Antibiotics does not inhibit antibacterial activity, it acts against bacteria. what is the mechanism of the antibiotics by which it increase digoxin absorption from GIT by inhibiting/ killing the bacteria present in GIT? kindly explain. Potassium sparing diuretics cause Hyperkalemia not hypokalemia. Activation of PKA activates L-type Calcium channel that causes calcium influx through myocardial cell membrane, increase in cytoplasmic calcium activates sarcoplasmic reticulam and efflux of calcium into the cytoplasm , this causes increased myocardial contractility and consequent systole.
