I remember when I was a kid we went to this when it came to Seattle. This scene was especially stunning. This song has even more meaning to me now ever since my dad died. He lives in me!
TimeandMonotony same here! I bought tickets for my grandfather to see this live. It was the first, and last present I bought for him with my own money.
We did this in icoc church in 2000 we performed it all over nyc. One of the teens from that show is the dark prophet of youtube. Click me to find his vids. He lives in you now
Well of course Night and the spirit of life calling : Genesis 1:2 Wait! There's no mountain too great, Hear these words and have faith : Isaiah 54:10 (to 12), Psalm 121:1 He lives in you, He lives in me: John 15:4 , Gal 2:20 He watches over everything we see (Prov 15:3 Psalm 33:18 ) and probably a lot more
I LOVE HER VOICE, I saw her in broadway, HER VOICE BLEW ME AWAY, I love that even though its trained, its not too trained, it sounds authentic. ANd that makes what she sings more real. I was in tears when I saw this in broadway
I saw this on Broadway a week or so ago, and it's the best thing I've seriously ever seen, the whole time I had chills, and Tshidi Manye is just purely amazing, and so talented, along with Dashaun Young and the rest of the cast. It's truely an amazing experience!
The Lion King is a show that all walks of life would enjoy. I have seen about 90% of all the shows in NY. I have seen The Lion King 7 times taken someone different each time. If one is not a show goer. The Lion King is the one to take them to see. The singing, colors of the clothing and the movements on the stage. All I can say, it is a sight to behold.
I've seen this musical as well and it is simply amazing. The soundtrack recording does not even compare to the awesomeness of seeing it in real life and I love the stage versions of the songs and how they literally come to life. Also, the costume and interactive set designs are AMAZING and are deserving of all the praise and awards. Go see it if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed!
I just saw The Lion King in New York on 9/9. I had incredible second row seats and this song was my favorite part of the show. The way the Mufasa reflection was portrayed was incredible and Tshidi Manye is flawless.
I just saw this last night in New York on Broadway and it was AMAZING.... This song ad a few others made me almost cry the songs touch your heart in away.
South Africa should be crowned the king of Africa for its culture tells everything about Africa in full i love ur culture so much though I’m a Cameroonian
It's not the same without Samuel e wright tsidii le Lola and Jason raise but it works as much rip Jason raise the smile of a son and a aura of an angel
For the people who cried to this... you are not alone...my mother is battling terminal breast cancer right now and I know she will live in me for the rest of my life...thanks for the upload
This video (or any recording, really) does no justice to hearing it live. Seriously. I saw it in the Minskoff theater last week, and was simply blown away Manye's voice. Hearing it live was one of the most amazing experiences ever. I'd see it every day if it weren't 95 dollars a ticket. -_-
The Lion King 2 isn't on Broadway; He Lives In You was a song originally from the Broadway version of The Lion King that they decided to put in the second movie.
Yes, they do! It's the most amazing thing that can't be explained. There are stars and then suddenly, there's his face. You have to see it, because words don't do it justice!
I saw the second movie before I got to see the play, I remember being in school as the song began playing, getting chills and goosebumps all over, I began tearing up, turned around and everyone in my classroom had tears in their eyes. This song is powerful :X
Ok I watched this show today and OH MY GOD BEST SHOW IBE EVER SEEN! My friend was young samba (Joshua Park) and just wow.....I hadn't seen the lion king for SOOO long and it's SO HEARTBREAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL OHMYGOD!! I cried a bit when this song was performed (I moly restrained tears due to my mascara that wasn't waterproof) but OHMYGOD AM I CRYING NOW! Even though I haven't lost anyone really I find this song soso soooo beautiful and heartbreaking and I just LOVE IT! So many tears though....so many tears....
one word beatifull i saw this musical 2 times in holland it was great!! but i think the english version is also verry verry verry great i want to see that version to hihi
I am in the broadway community and I have other friends in the show! But after the show and before it...even at events that we do like the Easter Bonnet she has always been very nice! And she is always on the money when I have seen her on stage!
I saw them at The Grove yesterday. Well, only Tshidi Manye (Rafiki), Dashaun Young (Simba), and Chauntee Schuler (Nala). They weren't in costume. They sang Circle of Life, Shadowland, Endless Night, and Can You Feel the Love Tonight? I wanted my nieces to see them I've seen the Broadway show back in 2002 and bought the soundtrack so for years, I got used to the original cast. But they all sang very beautifully. I wish I could afford to see the actual show in Las Vegas so I could show my nieces.
This is my favorite song of the whole play.

Guillotine
with Endless Night a close second?
Shadowland is mine

What about simba actor
Rumor has it, but Mayne might be the only actor in Lion King Theatrical History who kept their role for now the past 13 years!
The music in the show is really what makes it! This song is so beautifully deep- I literally couldnt stop crying the whole way through the show!
+Natalie Brown ugh, me too. from start to finish it was just a waterfall from my face
Same 🙏
No matter how many times I watch this, I still get chills when the choir first sings "he lives in you!"
Always!!!❤
This song makes me cry every time i hear it, there is just so much truth and love in the lyrics.
by far the best part of the musical...this video doesn't even give it justice
I know I cant be the only one who thinks this would be a phenomenal Christian gospel song!!!! So beautiful and the lyrics are perfect!!
84Lace I have always interpreted this song to symbolize God and his love for us ! This is one of my fav songs from the Lion King

Yes me and my husband said that it could be a song about the Lord Jesus.
Well of course
Night and the spirit of life calling : Genesis 1:2
Wait! There's no mountain too great, Hear these words and have faith : Isaiah 54:10 (to 12), Psalm 121:1

Every time I feel a little down I will watch this and just smile at the sheer amazingness that is Dashaun Young's voice box and dance skills.
Absolutely. She has it all: beauty, conviction, emotion, incredible vocal range...Just perfect for such an epic story.
I've seen the show 4 times in 4 different locations and I STILL LOVE IT!!!
I watched the live musical two days ago. It was amazing! And this is by far my favourite part of the show. The setting was amazing. Really beautiful.
Him and Jason Raize are both phenomenal. I hope he rests in peace. I'm glad thyey found someone to carry on the role of Simba.
I love that song because I keep play it over and over again
This is such a beautiful song, I love it, the show was AMAZING to say the least! Such hard work goes into this musical. BRAVO

I wanna cry everytime I listen to this. It is one of the very few songs i can listen to a billion times and never get tired of it.
I could watch this over and over again. And in fact, that's what I've been doing :P
Watched the broadway a week ago. I still am obsessed with this song- it can’t leave my mind

I know some people are saying that this song is "stolen" from Lion King 2. But I think it makes this song so much better and have even more meaning.
plus the musical had it first :D
I just saw The Lion King in New York on 9/9. I had incredible second row seats and this song was my favorite part of the show. The way the Mufasa reflection was portrayed was incredible and Tshidi Manye is flawless.

I just saw this last night in New York on Broadway and it was AMAZING.... This song ad a few others made me almost cry the songs touch your heart in away.
I love it when she turns and says 'have faith', almost like she's telling him off ^_^
How is it stolen from Lion King 2? This IS Lion King....Disney owns it all.
mcclinam he means because that song was in lion king 2 not 1
It was suppose to be in the first one but they cut the song and put it the second one
+naomi green actually no. they sang this first then they put it in 2
+naomi green He Lives In You was put into the musical first in 1997, then put into the 2nd The Lion King film in 1998.
