I had a similar noise in my 2017 Camry. Took the cabin filter out and there was a massive mouse nest on top of the filter. (blows down). I suspected a dead mouse in the blower coz that's what I had in the house blower which was making a banging noise from a rotating mouse. Today I took the blower out and it had a lot of mouse nest in the fan. Cleaned that out and the blower is now strong and quiet....... I am 77 in November, 6 ft, 200 lbs, and contorting into the passenger side footwell upside down was agony ! Don't like the 3 mounting screws going into plastic !
