The US Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall recently took a ride in the world's first AI-controlled F-16 fighter jet. Washington is working to combine machine learning and artificial intelligence to create the world's first AI enabled fighter jets. While America's F-16 jets are traditionally flown by human pilots, the new technology would allow these jets to be operated by AI tech. America is reportedly the first country to possess this new-age technology, with its rivals expected to follow suit. However, in a world that is fast becoming heavily reliant on the use of AI- will its use by governments to gain a technological advantage turn out to be a wise choice, or will it be the beginning of a dangerous new arms race? Palki Sharma brings you a report.

Remember the Star Trek episode ( original) where the governments of a planet only fight wars in a computer and whatever the loss was to soldiers , that many people had to be killed?
I knew this coming when i play video games against a.i i know someone can develop and use it in real world
They first trained this AI through simulations, flying and fighting against real humans using the same simulation so it can learn. They put that same AI that learned in the simulations into a F16 to study its results. Over time it's been improving even almost winning against a very experienced pilot who had 2000-3000 hours of flight experience of a F16. I know it needs more improvements but almost winning in a dog fight against a very experienced pilot shows this AI can be capable.
The movie Stealth proved, Ai is all good until it becomes self aware and demands the right to autonomy.
Also it's been widely accepted among software engineers that no machine is immune to hacking.
You really need to understand what self awareness / consciousness is all about. You need biological life to hard even the slightest tinge of consciousness. The only time AI can be self aware is when they begin to do transhumanism and find a way of putting spirits into AI.
Back fires to missiles fighter that can early detect the coming missiles and fired towards it to dispose it on the way towards fighter or land targets or any water vessel.. today it is very easy to achieve this technology quickly..
