I was looking at getting a Pub for home. However, for $4,000 U.S., it has a vibratory pump. So I had to go elsewhere. And La Pavoni is right up there with the best in the world.
I have the New Botticelli Speciality. I hope, that I can buy just the wooden portafilter, and those wooden knobs . One question, as i mentioned, i have the New Botticelli Speciality, is it compatible with any 58mm portafilter? Because the tamper that is got with the machine, is not big enough for the basket... The La Pavoni should make a bigger drip tray, the one with the machine is too short. I cant really place my Acia Lunar under the portafilter.
Yeh, It will be compatible with most 58mm portafilters. The Tampers are always on the small size. If you really want a precision fit, try Pullman Bigstep tampers. They are 58.55mm and I find it has the best fit.
I have the newer model Botticelli Specialty with the levers, lovey machine. Two improvements you could make 1) the pump button the lever presses in, it’s metal and metal and right from new you wear through the chrome plating and it gets an ugly deep scratch. A Teflon or plastic cap on the pump trigger button would avoid this. 2) the cup tray rail is loose as, the clips barely hold it and it never stays in place. But a great machine and I love it.
Beautiful thank you for listening to your customers.. Handles are also great for people with wrist issues or arthritis. Nit everyone is 20 working in espresso shops. Ryde that was an excellent interview without excessive interruption. SO many times people want to hear themselves blabber. I have a question. How does one empty the broiler? Is there a screw on the bottom to release the water for easy emptying and transport? Will they come in different colors in the future? Thank you.
Thank you! 🙏 It's pretty easy to drain the boiler, you only need to turn the water tap on full and raise the lever on the brew head until it's empty. Then it's good to transport 👌
Apart from the upgrade to stainless steel top surround from plastic (and La Pavoni badge moving to the tray instead of the machine body) is anything else that is upgraded from the old Cellini Classic?
I have had the Cellini Mini for a month now. It's a single boiler, no HX. It has a mechanical thermostat which in my machine was set to low in temperature, i.e. around 85 C. Had to get it to service and now it's ok, around 93 C, but have to temperature surf to get it there. Bought a Coffee Sensor thermometer connected to the brew group head, which is necessary to get the correct temperature. You use the manual pump switch to fill the boiler after you finish steaming the milk.
Over 100 year old company and the machines are also stuck in the past, the only la pavoni ppl know about in Europe is the lever la pavoni, but the rest is nothing to write home about sadly. I'm still waiting for the espresso machine that truly takes espresso making into the 21st century
I really want to know what La Pavoni was smoking when they made 0,8L single boiler machine. It takes 5 minutes to raise temp from 90c to 130c because of this decision. Who does it serve to have 0,8L boiler?
Humm at least 10years late .. they should have stick to their lever machine and just making them nice quality ; stainless steel base and boiler , 58 mm group head , temperature stable .. just my 2 cents
Interesting video. I have to say i doubt that these machines will sell well, because they are just late to the party. I cannot image a big demand for E61 group machines with pid and flow control anymore, because other brands like lelit, ecm and profitec have saturated the market in the last few years quite a lot. So a little sad to see that there are no innovations in the La Pavoni product line. I would love to see a modern lever machine made by La Pavoni, maybe a new version of the notorious old Pavoni lever machines, equipped with modern features like a pid control, solenoid valves, etc. - this would really be interesting to see. And there is a hype on lever machines anyway at the moment, so it would be the perfect time for such a machine. I like the detachable spout for the portafilter. Just like La Marzocco has done it, but the screwable insert seems to be stainless steel or chrome plated brass here, right?
Great improvements, glad to see that customers opinions were considered. Great interview with a delicious reward at the end ☕️
Thanks! Yes, drinking out of the crystal was amazing!
Those look really nice! Hope they distribute them in the US
Yes, I think they will!
That duel spout attachment is super cool.
Yeh I have one and it's so handy to switch between the two and everyone comments on the style! 👌

Wait, is the broiler on or off when you empty it?
@@rxonmymind8362 sorry, its off. Oh and make sure you remove any water reservoir first otherwise it will keep filling the boiler 🤣
@@Rydecoffeecoach Thank you.

What about the Esperto line of lever machines?
Great video - thanks! Is the Cellini Mini a single boiler heat exhange model (or no heat exchange)? Also, when would one use the manual pump switch?

Will there be a US version ?
Yes I believe so. 👌

Any idea of release date in Australia?
I believe a few of the models are out: Cellini mini and Botticelli, but I haven't heard about the special kits being available yet. 😢 Hopefully soon!

Yeh agreed. That's too small.
hello. What kind of microphone is this?
Comica HRM-S interview mic. They have a wireless one too. Very good and cheap!
I never hear anything about La Pavoni. Is this the same company? I was expecting to see La Pavoni Lever Machines.
Yeh same company, there's a video on the lever machine here th-cam.com/video/EPxIfGLQlfs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=hcVfzIOHyUD8p8ca
