I have used both..both are amazing. I use the night serum at night, obviously and the vitamin C hyularonic in the day. I've noticed huge difference. I had rosacea patches on my cheeks with redness and flaking and a m not kidding it's all gone!!!!. I've been using for over 6 months. I did have some minor breakouts initially which apparently is common with retinol, but only at the very beginning and nothing major
I’ve been using the Retinol Night serum every night for about a month and it actually works. I breakout because of my hormones. But since I’ve been using it, I haven’t had a single breakout. I can’t believe out of everything I’ve used that a Dollar Tree product actually works for me. The under eye roll on serum is great too! I just purchased the Hyaluronic Acid Vitamin C serum today to use during the day but I’m sure it’s just as good.
This is sooooooooooo helpful for a beginner on skin care like me! Girl 90s babies we gotta stick together. I am finally at the point in my life where i see the stress is happening all over my face and i need to GET ON IT before i hit my late 20s! thanks for being so smart and inspirational ! These are super informative and you hare helping so many girls liek me to get on our skin care routines! Thanks :)
Derm Dr. Dray actually spoke on the retinol one in a video! She was actually super surprised to find it at the dollar store with the ingredients it has. She didn't find/show the hyaluric + vit c one. I wish she did though so she could share her thoughts on it! I'm a licensed Esthetician and recently purchased both and am pretty impressed as well. I also highly suggest the brand The Ordinary for great, affordable, straight to the point skin care! Thanks for the video!
I have the retinol and vitamin c from dollar tree and the vitamin c works better it brightened my under eyes and took a wrinkle that I’ve had for years on my forehead away.
I've been using that product for a while and I love it they actually have hyaluronic acid Serum at the Dollar Tree to I grabbed tons of that and tons of the retinol double-strength Night Repair Serum.
Just picked up the vitamin C, but was wary about dollar tree retinol. After watching this, I think I will stick to my CeraVe retinol. Thank you for breaking down the ingredients!!
I randomly came across your channel, and I think that it's crazy that you don't have more subscribers! You're very charming as well as informational in the last couple of videos that I've seen. ♡
Aww thanks doll! That means so much to me. I hate when youtubers waste my time talking about everything but the purpose of the video lol. So I make mines to the point,
I got in the habit of using the Retinol Night Repair serum for about a month. And I’m honestly amazed at the results! My face usually breaks out from my hormones. And so far I haven’t had breakouts! I’m shocked that I’m using a product that works and it’s from the Dollar Tree! I also use the under eye roll on serum as well. The serums also soak into the skin very well and don’t leave you feeling oily. My face is smooth and the fine lines that I had caused from stress seem to have almost disappeared!
I just bought both of these today along with the jade roller all at dollar tree!! I'm excited to try these out along with my moisturizer. There's also a dermatologist approved charcoal mask at dollar tree i want to try!!
I had bought this same brand back in 2020 and I saw the ingredients list and I just thought it was too good to be true. I didnt have much hope for them BCS well it's a dollar. But it worked way to well,my skin healed and was clear in 2 weeks,by just cleasing with Cetaphil twice a day and applying this serum at night. It completely saved my life,I had used other 5-9 dollar products and they were nothing compared to this one dollar one. I've been using it ever sense and yesterday I just bought their new face cleanser. Really good ingredients and works really well with my skin. and their Product that helps reduce eye puffiness and dark circles,it faded them quite a lot which is great considering I just used it last night. This is way too good -15 y/o teen (skin type: oily)
Hi Doll! Sorry for the late reply! I heard vitamin c is great for lightening dark spots, but I didn't see much of a difference for dark spots when using this product.
Which one goes first and which goes second and how often do i use them 😭 ima literally throw away the retinal one lol but the other one should I apply before or after moisturizer?
The hyaluronic acid is applied day and night after washing your face. Use while skin is wet and don't dry off! The retinol is only for bedtime use. If you are just using a serum and moisturizer apply the serum first then moisturizer to lock it in. (You can do what's called a retinol sandwich which is layering moisturizer-retinol serum-moisturizer so it doesn't dry out your skin.) Use SPF in the morning!
@@rachelanastasia1977 Of course! Forgot to mention the retinol is over the counter and doesn't say how strong it is but it's gentle and non-drying for me. I'm still using it and going through the retinol purge phase (ugh..) but won't be buying this after I run out. :)
I'm so confused about that retinol😕 I've seen the bottle with the brand name as "cre'me de skin nutritions" and others with "skin nutritions botanicals". I can't find the official page or something to confirm which one is the original. I live in Venezuela, many products can be fake so I wanna mske sure I'm buying the right brand. Do you anything about this? 🙁
Honestlyyyyy I've tried looking up the company and I couldn't find it. I bought this at Dollar Tree in the US. It worked great when I had it so I didn't worry too much.
This video is so old so idk if u will even respond but I just purchased these today… I use clinic moisturizer, should I use this after applying these? Should I wait a certain amount of time before or after washing face to apply this or should I apply it after clinic moisturizer or just not use both? Idk??? 😅 help please 😬
Ahhh sorry for the late reply doll. I'm just coming back to YT and getting through my messages. I'm not an esthetician or skin expert but usually you layer your products thinnest to thickest so the thinner more liquidy products absorb faster. So use this first on damp skin so the hyaluronic acid could absorb the water into your skin. Once you feel that has been absorbed into your skin apply moisturizer. Hope that helps!
Micro needling is dangerous and should be performed by licensed professional. However, if you choose to do it at home with no training, make sure your tool and face is clean and sanitized. You can use a Hyaluronic acid following to nourish, stimulate collagen, and hydrate your skin. I would absolutely not use this Hyaluronic + Vit C serum though post procedure because of the Vit C in it. -Licensed Esthetician.
Just subscribed.. I deal with acne.. got a microdermabrasion tool by spa science.. as well as other things. I watched your video on it. I pray that doing facials will help me.. thank you
Aww thanks doll! It does help. Don't start too aggressive with overwashing and too much exfoliation. Be gentle with your skin and give it time. it will work! :)
Polysorbate 20 is not itself toxic, but it is treated with ethylene oxide which may become contaminated with 1,4-dioxane. Therefore, if your bottle is not contaminated, it's fine. Contamination is always a concern with all cosmetic products. You literally just had to read one article on the topic properly and failed. Low reading comprehension is not cute.
Exactly why I included a note onscreen at 5:05 because I forgot to say it out loud in the video. Reading is fundamental indeed... Maybe you should get that checked out?
