Hey Coach, As a physician of 38 yrs I doubt I will need the skills you so artfully review, however many of us geezers still renew and your presentations are not only helpful but presented in a very enjoyable manner. Thanks
Quick question, with amoidarone for VT/VF arrest, does one just keep bolusing amiodarone until ROSC/ no ROSC? Is the infusion only for maintenance once ROSC obtained?
Amiodarone is only given twice during VF/pVT arrest : First dose is 300mg IV Push and the second dose is 150mg IV Push. The way I remember: Shock(1), Shock(2), EPINEPHRINE, Shock (3), AMIODARONE 300mg, Shock (4), EPINEPHRINE, Shock (5), AMIODARONE 150mg. The equel number of shocks are followed by Epi and the odd number of shocks (3 & 5) is followed by Amio. Infusion is not used during cardiac arrest.
@@TheResuscitationCoach it actually really does . From most of the cases I have used it for hypotension , a reflex Brady follows. I think it's to do with the baroreceptors

Adrenaline seems to result into a bradycardia. I don't know if anyone has experienced this yet
You would probably need to share more details in what situation you experienced this.
