- Take an in-depth look at how petri dishes are prepared using dehydrated culture media. In this example, we are preparing Hardy Diagnostics Criterion™ MacConkey agar, a medium intended for the isolation and differentiation of Gram-negative bacteria. Use our preparation tips to prevent bubbles or other flaws from forming in the agar. To learn more about Hardy Diagnostics, visit our website. go.hardydiagnostics.com/yt-ha...

Thank your brother is here with me and I will get it more information
Thank you for the video
Love from India ❤
Thank for the video, I really benefit from it
You're welcome Jimoh Rahama! I'm glad you found it helpful
thank you for the video , i usually never autoclave the media , specially not the selective. i test a small quantity for contamination and if it is okay i do not autoclave the , i just heat it for 10 muntes after the agar has totally melted and it does the job.
For sterility assurance, we do recommend autoclaving the media. If you have any questions or want to dive deeper into the "why" of it, feel free to reach out to our Technical Services team at TechnicalServices@HardyDiagnostics.com, they're an amazing team who'd be happy to explain more!
This is a very good tutorial, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
❤ easy to understand good work
Informative
Очень интересная плита для приготовления сред
4:34 Is it okey to add the supplement outside of the clean bench?
It was nice watching
Thanks!
Make a video of spread plate & pour plate method.
Thnks for such useful video
I am glad it was helpful.
Should we add additional amount of agar agar for solidification?
Thanks from Libay
You are very welcome!
Is it ok to autoclave for 1 hour and a half??
Why did you put the hose inside the autoclave into Erlen?
Thank you for your question. The hose is actually a temperature probe. As the video explains the probe can be placed directly into the media (which is in the Erlenmeyer flask aka “Erlen”). As the directions state: “Place the flask of boiling media into an autoclave to sterilize. If your autoclave is equipped with a temperature probe, the temperature probe can be placed directly into the media and the cycle parameters will be based on the readings of the probe.”
I made cetrimide agar and there are moisture on media but idk why
Why does boiling for too long damage the media, but autoclaving at 120 degrees doesn't?
You can boil it longer than one minute, we do it all the time with no issues. However bubble formation should be avoided
Why can't I work in one of your labs
❤❤❤🎉
How to pop up bubbles if don't have flame.....
try using a pipette :)
You can also try misting the inside of your empty flask with 75% ethanol, see if this helps!
Sterile Loop may help you out
quicjly blow torch it , i use it in my lab
Sounds like John Lithgow.
gak ngecek ph mas?
Good eye! We do actually check the pH of all our media for specific pH ranges. That video is in the works, and is coming soon. Stay tuned!
You are make a only false media make a real culture media
What do you mean by that
