- Hello everyone! Welcome to my channel! In this video I will be making Abala wrapped in banana leaves. Abala is a common Gambian street food. It can also be made as a home cooked snack. Abala is made with a side sauce and can also be enjoyed with fried fish too. Abala, Olleleh, Akara and moi moi are in the same family though each are prepared differently. It is so simple and easy to make, just follow the step by step tutorial and you will be on your way in making yourself something delicious Abala.
All you need in this recipe is....
Black eye peas
Salt to taste
Palm oil
Onions
Scallions
Habanero peppers
Cube seasoning of your choice or salt to taste
Bell peppers
