I first heard her around 16 years ago and just fell in love with her singing. I've never understood why she isn't more known but I guess just like fine cuisine isn't what the masses consume, it's junk food, just like some of these pop singers are junk. As Neil Diamond said, whenever he writes a song, the melody usually comes first before the lyrics. The only difference is that Lara's voice is MUCH darker and heavier. Celine's voice is light as a feather compared to Lara's. Celine is more agile too but I think they're pretty close to equal in skill.
