other colored threads.
Hello! You can use a Class 15 bobbin - there are multi-packs available on Amazon that contain all different colors.
Thank you!
Shannon
Hello do you know what size threads please I know the bobbin is 15 thank you
Also metal not plastic from what I understand. Ps the tension is difficult especially without the proper thread♡♡♡
There is an option for a cord. Is that for a power cord or for a pedal?
Cord, not included
Hi Kassandra! The port is strictly for the option to use an AC/DC adapter power cord (not included) to power the machine rather than operating on batteries. Using other cords could potentially damage the machine.
Here's our instruction manual to help you navigate the device efficiently!

@@DynoMerchandise web link doesn't work. It's says page not found.
@@adassa1132 Here's the manual, which is about as helpful as the comment @Dyno Merchandise LLC posted above:
dynollc.com/sewing/handheld-mending-machines/
TH-cam's logic is messing up the link being posted, so on that page at the bottom is a link to the manual.

Hello Ev - Thank you for your inquiry! The Stitch Quick + machine takes a Universal 90/14 needle.
Thank you for sharing!
Of course! Thank you for watching!
When did these come out? I went looking for something like this and all there was were expensive grandma sewing machines
I got mine at Walmart just a few weeks ago, it was pretty cost friendly too
Hi Paul,
We launched the Stitch Quick+ in July of 2020. It is currently available for purchase in select Walmart stores, Walmart.com, and Amazon.com. We hope this helps!
Walmart 20$ !! I love mine for Junk journaling
Grandma is not the only one sewing, genius...
