That simply is not true---far from it. Johnny Cash is one of a handfull of artist that should thank their lucky stars for being able to make a living singing when they couldn't carry a note with a wheelbarrow. He milked the most out of his voice--and give him credit,sold many records,had some great hits,but please,dont call him a god of music.It's so insulting.
@@captinbeyond being a good musician isn't solely down to technical skill - see Mick Jagger, he had incredible stage presence and originality, and so did Cash, hence why they're some of the best selling artists of all time. Cash didn't have anyone to thank but himself for being true to the kind of songs he wanted to produce - he did just that, and created a whole new sound. So whilst he's not the god of music, it's certainly not insulting to proclaim him as such, and certainly not as far from the truth as you believe it to be.
@@b.mrobinson8964 Guess my comments went over your head. Simply put, Cash couldn't sing for sh** but yeah, he got a lot out of the voice he had. Just don't call him"god of music". He's the country version of Bob Dylan and sings as poorly.
@@strike1581 I grew up on Lester Flatt/Scruggs on saturday nights, Porter Wagner/Wilber brothers etc. I love all music though. From blue grass to hard rock, i like almost all music. I just call them like I see them. Johnny Cash was no great singer, but got a lot out of the talent he had. Just don't...don't call him some kind of god. He was not.
