- In this video we get our hands on the new DJI Mavic 3 Cine Premium Combo drone. If you are a cinematographer and are looking for a portable drone with all the features to help you capture the shot and remove some human error, this is it. Equipped with a dual-camera system featuring a Hasselblad 4/3 CMOS camera with 12.8 stops of dynamic range and a 28x zoom lens. The battery life has now been enhanced to deliver a flight time of up to 46 minutes, so with all 3 batteries that is over two hours of total flight time! The DJI Mavic 3 Cine also supports 10-bit D-log and is capable of shooting in 5.1K/50fps Apple ProRes 422HQ and even has a 1TB built-in SSD which is so convenient for when you go to fly and realize you forgot to bring a memory card - I can’t be the only one who has done this. @@aixotube I charge more than $5k for 30 seconds of exposure on my channel that's tiny compared to PM's. If you think being given a $5k means anything, then you really don't understand the value of youtube exposure. Frankly, I wouldn't care if PM took the drone plus $50k for this video, it was still a great video with very fair points.

I never comment on TH-cam videos, but I felt this one deserved a comment. My first thought was admittedly: “is Pete alright? Seems a little sad today.” I almost immediately corrected myself with something along the lines of “it’s good he’s not forcing toxic positivity vibes into a video if it doesn’t feel right, good for him for being himself”.
As the video continued a loved it more and more. Definitely seemed genuine and authentic. Thanks for continually pushing yourself and all creators to innovate and try new things, including being authentic with the voice and tone of yet another tech review. Thanks for reading, thanks for being you.

I noticed that about halfway through. That is why this video got me hooked to continue watching because it was calming and soothing to listen to Peter talking. I think more TH-camrs should start following this concept. Background music is my biggest pet peeves on TH-cam because sometimes I can't hear shit what people are saying and I have to repeat the video multiple times just to get it!

I really admire your usual editing but i also really enjoyed this, no super edited B-rolls, no music, it's okay to tone down once in a while
I shoot just about everything at 24p but when it comes to drone shots I've been using 30p. Those 6 extra frames really smooths out the video so it doesn't look so jittery. You should try it.

All due respect to PM, but feel like he was forced to leave out some major shortcomings of this ship. Imagine it’s hard for him not to be able to share his opinion in full, if in fact DJI had a script of sorts for him to adhere to. Could explain lack of enthusiasm/objectivity.

The drone is sick, but I think for most people it is overkill. You probably won't see the difference with the air 2s on a phone, so I think most people will stay with air 2s or another drone!

You'd see a difference between this and the 2S, but not much against 2 Pro. 2S has a significantly worse lens than the 2 Pro, noise from vignetting is very significant in video at night
If you can’t buy it just don’t whinge. Let oteurs buy it. Enjoy your air 2s.

Right off the bat...the audio on the intro montage was spot on. A reminder that drones don't record audio, but those selections made it. The water, the air, the birds.

As always, the problem is not the footage quality but TH-cam's compression which creates huge pixel clouds and lagging.

I want the Mavic 3 because of that Four Thirds sensor and crazy long flight time, but if the years of buying new gear have taught me anything, is that despite it looking much better than my Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic Mini, really really, if I spend the $3000 for it, all my pictures and footage will look identical on my mobile devices.
My Panasonic DMC-GH4 with its MFT sensor looked way worse than my Sony a7R II with its FF sensor, yet its pictures looked just as awesome. Image quality is not the only ingredient in compelling images and footage.
Still I'll probably end up getting the Mavic 3 Fly More Combo eventually because life is too short and I can't die without knowing what 40 minutes of non-stop flight time feels like. 😄

It's a great drone but it's over priced imo. The single drone should be priced at $1800 USD. Fly more combo should be $2200 and the Cine version should be $3500.

Absolutely. Had the same feeling with his Dji Action 2 Review. He probably didnt even really test it because he is busy with other stuff.
@@Amisshot Apart from Canon cameras, of which he's an ambassador after all, Peter is not a gear review guy... he himself said so in a podcast with Matti. He does it for sponsorship reasons mostly... the money should be pretty good. He's professional enough in them but if you look closely enough you can tell he would rather be doing something else.
Wasn't that impressed with the footage either. Sort of felt like this was a gag or something. Like it was shot on the mini.

It's a cool drone, with a lot of nice features, which is what you would expect from DJI. However, I would probably get the Air 2s from the price standpoint. Heck, I could get the Air 2s and the DJI FPV drone for cheaper than the Mavic 3 Cine.
That's exactly the combo I have.
Not just for the price but for the size of the drone. I think mavic air 2 drones are a perfect balance between size(packability), quality and price.
I'm actually thinking about doing the same thing.. th fly more combo for the air 2S seems very good for the price point. And it still get great footage and photos.

@@harmonichealings exactly. Low light is where my air 2 falls apart. Air 2s should be significantly better but they just can't compete with a bigger sensor. If theres plenty of light out, most people could never tell the difference in quality between the airs or their larger brother mavic 2 or 3
