I would urge everyone to go and see this musical, it is the most emersive and exhilarating theatre going experience I have ever had. You almost dont want it end, and when it does, you want it start all over again. The performers are incredible. George Asprey as Scar was awe inspiring.
My parents took me to see it in the Lyceum for my 18th birthday since it's been my favourite film since it came out. I cried when it started, I cried so so much. I'm going back to see it!
@@sphumlilemkhize7175 The music your sister is singing is Black American Gospel. The African music is backing that up. The power of the Lion King comes from the Black American gospel.
This makes me cry every time, i was privileged enough to see this cast preform The Lion King in London in 2006, it is one of the special things in my life that even if i am 90 years old and forget everything i will always remember.
I saw this musical for the first time when I was 5, and i still remember the chills i felt from the start to the end. Now I'm 20, i saw this musical another 4 times and every time i feel the same chills. Pure perfection.
I went to see this for my 21st birthday. It was the first movie I saw at the cinema when I was 4. I was literally grinning through the whole show, but during the circle of life even cried happy tears because it's so beautiful. If you can see it, DO!
i saw them in may 2009, it was the most amazing thing i ever seen. i would love to see it again. i wish they would release the west end show on dvd, it will be a sellout. i will definitely go again. i am so gratefull to the person to that took. its the best ever present i have ever received on this planet earth :-)
i was sitting in front of my computer with my mouth open, that's how much i got blown away by this performance. i'm in awe of that lady who starts off the song.
Just saw this on Broadway. Couldn't believe the quality of the talent- we thought the vocals were recorded at first!! Stunning performance. The dancing/acting/singing, just outstanding. Majorly impressed by the young crew members too! It was just breathtaking.
Saw TLK in London with my family. My kids grew up on this movie, and so it was a special treat and pleasure to see it on stage. Fantastic performance, so incredibly moving and beautiful. We had front row centre seats, and the giraffes' heads were literally in our laps at one point! A superlative night at the theatre!
My eyes watered and the hairs behind my neck stood as I watched it at Lyceum in London. The vocals are just wholesome # struggle, pain and joy of life bound in to one!
This must be the best story and musical in history when i listen to the song and how people express themself on stage as animals are so kool and the story teach me loads of things in life...I love this musical!
I saw Lion King in 2008 on a visit to London. A fabulous show but my lasting memory is the richness of Brown Lindiwe Mkhize's singing voice as Rafiki. Simply stunning! I would love to hear her make a gospel album. Her voice really touches the soul.
Beautiful for every moment!!! My now 10 Year old Daughter's first ever Musical and she loved it to bits!!! It was amazing in every sense of the word. This song will remain in my heart for as long as I live. Very Happy Memories!!! 💜💜💜💛💛💛
Saw this cast in London in 2005...the opening act had me crying like a baby. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever had the pleasure to watch. I keep looking for a close venue in the US so I can share it with my kids and grandkids.
I saw this 3 years ago. And LOVED it. Their costumes are absolutely one of the most amazing for broadway, that I've ever seen. When I have kids, I want to take them to this some day.
Been to see the show in London twice with my high school, it's absolutely incredible. I was 12 the first time and I was pretty much sat there with my mouth hanging open for all of this song. If you ever get the chance, go and see it, it's amazing.
i was so lucky to have a chance to talk to the woman who played rafiki after the show... only for 30 seconds but she seemed to friendly! i really want to see it again, i loved it!

I actually was gifted enough to watch this entire show live up at the Paramount theater in Seattle. Besides the singers in Wicked, this thing was the best I've ever heard.
girl i cried too when i saw it first in london! i studied abroad there this summer and went with some girls from my program, and we all bawled like babies at the opening scene. it just hit so close to home for me since i watched this movie as a child. i had never seen the broadway before, and was so overwhelmed that i cried in the opening. there's no shame in that! lol
this brought me to tears :) I am 15 and it has been my dream for years to see this musical live on broadway, and me and my mother are currently saving up money to go see it ! I cannot wait!
The Grand Canyon; Niagara Falls; a sunset on a Hawaiian beach, and seeing the Lion King in person= something everyone needs to see before they die. You will never forget it!
went to see this live in london about 2 years ago, at one point during this song i litterally couldn't breathe lol. It will take something special to top this for me :)
When I saw this, last fall also in London, I seriously got tears in my eyes after this Circle of Life performance. Seriously. Almost the most beautiful I've ever experienced. Reminded me of being a child and all that. Just gives me the shivers every time I think about it. If I could see it again, I so would.
i went to london for my eighth grade trip a few years ago and this play was the highlight of the trip. it completely moved me. lion king && wicked are my favorite plays
saw this live a year ago. My seat was third row center. Needless to say, the music and singing smack me like a ton of bricks. Before long I was choking up and tears were falling from my eyes. It was just so beautiful and powerful. WoW! I would go back just to see this opening. The whole spectacle of it is just wonderful. This video is bringing wonderful memories...and again I'm crying ;-')
I may be able to say things in this comment section, but when I open my mouth to attempt to comment on the actress's singing in real life nothing but amazed gibberish comes out. she literally left me speechless. Well done.
Seen this this year absolutely loved it. Didn't think the theatres were for me but honestly ladies and gents please go and see this at least once in you lifetime :)
