Thank you so much for this video, Dr. Gary! My son’s science fair petri dishes didn’t turn out how wanted. This video taught us transfer the bacteria so we can use the microscope in his presentation! Gold medal here we come!
Amateur question here. I want to prepare a sample of some tissue from a pimple (puss, blood white blood cells etc.) Can I use this method to prepare a slide for obvervation? If so, what exactly is the purpose of letting the sample dry out as to observing it when still wet? Thank you
@@pequodexpress okay thanks, its just that i have a exam for one hour and i dont want to waste 5-10 minutes waiting for the slide to dry. When i spoke to my teacher he said not to blow as i might contaminate it. I will give the holding the slide above the flame a try thanks x

Your explanation makes me understand how to make a smear using the plate agar
Simple and effective. Many thanks!
Glad you found it useful.
Great video I learnt a lot here.
Hi can I ask what should be the next procedure or next step after this?

sir! where is all this experiment is happening I mean in laminar flow?????
hello Dr how I will say this bacteria is sensitive to this antibiotics (products) microbiological analysis thanks.
if the antibiotic inhibits the growth of the bacteria, then the bacteria is sensitive to the antibiotic
To speed the air dry can i blow on it??
I've seen another video that suggests holding the slide 15 or so centimeters over bunson burner flame/alcohol lamp flame.

Go to the one-minute mark: th-cam.com/video/sClkMb8xWZ0/w-d-xo.html
pls dont do that because your mouth is full of bacterias and can contaminate the slide
